So the days of scanning once, loading the cart, and leaving are over. Now, there are specialty carts that you scan yourself. It's just ok. Lots of "did you add", or "product wedged". Non-upc products like produce or salad bar are more inconvenient. I'll go sparingly now without the walk out features. Especially when they are already brand limited. read more

This grocery concept is interesting. This particular store doesn't have the individual digital carts, but your food is scanned in by cameras all around the store if you have your app set up correctly. Then you can just scan to leave the store. The itemized receipt seems to take a day to show up in my email. So not so keen on that part I needed help setting it up as it is not the most user friendly. Plus it seems you need a prime account for app setup but I am not clear on that. A relative supposedly gave me prime access, and I can't watch prime videos but I can shop w prime and now with Amazon Fresh and even Whole Foods properly apparently. Some things seem higher priced and a couple of deals but hard to find. This convenience is nice if you are already set up. This location is setup near an SAP headquarters - so this could be a plus enough but hard for me to say. Staff is friendly and super helpful and the janitor does a great job keeping the store clean. The big sushi pack I had used all imitation crab and I would've preferred they not use that at all and charge less. I didn't turn the sushi package upside down to read the ingredients because it would've messed up the food presentation. Worst online delivery yet! My beef was expired. My greens had visible mold through the plastic and were also expired. I was given pickles instead of sauerkraut and half my sardines were in soy bean oil instead of water. The store would do well to hire people that actually care. This is a crowded area. I'm done with Amazon Fresh. I have plenty of other options and this was a waste of time, not a time saver. read more

It's interesting to just enter a store with your Amazon card or the credit card you use when you've shopped on Amazon. Then you enter the store and shop. Ambiance is futuristic. There are hundreds if not a thousand cameras that log what you take and put in you basket. So it's basically a regular grocery store. All the same stuff. On a happy note... Great selection of beyond /impossible meat. (Plant based) Then when you leave you use your credit card again at the turnstile. You'll be sent an email receipt of your purchases. It was fine. If I were at PetSmart in the same shopping center, I'd go back. I tried the conventional shopping experience - doing so with a prime account or credit card linked to an Amazon account would be faster. Prices were comparable to Acme for some items and Whole Foods for others. I wound up trying some sushi and their salad bar. Sushi was ok, though I prefer a real sushi place or Acme (Havertown) to this. Lots of tasty mixed salads (chimichurri, spicy curry, seafood pasta, etc). They also had a hot bar and pizza by the slice. Baked goods had a small selection. Prepared foods had some interesting choices but were pricey, around $9. Staff were very friendly and asked if I had any questions. Checkout with a cashier was pretty quick. read more

We are suppose to be charged for items we take.... Emailed a receipt which has details and how long we were in the store. Impressed. It worked like a charm. A mix of Whole Foods and Acme (products), with more of a Wegmans aesthetic inside. They very recently opened, so it's been a madhouse, but arriving at 9pm-ish on a Saturday (an hour before close) proved to be completely uncrowded. Got a great coupon mailer $10 off $20 to try them, so that definitely increases the deals, but for what we buy, prices were same as WF, and for the Acme-ish brands (i.e. mainstream brands, and local faves like Turkey Hill), again prices were competitive. They have a hot bar, which will be handy for quick dinners, and lunch for those working in the area. So this is the creepy part... there are cameras everywhere watching you. So you can "just walk out" as the sign says, and be billed to your Amazon account later. OR, you can checkout the traditional way. Traditional for me, thanks. There were a lot of complaints from neighbors that the coupons weren't being applied when they "just walked out" and I'd think how would they? Anyway, I'll stick to the regular in-person tally of my items set physically in front of the register instead of the Big Brother method. I am not looking to have conversations with clueless 16 year old stock kids in a grocery store, so the shopping experience was fine with me. The staff I did meet was quite helpful in explaining the process of using my Amazon Prime app on my cell to get in and out without lines. The technology? Bring on Big Brother. No check out lines to navigate. No lines and no wait. Just do my thing and no bother. I like the idea of packing my own groceries in the bags they provide as I shop. Things don't get crushed or bags overstuffed as they often do at other stores. No more getting to the parking lot and having my milk or meat land on the ground due to a shredded bag or torn hand grip. Prices? Very competitive. We found some frequent purchases at a discount to other stores. You need fresh bakery items? Fresh produce? Meat? Wine and beer? A quick hot lunch? They have it for you. In short, "resistance is futile"! You will buy and you will be pleased. read more

