The set up is similar to an indoor flee market. They have many cute things and it could be dangerous for me to spend too much time looking through all the booths, since I may just buy everything I see. I bought an item from one of the booth owners through social media advertising, and we met at the store. She let me browse through everything to see what all the latest displays were. The Christmas theme was prominent throughout, but there were plenty of other vintage items. I'm partial to anything with dogs, and they have many many items, big and small, that I could fall in love with. I would recommend everyone to stop in, when they are in the area.

At the time I was in the process of moving to Portland and needed to down size some of my collections. I took a bunch of collectible items and was told I could pick up my check the following Monday. I showed up Monday and his father was manning the store. He looked for my check and couldn't find it or get a hold of Kerry on the phone. The gentleman took my number and said he would leave a message. I returned that Friday and again Kerry was no where to be found. Monday I returned Kerry told me he wasn't feeling well and was going home. He would look for my check and could I please come back for the unsold items. My check was not found. I returned 2 more times the last being Monday July 21st. Kerry's mother was there this time...she wrote the checks so she found the paperwork and paid me. I was told that my unsold items were not their responsibility after 3 days and they weren't sure if they still had them...(they had the audacity to tell me this after they were the ones who didn't have time for me on the day my check was promised.) AND, I was yet again told I had to come back tomorrow because they didn't have time to look for them. When I came back the next day only three of the 6 items not sold could be found. They compensated me nothing for the lost items. They are very unorganized and full of excuses I do not recommend anyone using this auction house.

I recently visited this Savers and found tons of great stuff. As a former flipper, I say good for Savers and the outreach they do in the community. I still found the prices to be a good deal overall. As with any thrifting adventure, it just takes a little extra effort to inspect each item carefully and discover a hidden gem. The thrill of finding a treasure remains, and it's still worth the hunt if you are going for personal use. I found top brands for reasonable prices (Patagonia long sleeved shirt with tags for $10.99, Ecko sweatshirt from Nordstrom Rack with tags for $8.99, etc.) I found a Lord of the Rings tee, Stephen King Pet Cemetery tee, Betsey Johnson long-sleeve, and several cool band concert shirts for less than $8 apiece. This location and the surrounding Savers within an hour radius are fantastic hunting grounds for the casual treasure hunter.

Raised prices are inevitable- gouging people who depend on thrift store prices is disgusting.

I'm an oldies/60's/classic rock kind of girl (always have been, never cared for modern music) so…read morequite obviously when we visited SLC we had to hit up some antique stores, because I'm a hippie at heart and love collecting old things. Capital City Antique Mall came up in my search (well there was another but they are closed on Tuesdays), and I was very pleased to find that they were in a large warehouse with plenty of vendors. That just means tons of cool stuff to scour through! And indeed there was plenty of artifacts and fun finds to take my time perusing! There were a few items that I wanted but couldn't purchase for the sake of space or other reasons, but they were absolutely beautiful. The photos I've shared below are only scratching the surface of the gamut of items that you can find at the antique mall. I ended up purchasing some small items to add to my shelf of collectibles at home, including my very first glass insulator. The staff are nice and everything is quite reasonably priced compared to CA antique stores. We will definitely be revisiting Capital City Antique Mall the next time we are in SLC!
