I had a feeling this would not be the type of shopping I'd enjoy. If you are a person who doesn't…read moremind mystery boxes or missing pieces in an item, then you may love it here. Since this is my review, I will have to tell you the reason why I don't love it here. To begin with, there are wooden troughs throughout the store that looks like someone overturned a dumptruck and threw in a bunch of stuff and by stuff, I mean junk into them without care or reason. The store was dusty from the cardboard debris, and the air felt dirty too. There was no real order to find anything worthwhile because it was all just thrown into the bins. This is not my style. There were people hoovered over the sides of bins peering down and picking through things like little hens pecking through the tiniest morsels of scraps looking for food. I tried to look through some of the items but there was an abundance of empty boxes or boxes that felt too light to contain the pictured items located on the box itself. One bonus was that there was an overflow of Biofreeze if you're in pain. I saw a lot of cushions or maybe sheet sets, and other randomness that I could not easily name because there was not anything that stood out as something of value---just junk! While I do not mind thrifting and basement sales this was beyond ridiculous. I will pass on the next opportunity to run in here because of Instagram. It is totally the opposite of what you are led to believe online. It seemed as if there were people there who wanted to resell items because they were experts with checking their apps and scanning items themselves. While it may be cheap as far as cost goes, I have to ask myself was it worth the trip and for me it was a big NO.

There ain't no shame in that Big Lots shopping game!…read more This Big Lots sits in the King Springs Shopping Center directly on South Cobb Drive near the Ford Dealerships. Given its location in the shopping center, parking is never an issue. The condition of their stores, including this location could definitely be better. I do not think they have invested any capital in this store in years. From the floors to the ceilings and all the way to the registers and carts...it's all in need of a good refresh/update! If you can get past the appearance you can really find some good deals at Big Lots. They have a decent grocery section that I use for snacks mostly. They also have a great kitchen/housewares section where I have scooped up several sets of silverware and cups from over the years. During the holidays I also swing in here as they always have a solid holiday section with a lot of items from small to large! In addition to everything above, they surprisingly have a good furniture section. I am not too ashamed to admit that in my younger days I got a couch and a bed from Big Lots. The couch has since moved on, but the bed still sits in our guestroom right now! Overall, I have been coming to Big Lots for random and particular things throughout the years...and I don't see that changing anytime soon!

Wow. Y'all!!…read more I had no idea of the wonderfulness that is Big Lots. My friend took me here today and it was like seeing Jesus or IKEA for the first time! They absolutely have EVERYTHING. From small bags of chips to flip flops to soup and canned goods to DVDs . . . to . . . yeah, everything. And on the cheap!! Join the Big Lots bonus program and get the extra discount. And the weekly circular that advertises specials. Seriously, just do it!
