I have worked multiple times with Al and his team on big and small, young and very old plumbing projects. Every time I have worked with him, he's been helpful, quick, and resourceful! The quality of his work is worth every penny spent read more

We had a great experience with Al. After doing laundry, we noticed the water level in our toilet started rising, so we thought it might be a clog in the sewer line. We opened the sewage cap, saw backflow water, and after trying to snake it ourselves, found out there were tree roots in our sewage pipe. Al arrived in the early morning and explained everything in a way that was easy to understand. He showed us the camera footage so we could actually see where the problem was, and explained what a spot repair would involve versus replacing the whole sewer line which was unnecessary in our situation. He worked efficiently, cleaned everything up before he left, and was friendly throughout the whole process. Thank you Al! read more

Everything from the start of the job until he finished Al was there for us. We got home to find our water heater exploded . Al was efficient, courteous and knowledgeable. It was a Sunday evening and we needed water . The job completed that night. Thanks Al! read more

I needed to find a plumber who could repair or replace a toilet in a small office building. It was just before the Thanksgiving holiday and it was urgent. Dollar Plumbing were great. They responded right away. They were able to get someone out to troubleshoot quickly. The existing toilet was replaced with a more appropriate commercial model that very same day. I really appreciate that they were easy to communicate with and professional. I will definitely use them in the future and recommend them to others. read more

This review has been a long time coming (sorry I'm a few months late!). Al is a fantastic plumber. He came to my house for a quote within an hour of me calling and was able to diagnose the leak problem quickly. It was an urgent situation for us and even though he was busy, he was able to fit me in and get the mainline leak fixed the next day. His crew worked quickly and efficiently and Al got the permitting done for it quickly as well. Would highly recommend Al to anyone! read more

Al did a great job! Always answers phone calls and on time. I would recommend Al on all your plumbing needs!

We needed a plumber quickly for a clogged toilet and found Dollar with a little help from Siri and Google. Boy am I glad we did! Al came out to our home in Livermore within 2 hours of our call and took care of things promptly and professionally. He was very courteous and asked some additional questions to be sure other items in our home were in proper working order. Turns out we needed to flush our water heater too. It did not feel like a "sales job" but rather someone committed to his profession who wanted to serve us well. We will not hesitate to call Al again - highly recommend! read more

We have had dollar plumbing come to our house for several things during the past years. Unfortunately, this time we really needed their help. Our 60 year old sewage line to the street was so plugged up it needed to be replaced. Al and his crew came out, and were very diligent. First they attempted to snake the line for us, but it was useless. The roots had made a impassable plug. They replaced the line with a trenchless process. The new line they put in cannot be penetrated by roots. They fulfilled all promises with regards to timing and getting everything cleaned up. With all the work they had to do digging 2, 6 foot deep holes, and then filling them in along with everything else. We certainly got our moneys worth. Hopefully, we won't have any plumbing needs in the future, but if we do, we will not hesitate to call Dollar Plumbing. read more

Had a major drain clog, toilets, backup into the tub we called Dollar Plumbing and Al came out 30 minutes after the call arrived at 7:00pm fixed the clog and also a low pressure faucet. He also pointed out some other issues but did not force the sale, we will be calling back to have that addressed. Fair pricing and a family owned business in Livermore. We highly recommend Dollar plumbing . read more

My boyfriend and I noticed a leak coming from the piping when starting the washing machine in the garage. I called Dollar Plumbing Friday afternoon and was advised that a technician would be available to come out the very next day on Saturday between 9-11am. Al showed up promptly at 9:30am and was able to diagnose the issue, (a crack in the pipe behind the drywall) cut away the drywall, crawl under the raised foundation of the house and complete the repair by 1pm, all in the same day without having to wait for a future appointment. Al was very knowledgable and more than helpful. I highly recommend this plumbing company for any issues and will continue to use this business for any future plumbing issues that arise in my older home! Thanks Al!!! read more

I will start with the positive..... They came the same day at the time they said they would. Did they try to fix the clogg through the toilet or even try to detect what was going on? NO!!! They went straight for we need to charge you $4,800.00 to give you a clean out, that we HAVENT EVEN LOOKED FOR! We thanked them for coming out and said NO THANK YOU! It was fixed by the next plumber using a snake through the toilet for $200.00. read more

Great service. Very thorough and fair pricing. Dollar will get all my plumbing business going forward. Al is the best!

Highly recommend Dollar Plumbing! Great local, family-owned small business. They charge a fair and reasonable price - I would even describe it a bargain for the value and speed. In my case, they replaced a broken cartridge in my shower handle that I was nervous to fix/replace myself because the pipes were so old. They accurately estimated the time window in which they would arrive (in fact, they arrived right in the middle of their two-hour time window). I also appreciate that when they arrive, they inspect the issue and give you a quote before beginning work. They also explain the issue and demonstrate how they fix it, so you know they've completed the work. They work quickly and keep you informed of their progress. They are also very respectful and careful of your home, and are extremely friendly, trustworthy people. Highly recommend them! read more

Kitchen sink was backed up and none of the "normal" remedies were working. I followed advice of my fellow Yelpers and called Dollar Plumbing. I left a message and had a return call within 30 minutes (on a Saturday!) and an offer to come out within the hour. I had to run an errand so asked about afternoon and was given a window from 2-3 pm. Al drove up a few minutes early and then came to the door promptly at 2 pm. He assessed the situation, gave me an estimate which I agreed to, and then took care of the clog with his roto machine in an hour's time. My garbage disposal also needs replacement but will wait for another day for that. I decide to hire someone I will definitely call Dollar Plumbing again. 5+ star service for: Quick response Cleaned up after service Resolved my issue Very friendly! read more

I had an issue with the washing machine discharge pipe at our rental home. I called a plumber and although they had great Yelp ratings, the service was very opposite of the ratings and the fee was on the high side. Ultimately the work was useless because the problem was still present. Once again I searched for another plumber and I received assistance from Dollar Plumbing. I was able to get an appointment within a few days as opposed to weeks. The pricing was fair and upfront so I wasn't shocked when presented with my bill. They did a great job and the line was cleared. I need to update my water heater and I will be scheduling with Dollar Plumbing to perform the work. In fact, moving forward, they will be the only pluming company that I do business with. Thank you Dollar Plumbing. read more

Dollar Plumbing is honest, trusted, quick response, and professional. This is our 2nd time working with Al and he fixed our leaking shower head. After the second time I called them in for some help I wanted to give them a shout out on Yelp. Al and his assistant are not only good people, they are Local, (Livermore), knowledgeable, affordable and willing to go the extra mile. They re-arranged time for my job around their already busy day. When I have another plumbing need, I will call Dollar Plumbing. You should too. read more

They are awesome. Got out here quickly and unclogged our shower. We have used them before. We have old damn pipes. Highly recommend.

Dollar has done work for me before and it has been a life-saver, but this time they kind of missed the mark. The rep who came was very nice and courteous. He evaluated the leak I had dug up prior to his arrival. It was cast iron and while we could see one end, we could not see the other. We could not find a shut-off as well. His evaluation was that the pipe could go on for quite a while and that he would pass on the job. The next guy that showed up dug for about a foot and found the other connection, cut and capped the pipe and our water was back on! Dollar can be good - but this time they came up just short. read more