Easy, so easy. Have some good deals so I'm now a fan of there circular. But if you shop with a friend, make sure you don't grab an item for your friend cause it'll go on your tab even if you put it in your friends cart. Keep that in mind if someone asks you to grab something up high that they can't reach. Other than that, it's so quick and easy. This place has nothing but national brands and their store brands. It is a very cold uninviting atmosphere. Kind of an upscale aldi or grocery outlet. Very disappointing and a waste of time. You have 4 giants and an acme nearby so there is no reason to go here. read more

This store opened about a month ago. After years of touting it as the inexpensive, easy option for food shopping, I've yet to see that. I have visited this store 4 times since opening, including their grand opening. They had give aways for the first few days, packaged goodies that were days away from their 'sell by' date. Employees were helpful but weren't able to give any answers to questions regarding multiple procedures, i.e., trying to print a receipt, trying to find specific items. I chalked that up to the newness of the store. However, on this my 4th visit, no one could help me find quiche, which I would think is easy enough but apparently not. And the store smells like garbage for the last 2 visits. As for the inexpensive option, aside from the .89 baguette, it's as expensive if not more than our local choices. I'm willing to try again, maybe they just need to get their feet under them. But so far not so good read more

Loved it. The entrance/checkout situation is a very different than I'm used to, but easy. Staff were very helpful. What I loved were the aisles. I am neurodivergent, and a normal grocery is garish lighting, narrow aisles, colorful displays competing for my attention, seemingly random widths of different products displayed. It's hard to find what I want. Amazon Fresh's aisles are wide, lighting is soothing. There are no ads or standees visually shouting at me. Items are well organized in rows. Selection is great. Good brands, lots of options. I choose what I want and I roll on out of there. read more

The experience in itself was fine. However, while in the store and 1.5 hours after leaving the store, I NO cell phone service . This is a huge problem. It was worse than airplane mode. It's okay. Prices are kinda high. Produce is not very fresh and I would not buy the chicken, fish or beef. Was less fresh than other stores. Salad bar and fresh food is charged by the size container so you need to really fill it up to get your moneys worth. Food does not look as good as other stores in this area also. Okay for shelf stable food or quick trips for something you need quick. The sensors watching kinda freaks me out honestly and not getting a receipt for several hours is a pain. I love your product Amazon Fresh. Greatly priced and tailored for us. I am from the community in town and I love going for new stores/restaurant. I tried many items and I found them to be rightly priced and above all high quality. Products were in a canvas container and shopping cart. After shopping, I scanned the QR code and left. My app received a receipt 40 minutes later. It matched. I thoroughly examined it, and everything matched. Also so straightforward. I now enjoy their circular due to the discounts. If you are shopping with a companion, do not grab an item for them, as it will be charged to your account if it is placed in their cart. Remember this if you are asked to grasp something from a height. It is quick and easy otherwise. Visitable for its heated pizza by the slice and authentic salad bar, which I have missed since 2022. I really like Amazon Fresh. Their prices are not high. The produce is not expensive, but you should cook it fairly soon. They have a lot of variety and also some basic staples. My kids like their pizza, I like the veggie rolls but they could have more pickins, and soup, in the food bar. I think their system is very quick and convenient to walk out. We tried it the other day. Mid-afternoon. Were greeted at the door by an employees who spent 15 minutes working to explain to us just how shopping in the store works. You have the option of either having big brother watch and record everything you put in hands then recording it so there is no real checkout like you would at most any other food store. It was explained that the many many many overhead cameras/sensors detect when you take something from a shelf/bin and just hold it (like maybe to read a label or inspect a piece of fruit) then add it to your bill. If the item is not placed back in the exact location from where you got it from then bang, your charged. We went in with a $20 off $40 coupon but there is no easy way to know if you got to that $40 minimum. 4 hours after we left we finally got an email from Amazon with our receipt. The receipt did not clearly indicate that we had met the $40 minimum threshold. Each item purchased showed a small reduction in price (what the original price of each of those items we couldn't be sure. We think we got the $20 off. When I added up all of likely price reductions (indicated in red) I came up with $20.87. Oh yeah, you have to remember what you actually left the store with because we found that we were charged something we never bought, touched or even saw which required us to go through a refund process via our Amazon Prime account. Bottom line: way to much effort, work and stress to food shop this way. If you go: do not use the electronic/digital version instead go the "traditional" route. On a positive note: We legitimately got a frozen 14 pound Butterball turkey for $4.17. Yipee read more
