I felt pretty blindsided as one bag had nothing but jeans (American eagle, lucky brand, etc) only to name a few. I drove an hour to, stayed for an hour plus an hour back home. Went in to get a…read morefew snacks and drinks and yes one of the drinks I got was alcoholic and I was ready to present my id to the cashier but I am not from Texas I am from Colorado which our ids are digital via the mycolorado app.I tried to explain this to the cashier and she cut me off and said she needed to get her manager because she has never heard or seen that before,once the manager walked not even to the register but stood by the bathroom the cashier had told her that my id was on my phone and the manager said she couldn't take it because she had to scan it I had tried to explain to her that she can scan in but she also cut me off and told me no and to get out I asked for her manager number and she told me it was on the door I took a picture of the number to call on the door because I was upset and was plan on calling to complain to where she followed behind and locked the door. THIS WAS TOTALLY UNCALLED FOR. I Left and went to the shell next door and they had no problem scanning my id and selling me my alcoholic beverage.

After sitting a handful of items, my girlfriend asked the cashier if they had smaller sock, the lady working the registration said " what is on the shelf is what we have." My girlfriend asked, " all I was wondering is if you knew if y'all had a smaller pair of socks, the isle is too messy to know?" She said, " I don't know I don't do the stocking maybe you should go to Walmart". Her tone was very disgruntled. My girlfriend stated the clothing department where the socks are kept is very disorganized and many packages are on the floor and all over the place has mixed with underwear and socks do you have any knowledge if you have smaller socks and I will go look him up myself. I've seen the chaotic inventory mess described in other reviews, & it's no joke, it can be bad. But more than likely its not within this store's budget to allow its employees to come in early or stay late & properly restock. Also, when customers instantly start shuffling through those boxes & then leaving a mess, it only contributes to the disorganization. Regarding staff, I'd say 3/5 of the employees are friendly; 1/5 seem kind of grumpy & don't want to be there while the other 1/5 are rude; rather normal statistics. Otherwise there are only 3 faults that concern me. No matter how many people are working or lanes open, checking out is usually time consuming; however, if you buy anything breakable, they wrap your items properly which I can truly appreciate & I'm sure a contributing factor. Secondly, you must be diligent about checking expiration dates of any food purchased. It's usually only by 1-3 months, but still have to be cautious. Lastly, they seem to no longer have enough push baskets. I don't recall this being an issue a few months ago but now you often have to hangout near the front until one becomes available. Despite those details, for me, they have more than reprised themselves with the recent inventory expansion of their DIY & crafting materials for both general projects & holidays. Much of their selection's quality is good enough to use for creating gifts, resale items or decor for your own home without looking cheap. Also, their children's academic books are prefect for homeschoolers, kids needing help with a particular subject or that may want to simply get ahead. Adults with disabilities who are on the lower end of the spectrum can also easily utilize them. Since the books are offered by grade level and subject specific, it's easy to customize to the needs of any individual. Everything else within the store is pretty much on par with other locations. Freezer section is smaller than most so your options are limited. As of November 2019, & the subsequent 6 months or so, I've found it to be a decent store overall. It has its quarks but several other aspects out way the negatives, at least for me & even more so, my wallet. It's a shame it's rating is primarily based on such old reviews. Hopefully more people begin to have better experiences here & that will change.

Fincher's at the Stock Show where they had a booth selling Justin Boots -- and the experience was outstanding. Earlier that day, we visited several other booths and honestly felt disappointed. There was very little assistance, and most places seemed overpriced and uninterested in helping customers. Then we wandered into C.B. Fincher's booth and were greeted by J. Morton -- and everything changed. J. helped fit our twin boys and was incredibly patient with them as they tried to figure out what they wanted. He had them try on multiple boots in various sizes and took the time to teach them what to look for in the "perfect fit." He didn't rush them or push a sale. Instead, he focused on making sure they understood the fit and felt confident in their choice. He also made sure we, as parents, were completely comfortable and happy with their selections. The boots worked out great, the price was very fair, and the quality is excellent. What really stood out wasn't just the product -- it was the service. J. Morton was a true salesman in the best sense of the word. It was obvious that he cared more about making us feel welcome and taken care of than simply making a sale. Great prices. Great quality boots. But the real star of this western store is the people. Real quality products and real quality people. We'll absolutely be back.
