NPS Layton - Didn't know they had a freezer section with produce and such

NPS Layton

Bargain hunters, observe! NPS is a treasure trove of items you can buy at a discount-sometimes a…read morevery steep one. The inventory here is made up of overstocked goods, damaged or refused shipments or even abandoned or unclaimed items. You never know what they are going to have, so each visit will be unique. This means it might be challenging to come in hoping to find something very specific, but if you're a little more flexible, you could snag some great treasures. The majority of the store appears to be clothing and household goods. There's also accessories, shoes, groceries, electronics and a little bit of furniture. My favorite part of the store is in the back corner called "Collectibles." This is where you'll find name brand clothing, handbags, watches and sunglasses. I had to restrain myself from buying $260 Jimmy Choo shoes, but they were a half size off and a little more worn that I would prefer. Most items in the store are new, but the collectible section does have pre-owned things as well.

I don't know what happened to this store, I used to love it. Lately though everytime I go in…read moresomething is different in a way that makes me not want to shop there. It feels like the store doesn't want to sell stuff, they put limits on how much you can buy (there's signs everywhere saying limit of 3), nothing is on sale anymore (they do 30% off plates instead of 30% off kitchen) . Absolutely no thanks to all that. If I'm going to a store to buy plates, I probably also want other kitchen supplies as well. I refuse to pay full sticker price at a store like NPS where the boxes are severely damaged and where it's a 50% probability that the item is damaged. They don't do many weekly sales anymore so It's incredibly rare lately to find anything at a great price, the prices at NPS are the same on Amazon. Without the additional percentage off, it doesn't make sense to buy from NPS. The only things you can actually get a good deal on is their almost expired food.

I don't care what industry expert Tony Koester says. Something ain't right. If you had confidence in your product, if you believed it worked, you would help me instead of blaming me. Really. Karl Saturday, February 20, 2016 4:51 PM Here's the situation: A dealer asked me to rate Bullfrog Snot behind an unsatisfied customer who returned it. I tried it on an a poor pulling O gauge engine of mine. I had a lot of trouble getting Bullfrog Snot to spread on to the wheels like the online video shows. I thinned some with water and successfully got it to spread on to the wheels. The next day the wheels felt promisingly grippy. But, traction was not even slightly improved when the engine was placed on the track. The only change in performance was because wheels were electrically insulated from the rails which caused the engine to run poorly. I figured I must be doing something wrong, so I wrote the company an email. I received a curt response which told me to read the instruction sheet. I looked over the instructions that came with the jar and there is no mention of thinning. I checked the Bullfrog Snot website where there is mention of thinning with water, so I guess I did it right. Since the company is apparently unwilling to try to help me figure it out, I am now prepared to confidently recommend against the tiny and ridiculously overpriced jar of failed promises. Karl Ask A Question: Karl Abbott One of our local train stores, Almosta Junction, gave me a jar because it had been returned by an unhappy customer. The customer complained he couldn't get it to go on evenly. I watched your videos and tried it. The jar I have is too thick. It's like almost dried paint. It does not go on smoothly like in the videos. Is there any way to thin this stuff? The directions say it can be cleaned up with water. I tried thinning a small sample with water. It seemed to go on similar to the videos. As I'm waiting for it to dry, it seems the water isn't working well. It has a tendency to bead up, kind of like water on waxed car. v/r, Karl Please remove me On Feb 20, 2016, at 3:42 PM, BULLFROG wrote: Please read the instruction sheet Sent: Saturday, February 20, 2016 1:33 PM Subject: Re: Ask a question at our store My question is can it be thinned? There is no point in doing anything except throw it away...unless it can be thinned. Any tips on what to use as an applicator on larger wheels like O and G? I tried a q-tip with the q-tip cut off. It seemed a bit small for O. Karl On Feb 20, 2016, at 10:16 AM, BULLFROG wrote: Scuff the wheel with some fine sandpaper.
