Also, it was difficult to see the storefront with all the stacked pallets of boxes. They have just about everything insight. Their price system is different. The merchandise is numbered then you find the number that corresponds with the price. The clothes rack were color coded. So each color represented a different price. I wanted to ask a question but the associate didn't speak English. Also, They do not have central ac, so it's cooled by Industrial fans. It actually keeps it cool though. Bought an iron from the Hulen location two weeks ago. Didn't get around to opening it until last…read morenight and found that it has been used and was burnt on the bottom. I lost my receipt somewhere during this tim frame. I attempted to do an exchange but because I didn't have my receipt I was out the money for the iron. Even though right next to the register they have a sign that states you exchange 3 items within 30 days without a receipt. They refused to honor this and stated they were waiting for a new sign with the "new policy". So I questioned as to why they still had the current sign up and were refusing to honor it. The manager said they "had" to have something posted so the current sign would stay up until the new one was posted. Thankfully I was only out $20 but needless to say I will not return to another AW Outlet if they can't honor what they have currently posted.

I even asked the lady at the front counter if they were accepting jeans which to her response was "yes we're always taking those!" I waited an hour instore for them to look through the clothes only to be told NOT ONE thing was taken. I felt pretty blindsided as one bag had nothing but jeans (American eagle, lucky brand, etc) only to name a few. I drove an hour to, stayed for an hour plus an hour back home. Pretty disappointing experience to be honest. The ladies at the front seemed nice and they even helped me wheel out my bags to my car. All in all an ok experience

His response was filled with ridicule and should never be expressed in such a way to a customer. I even told him he was being rude which he even laughed at! Congratulations on terrible service and certainly losing a customer before you could even gain one. I do not care what kind of deals you have or if I would spend 1/2 as much money - I refuse to shop anywhere in which staff is going to be disrespectful. We just purchased our first home and have a long list of general items as well as other odds and ends that are needed. We will NOT be purchasing them here and will gladly pay 3x the amount or more somewhere I don't have to be treated the way I was tonight. Common decency goes a long way, unfortunately a poor attitude and the disrespect exhibited that is a part of an associates personality can not be trained or taught, the only option is to be replaced. My standards for how a thrift store smells are very low, but this place smells borderline toxic to where I fear for the health of the employees breathing this in all day. I saw a good deal on a bike, a few vintage items and really good deals on candy bars but, I wonder what the expiration date is? They also had a few kitchen appliances that were interesting. You are greeted at the door most days and you always leave feeling like you spent your money in the right place. They have a variety of fruits, veggies, meats, flours, grain, etc... This is the place you would want to shop because it is an employee owned company so all of their employees have stock in the store, AWESOME! *P.S. Some days the lines can look like that of Walmart which is frustrating but they do keep them moving.
