I also read reviews on the narrow aisle, but I went last week and was surprised of the space. Myself and another gentleman were able to walk through the aisle shoulder to shoulder. Some reviews stated about the how disorganized this place was, but that usually happens when they receive a new shipmemt of stuff and they're reorganizing their racks. This store has slowly been improving. They added a second cash register a couple months ago. My last experience was great. I was waiting in line and the cashier came and told me she would take me. I will continue coming here for their closeness to my house and their cheap prices.

Today is Chinese New Year, and we were heading to a nearby temple. She repeatedly referred to it as a "church" and was very dismissive and aggressive in her tone. My dad was parked in a handicap spot and does have a valid handicap placard displayed, so that made the situation even more upsetting. It felt unnecessary and targeted, especially since there were plenty of open spaces in the lot. There's a way to speak to customers with respect, and this wasn't it. The whole interaction left us feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome. Definitely not the kind of treatment anyone should receive.

The Bargain Box is managed by the Assistance League of Arcadia, and one of their worthy endeavors is Operation School Bell, which provides much needed clothing as well as school supplies such as backpacks and books to children in need in neighboring local schools. There's a small parking lot but there should be plenty of street parking available if needed. Also, be aware that the store has limited hours since it's managed by volunteers. It's only open two days a week, Wednesdays and Saturdays, from 10am to 1pm.

I used a dustpan to shovel snow (1st time shoveling snow + using a dustpan to do it) LOL... it wasn't too bad actually. One gray dustpan was $4.49 + tax... not too shabby and it's the sturdy type, too. I didn't check out any other items in the shop, but from what I can tell, they do have some nifty knick knacks, small appliances, general household stuff, etc. It doesn't have a lot of space for customers to walk around though... there are only 2 aisles really... the one closest to the entrance and the one on the other side of the wall LOL. I grabbed one dustpan, waited in line (wait wasn't too bad), and paid cash for it. The lady at the cashier was pleasant. She may have been the owner... not 100% sure though.
