Just my opinion, it's a lower tier Ross type of store. Same concept with the racks of clothes. You scan through each racks looking for the good. Not much of a designer store as it seems like a lower ends line. Then you have the handbag and shoes department which was right by each other. Your usual bags and shoes but at least it was neat. I didn't really get a chance to walk through the whole place as it wasn't calling my name. It's a pretty decent size store. I would say that customers service was amazing. Right when you walked in, the welcome in greetings was from everyone. The cashier as well as the staff restocking the shelves. That part was great. I did pick up some flip flops as it was quite cheap. Don't know what the quality will be like but for the price, it's whatever. I believe it's quite affordable. Literally same concept as Ross but on the lower tier.

I've been to a lot of TJ Maxx stores but this one is the CLEANEST, MOST ORGANIZED store I have shopped at. I now make this location a MUST every time I'm in Palm Springs on vacation and I ALWAYS find something fabulous. This visit I purchased a gorgeous pair of Franco Sarto Tinsley Woven Mary Jane's ($39.99 here and $120.00 right now at a big box store) and a jumbo size bottle of St. Tropez Self Tanner ($19.99 here and $49.00 at other beauty store)......I will be back very soon!

They're lined with sour and have a little faux fur cuff for comfort. Next, I headed over to the night count section Beth found mostly short sleeve tops with pants. I dug on and came up with a new set of lightweight pants with an over shirt designed by the gap and a beautiful, pale sage green color, which looked very restful. I thumbed through the offerings and also found a comfy cozy sweater jacket made of a soft fleece for those times when the heater just isn't enough. I headed for checkout, and on the way, found sunscreen, perfect for enjoying the rest of my stay in Palm Springs. Good value is always to be found here as well as some of the fresh looks in the market.

Awonderbox is a liquidator/resale charity thrift store that is very small, but beautiful. You know…read morewhen you find a little business working hard to serve the community, but nowhere near the size and reach of an American Cancer Society Discovery Shop or, more locally to this desert region, Revivals? Well that's what I found today when I walk into Awonderbox. The mission is to service women, children, Veterans and homeless through discounted resale goods. Betty was holding down the shop when Hubs and I walked into Awonderbox and she is an absolute DELIGHT! There is a good supply of familiar BB&B items, but the ticketed price seemed average. Betty explained that the linens are all 50% off the ticketed price and everything else is UP TO 50% off the ticketed price. Ok, NOW we're talking. A great example was a Bee&Willow TWIN sheet set for $14! An Everhome Egyptian Cotton 700 thread count flat King/CalKing sheet is $50. There are some clothes, with tags on, nothing second hand, but it seems the key items came from a 2024 liquidation of BB&B inventory. If you are a crafty Cricket person, Awonderbox did seem to have A LOT of fancy Cricket paper rolls and items to use with Cricket. Also some kitchen items and some pretty jewelry. We selected a much need LARGE black sunscreen for our SUV and also some fitted sheet corner fasteners. I recently bought a 2pc set of these from Amazon and paid $8, this set was 25% off the ticketed price of $10, so $7.50, buuuuut there were 4pcs in this set. SCORE! While it's helpful to know all the linens are 50% off the ticketed price, it would be even MORE HELPFUL to know what the discount is on other items. Our window sunscreen was 25% off, which made it juuust a bit over $14. That's fine, but hardly a liquidation price. And poor Betty couldn't tell us what the discounted price was going to be on our iuntil she entered it into the desktop computer and THAT point of sale was set up to ask if we would be paying with cash or card before she could proceed. Looking over the counter at the monitor, it seemed as if it was set up for color coded stickers determining the discount. That would be a really simple strategy, and maybe the bugs are getting workout for that plan. I would definitely stop in regularly to see what comes into Awonderbox, but more so to visit with Betty. Cheers! "CC"

I have driven by PS HomeBoys in downtown Palm Springs so many times over the years and always meant…read moreto go inside, but somehow I never seemed to have the time. Now that I finally do, it feels like I am getting a second chance to see the places I missed when I used to live here. PS HomeBoys had always been on my radar and the moment I walked in I understood why. I absolutely love the vibe of this place. The showroom feels like the perfect expression of the Palm Springs design spirit. It is bright, colorful, creative, and unapologetically mid-century modern while still feeling fresh and current. The shop was founded by interior designer Jeremy Taylor together with his partner Niels Kosman, and you can really feel that designer's eye throughout the space. Every piece feels intentional, from the furniture and lighting to the artwork and wallpaper. Nothing feels random or mass-produced. It feels curated. Palm Springs has such a strong design identity and PS HomeBoys captures it perfectly. Walking through the store feels like stepping into the kind of home you see in the iconic desert architecture that made this city famous. It is easy to imagine how these pieces would work in a stylish desert home or even a vacation rental, which makes sense because they also help stage and design homes around the area. For anyone who appreciates great interior design, mid-century style, or just wants to browse something different from the usual furniture stores, this place is absolutely worth visiting. I am honestly glad I finally made the time to go inside after all these years. Sometimes you pass by a place for years without stopping, and then when you finally do you realize you should have gone in a long time ago. This is definitely one of those spots.

I've been in here a few times and normally I have no expectations of finding anything. But the last few times, I have walked out with some fun things. A pair of shorts that still had the tags on. I don't think it's been worn or it could have been used for a styling shot. And this visit, I actually found some pieces that I already had a collection of so it was amazing to add to it. Never did I think I would find something like that. Also, a pair of lamps that looked amazing and falls with the mid century theme. Prices are great on some items while others, you think they're ridiculous. I also found out that weekday deals happen. This week anything with a blue tag was half off and that was for all departments. Another thing that was great to know, any of the electrical items has a week grace period incase you need to return it. That's something nice to know. Today score, a pair of mid century lamps for 29.99 for the pair. There's a few locations scattered throughout the valley which is nice. Also this location has a donation center where you could just drive up and drop things off. I've dropped off loads of things prior. If you like treasure hunting, this could be fun for you.
