Dollar Tree, Broomall -- Plastic Patry Serving Pieces (faux pressed glass)
L L.

This location has gone WAY downhill. It is so picked over, they rarely have any one thing on a long list of what I need. Staff is grumpy and rude. When I ask for help, they look at me like it's absurd I dare ask, and routinely say, "if you can't find it, we don't have it," which is so unprofessional and lazy. This or Malvern are my closest stores, but they both are at the bottom of my list for DTs. I drive twice or 3x as far to pretty much ANY other DT locations these days. In a pinch, tried to hit this one the other day but they're temporarily closed for ongoing renovations. I called first and no answer (which unfortunately isn't unusual). But no message to notify of closure on their voicemail so I had zero clue they were just plain shut down. Also NOTHING on the website for this location's closure either. Broomall you used to rock, now you blow.

Lack of sink and suspect hand sanitizer

Good location, they have a nice selection and they seem to be somewhat organized. They also have a lot of named brand things

Huge store! Lots of items I haven't seen at any other dollar tree. Definitely best in the area.

Visited: Monday - January 6, 2014 - 11:00 AM…read more Are you looking for "stuff"? Inexpensive stuff? Not necessarily poorly made stuff. You know...stuff? Well, perhaps this is the store. The store is packed with furniture, dry foods, kitchen and bathroom accessories, towels, linens, and wall art. I've purchased kitchen towels, bedroom sheets at reasonable costs. Believe it or not, my favorite purchases are coffee. Yes, coffee. The employees were busily taking inventory and replacing holiday products with traditional fare. Although they were consumed with their tasks, they cheerily provided room for me to peruse the coffee assortments. I chose a German ground coffee called Dallmayr Prodomo. I never heard of this brand but for $9.99 at 17.6 oz (500 mg), I was willing to try it. Several web users rate this brand 5 of 5 stars. I also chose ground Pumpkin Latte by the Grande Kaffe Collection of stateside Millville NJ. I've enjoyed this brew several times and at $5.00 for 16 oz, it's hard to ignore. Lastly, I purchased a 4 pack of kitchen towels for $5.99. Now that I bought some new stuff, fortunately I have a house for my new stuff. As the comedy legend George Carlin stated, and I'm paraphrasing, "you need a place for your stuff and that's why houses were created".

Fully staffed but not one helping anyone or even making eye contact. Someone had to come up to desk…read moreand ask to have a spill in entrance area cleaned up. Oddly cold attitudes all around. Not just me! Really poor attitude including workers who tried to figure out an unmarked sheet set. Finally did so and then left me standing at counter. Will return sheet sets and deal with Amazon.

As with so many other smart used bookstores, they have a "bargain" cart up front with $2.50 for…read moreone, 3 for $6. I easily found 3 I wanted within a few minutes, then went back looking in the Middle East section for some titles that might help a subject I'm studying at the moment. The place is laid out very neatly, but the titles are arranged in the careless way that you want and love in a used bookstore, allowing you to dig for treasures on your own, albeit within neatly defined genres. Friendly staff, and they will buy from you by appointment and offer you double the store credit they would offer in cash. May have to stop by again soon. :-)

I somehow managed to not notice this store right next to Krispy Kreme until I'd walked past it…read moreprobably half a dozen times. Guess I was focused on getting to donuts, but I'm glad I finally noticed it and now I stop in whenever I'm in the area. It's a smallish space, but well organized with a wide selection of genres. It's primarily books, but they also have DVDs and a small CD section. There are a few stepstools scattered around to help you reach the items on the higher shelves which I appreciate as a not super tall person. I find the CD section difficult to shop though, as it's on lower shelves and even with my glasses on it's tricky to read the small type on the cases near the floor. The employees are friendly and polite and always happy to help if you're looking for a specific title. I've only ever purchased here, but they also take items for trade-in, although you need to make an appointment for that. The prices are generally in line with other used bookstores in the area. Definitely sign up for their e-mail list, as they frequently send out discount codes. Unlike some used bookstores I frequent, I don't always leave here with a find, but I often come across a book on my TBR list at a good price.
