Sometimes you can find some good things at this one, and sometimes you can't. There will be times you will go in to a clean, stocked store and the next time you go in it will be a thrashed, dirty store. Some days you will get nice employees working, the next time you will get pissy employees who are mad for no good reason. The last time I was in there some dude had peed on the floor and it stressed the guy at the register out because he had people in line. I felt bad for him, but none of the other employees came to help. I will say that they seem to be broadening their scope of items in the store which is nice because I like to see new stuff coming in. I slipped and fell because the store is a mess. When I went to tell the associates the shrugged it off and didn't even ask if I was okay or not or if I needed anything. The store manager and the associate there was completely hostile and rude when I had asked to file an incident report. The store is always trashed but you can still find some good items. The part I don't like is the staff is ever changing and I miss the staff that was there years ago. I wish I knew their names. I was in that store for less then 30 minutes and you asked for back up 3 times (that I heard). Finally a manager and another associate walked to the next register to only say that they can't ring in that register and then walked away to leave you ringing all alone once again. What about the rest of the registers? Anyway I though it was super unprofessional for the manager to not even acknowledge everyone standing in your line or even her associate working so hard. They were just roaming the store talking not even working on any other projects. As a manager myself I ask the owner of this establishment to do better training. I come to this location pretty often. I came in today and this cashier who was rude and off putting because her customer service was trash . Line was backed up and she's just laughing cussing with the manager behind her and completely ignoring the customers. I'm huge on customer service an I felt very unimportant being a customer at this dollar tree. They always have good stuff here and I usually don't have a problem with the service but today the cashier was talking on his cell phone talking about how he needs to clean his house and dropping F-bombs and swearing like it was the normal thing to do! Plus he was literally shoving all my stuff in my bag and I had Halloween decorations in there. Nice Dollar Tree! They have a lot more inventory than the Benicia location. I found awesome makeup and bathroom organizers here. Me and my girlfriend stopped in to check it out since we havent been in there since the renevation to the front of the store...Which looks great. But its like putting lipstick on a pig no matter what you do to make it look good its still a PIG. THAT STORE IS DISGUSTING.....Whoever manages that place needs to be FIRED!!!!! I've driven by this dollar tree on numerous occasions but never bothered to pop in because honestly the area looks pretty sketchy. However once inside. It wasn't too bad. The aisles were well stocked and organized except certain things were obviously tossed about here and there by customers. Also just because it's a dollar, besides it being cheaper, always check what you get. I was going to get my dogs a hairbrush and grabbed one. However once handling it I noticed that most of the comb was rusty. Yikes! Another issue is that they open very few lines. From entering and leaving, the lines were down the aisles with people waiting to purchase. They also had a couple of obnoxious and rude customers. I couldn't wait to hurry out of there! read more

I always have considerably low expectations of customer service at the dollar tree, but for the most part I try to be understanding because like them, I wouldn't want to work there unless I had to put food on the table or needed the extra money. Customer service here is pretty much non-existent, but the 2 stars are for keeping he area well-maintained. Everything is on the shelves, not a lot of stuff on the floor, it looks neat and orderly which is a perk. They have a nice selection of cleaning products and I like that even though they do have a frozen section, it's considerably well-stocked. Just remember that when you pick something up to check the container that it hasn't been opened or damaged. This includes the box it came in! I know it's tHe dollar tree but my complaints aren't even about the products or the store it's about the customer service here. The cashier (receipt says her name was Connie) was so blah and rude. No hello no formality, just "do you want a bag?" In a I don't want to be here attitude. Then she gives me my total (bought 6 of the same item) and it's like 3 dollar more than it should be. I point it out and without even looking at whatt she rang up or even at me says, "it's taxes." I politely tell her there is not way it's over $3 in taxes for $6 worth of purchases. And still she gave me attitude and a look to go with it, until she finally checks and sees she scanned the item like 9 times instead of 6. Bottom line, pay attention when you're given a total. this store sells products that are toxic for the animals for which they are intended. I used Sergeants flea and tick medicine for cats and my cat almost died. He has a very severe and expensive illness from it. The flea and tick medication was examined by my vet bc of the immediate reaction the cat had and the hair loss on the application spot. And she said 2 ingredients on the front of the package were toxic for cats and flea and tick meds aren't regulated so they can be sold anywhere. I called the store and told them and they will NOT take it off the shelves!!! I went online and discovered people across the country are having animals with severe reactions and even death related to this flea and tick medicine! She also,by the way has her son's working there taking away hours from several employees that had been there for some time. This location has really gone down hill the past year. The shelves are practically half empty with unpacked boxes everywhere. It's close to Christmas so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt for that.... but the floor is disgustingly filthy, covered in store items, dirt and spills. The general manager of this establishment has management skills that are less to be desired. Extremely unprofessional and unkempt. Name is Rob. couldnt navigate around his own store and couldnt answer simple questions in a professional manner. used profane language frequently and was generally lazy. as a customer i would expect for him to be able to tell me where common items are. very rude and unattentive. EXTREMELY DISRESPECTFUL to his employees who seemed to know more about the store then he did. one employee who was working with stock was VERY knoweldgeable, cheerful, helpful and accommadating. and seemed to be carrying the workload for more than just her share. i would not shop there unless i was able to talk to her if i had questions. im surprised she isnt the general manager. i would hope they would terminate him since doesnt seem to be able to handle anything in a business productive manner. due to the general managers blatent disregard for store policies( in which i read on their wall), respect for his employees and himself, and extreme lack of professionalism, him and his store that he manages will lose my personal business and professional business. there are plenty of better quality discount stores to shop at. i maintain the general manager was a disgust to interact with. read more
