This is the most filthy unkempt Dollar Tree it is so bad in there I mean really really bad I was going to call their headquarters how can a clean City like Cary have such a trashy looking store zero stars is what it need but Yelp makes us give one star on anything.I bought some Hostess Cupcakes bit in one in the car it tasted funny I looked at the expiration date the damn cupcake was 3 months over the expiration date I brought it back in to get a refund and told them they need to do better with food dates that pissed me off hire a night crew to stock and keep tge shelves better do better or close this dump down for good read more

This is a huge dollar tree with a great selection of items. Because of it's size, I was able to find a lot of items that I haven't seen in other stores. Only in Cary would you find a Tesla and a BMW Crossover in the parking lot! read more

I then told them I'm not paying more than 98 cents for anything in here. Well, they certainly gave me their two cents. This location is a bit newer than the other ones in the area. I had bought some books from here a few weeks ago that I was planning to give to some friends, but ended up not needing them. On the receipt it said that Dollar Tree is "happy to exchange unopened items." When I went to the store to get my exchanges, the woman working the register was extremely rude to me and told me that I wasn't able to exchange books there. The books were untouched and in perfect condition, and there was nothing on the receipt saying that books weren't exchangeable. On top of this, she was incredibly annoyed and short with me, and acted like I was a nuisance to talk to. Safe to say I won't be coming back read more

This store is pretty much always in disarray with messy shelves and aisles. It's a shame because it is located in a desirable area @High House & Hwy 55. In addition a rude employee chose to involve herself in a conversation I was having with a fellow shopper that I was offering suggestions to. Ultimately I told her to mind her own business because her comments to me were sarcastic. I person like this shouldn't be hired to work with the public. The cashier, Kenny, however was very friendly and welcoming. Kudos to him! I hope the management can work to clean up the store and hire friendly helpful employees. read more

This Dollar tree used to be one of the better ones around our area (Morrisville, Cary, Apex,Holly Springs, FV,Williow Springs..) but unfortunately the service and lack of new goods makes this Dollar tree now one of the worst ones. The store hours are stating on Google and on the door of the store/ open until 10pm. On Monday we drive almost an hour to this store to buy goodies for a birthday party. Arrived just after 5pm and found a note on the door that due to weather conditions and the roads they had to close 5pm. Now there was absolutely no ice/ snow on the roads from where we live to this store. No weather warnings or road cautions at all for Monday. So Wednesday we made the journey again ( too late for party goodies but this time for other essentials. Arrived just after 5pm ( after checking on Google maps that the store is still saying it closes at 10pm) there were more staff than usual. We counted at least 6 staff members. All staff just joking around. Only one staff member was seen working for the whole hour we were in the store- the Friendly Chinese lady who always wiork very hard) Prices now up by 25c and shelves empty with staff joking around. Announcing every 5 minutes that the store will close at 6pm. Why? I asked.. 'staff shortage' one of the staff members said, giggling. This is outragious!! Such bad customer service!! Why can you not also get a self checkout point with 4-6 areas? Get staff that want to work. We have never seen so many staff in a Dollar tree, prices up, lower stock and such bad service!! Much like someone else stated. Arrived at 6:05pm on a Thursday and was met by an employee at the door, who you couldn't tell was an employee, no identifiable uniform/clothing. Standing at the door yelling to everyone in the parking lot that they are closed. I understand that there are staffing issues and no one wants to work. But people want to come and conduct business, with the expectation that the business will be open ... and as a consumer it's frustrating to be turned away in such a rude manner. At around 4:25pm on February 24 my wife and I were attempting to check out with some small snack items after a tough work day. We were standing next in line behind another customer who was being helped with some balloons, which were taking awhile, so a line backed up behind us. Another female cashier opened up her line and called the two customers behind us into hers, which was strange but could have been understandable since we had our items on the belt already. When the balloons were still taking a lot of time we shifted to the new cashier's line. As she finished up with the customer in front of us, she started yelling towards us, saying that she didn't call us over previously due to me playing on my phone while I waited (I was texting on my phone but clearly not causing any disruptions or rudeness, as the balloons were still in process throughout this whole ordeal). At this point, I was feeling pretty disrespected but I had an important text message to respond to from a coworker so I started responding, since we were not being serviced yet. A couple moments later, the cashier calls for the customer behind us to cut ahead, letting everyone know that she will not be checking us out and was refusing to serve us. For emphasis, we were not using our devices while being serviced and were quiet and respectful the whole time. Disrespected and confused more than anything, we left without buying our items since it appeared she would never check us out and we will not be returning. Hopefully it was just a bad day and she has better days ahead :) read more

I'm a little shock that no one has yet reviewed this Dollar Tree store. I'm watch you call a "regular" at the Dollar Tree, I visit once, twice, sometimes three times a week when I have a lot of events I'm planning. This particular store just happens to be one of the largest in the area and one of the most organized. You see I feel like I'm a good judge when it comes to Dollar Tree's I've visited so many in the area and could tell you what you will find at each one. Though they all carry similar items some carry more of certain things. I would say this store rocks when it comes to party supplies. Need tablecloths, matching napkins, forks, bags, cups etc. then stop here first they are cheap and they always have a lot in stock. When I say this is one of the biggest in the area I'm not lying. Have you been to the older stores where you can barely make it through the isles? Well not here you have plenty of room to stretch out and it's new and so clean clean. If you are looking for holiday decor make Dollar Tree your first stop, I sorta feel like I need to write a book on how to shop at discount store because I rock at it! Even if this store is a little out of the way you won't regret driving the extra miles for a really nice Dollar Tree! read more

Just arrived at Dollar tree on Route 55, 17:55pm. After driving 40 minutes to get here. Checked on Google Maps- says it closes at 10pm. Called tge store but no one answered. So drove there to buy a few essentials. As we got out of the car, the manager - white female, long dark hair, shouted " we are closed" I told her we just drove a long way to get here, she then shouted back "we are short of staff".. I told her they should at least put the correct times of opening on Google maps as it is discusting we drove so far just to be waved away ( I mean after all the income they get from customers is the money they use to pay salaries) As we got back into the car, she shouted back to me " You are discusting!" Seriously Dollar Tree HQ, you need to look carefully at the people you employ. You increase your prices, close your store 4-5 hours early ( I arrived at the store just last week when there was a note up that they decided to close at 5pm without notice to Google maps) and the treat customers worse than animals. It is because of your customers that you get paid a salary.. such bad customer service !! read more

Very RACIST location with heavy MAGA vibes. Today Aaron the manager on duty while my girlfriend was standing in line decided that she could wait and asked a man to cut the line. I try not to make everything about race but after my girlfriend said something to him about it he decided she was not worthy of a response. After I was told this, I went to the location and asked for an apology. Aaron said no, which is well within his rights but when asking to speak to a manager Aaron then told me to get out or he would call the police. No threats had been made to Aaron. My girlfriend then decided to go a different avenue and call the store to see if she could speak to a General Manager and Aaron told her he already told his management and to f*ck off then hung up the phone. He said something about management being his mother but I couldn't make it out before he hung up. I will be filing an official complaint with corporate because management co-signs this type of behavior. Really nastyyyyyyyy stuff. If you're a African American or minority I would suggest you shop at another location. read more
