Dollar stores like this one are well stocked with inexpensive, travel-sized items. You'll find these items in the area closer to the front of the store, to the near the registers. This location also has a good inventory of snacks and pantry items. You'll see this as soon as you enter the store. Cold cases line the wall to the right and there are about three long aisles of food stuff (it's 6 aisles really, 3 closer to the front and 3 towards the back). The generic house brand at Dollar General is Clover Valley; it's pretty decent! I also like seasonal items and some of the craft supplies sold here. All pros - Good inventory; well organized and clean store; easy to get to from Route 21; bathroom inside; lots of parking. I'll most likely be back.

With all the suspect donation trucks out there that supposedly goes to 'help' Veterans when a little digging shows poor stewardship of their donations and money, Hana is a great alternative. The thrift store is run to support their work in Paterson and other low-income areas, and to programs for substance abuse or at-risk children, a fact that some of their employees are rather proud of for good reason. I would rather my donations go to support local communities than the pockets for people who create 'non-profits' for their own gains.
