I had problems with my kitchen faucet and bathtub faucet leaking and when I asked for recommendations, Samuel was highly commended by local residents through YELP and Nextdoor. So when I consulted with him, he exactly knew what the problem was, gave me a decent quote and even gave me a tip on how to claim my lifetime warranty on parts through MOEN. I did what he told me to do talking to MOEN rep and I got my brand new faucet for free! He installed the new faucet and fixed the leaks and he made sure everything was tested properly. He cleaned up well, showed up on time and answered all questions very professionally. He has a friendly and positive outlook and always smiling. We even shared a few laughs when talking about home improvement projects. He grew up locally in Pleasanton, I reckon, so it's nice to support local business owners. Look no further when you have plumbing issues. This guy is legit and very trustworthy! read more

I had a clogged pipe underneath the kitchen sink. Sam fixed the problem in 30min. He is both professional and humorous. He gave suggestions on how to avoid the problem - use the garbage disposal less. He cleaned up the scene well after the work is done. I initially chose Sam for the best price, but the quality of service was above expectation. read more

our Filtered water at the office was not working as well as it was before. I was shopping around for quotes, and I came across this business. as soon as i was explaining to him he knew what the issue was. He gave us information on what we needed to be done. We have ordered the part and now I have schedule him to install it for us. He could of easily choose to charge us for a consult first, materials and then for labor once the product arrived. But he didn't. This is the kind of company and people that will make a difference, without even asking for anything in return. read more

Sam was referred to us by the agent and he was incredible! Not only is he very professional at what he does in all plumbing issues, he's patient and charge reasonable price for the visit. 5 start review! read more

Unreliable. Scheduled with Sam for some work, the day before he cancelled due to feeling under the weather. (Understandable) We agreed to reschedule a couple days later. Sam didn't show up for the rescheduled appointment, i texted him and he said he's still feeling sick. (He could have updated that he wasn't coming) We rescheduled for the next week. Again the appointment passes and I text him. Sam claims an emergency came up and asked to reschedule. (Fair) Also claimed he lost my contact info and was waiting for me to call/text. (Not sure how that's possible unless he got a new phone since we've been texting for multiple weeks). Sam agreed to meet the next day... Guess what. No show again. No response to text. No response to phone calls. Gave him the benefit of the doubt multiple times as he's local, great reviews, and a neighbor used him. Took my business elsewhere for the same cost. read more

I agreed to his standard price and accepted his date to do the work. He later asked to start at a later time, that was fine. Then he asked to start the next day. Then he didn't even show up, text or call. read more

We had an ice maker box & dishwasher installed, and replaced some bibs. For our project, the costs also included the materials and to us, that was one the selling point for why we chose him. We didn't have to go out of our way to find the correct parts. The cost was also very reasonable (we shopped around before finding Samuel). He provided excellent service, great communication throughout the process, and answered any questions we had. He also pointed out some things we should watch out for in the future (our heater is 10+ yrs old, we actually didn't catch that; didn't try to up-sell like others) and provided some advice on fixing our disposal. Overall - I would definitely recommend Samuel! He's going to be our go-to plumber if we ever need plumbing work! read more

I was looking for a plumber to look at a kitchen faucet issue I was having. I found Anderson on Yelp! and decided to give them a call. Left a message and Briana returned my call promptly. I explained to her my issue and sent her a couple of pictures she requested and arranged for an afternoon appointment for Sam to come by to do the repairs. Sam fixed my issue over the phone! After looking the pictures and hearing what my issue was, he called me and told me what he suspected what the issue was and walked me through the fix. Out of the numerous plumbers I've been speaking with the past couple of days you and one other company (which I used before, but he was booked until next week) were the only ones that really tried to help me out instead of the other way around. Briana and Sam are very professional and easy to work with. I really appreciate the pre-appt call which saved me a lot. Even though I didn't use their services, I could tell by talking to Sam he knows his stuff and is out to help and not just to make a fast buck. You definitely will be at the top of my list for my plumbing needs. Thanks again! read more

I recently had a pipe leakage problem under my drive way. I called a couple company and they offered to fix it for outrageous price knowing that I am desperate. Sam came as soon as he got my call and fix the problem and charged me a very reasonable price. Sam is the owner and he is fantastic! He came out to give a free quote (which a lot of places don't provide) and was incredibly knowledgeable about my gas line and backyard set up. I wanted to lay a new gas line to my 3 gas appliances in the backyard b/c my last contractor did a horrible job building it and the gas line cracked and leaked below the ground. Sam was very honest about the fact that I shouldn't waste additional money on testing for a leak b/c he's certain by now the leak is probably all over the gas pipes b/c my contractor used shoddy materials and the soil has eroded the pipes over the last 8 years. He explained what it would take to properly replace it, offered some cost effective solutions. But in the end I decided not to do anything to my yard just yet b/c I'm waiting for after the fall when we aren't using the yard as frequently to do a complete remodel. I am definitely going to call Sam back for that work and to fix some water fixtures around the house when we're comfortable having people in the house. Sam is super honest, straight forward, responsive, on time, and just the kind of contractor everyone would love working with. I wish more contractors were like him! read more

The first appointment went well, Sam came by and connected my dishwasher and it was a good experience. The second time I tried to schedule something, he couldn't make it late on a Friday and rescheduled for Saturday at 8am, which is understandable. He didn't show up and didn't respond to my text about whether he was still coming. It's too bad, he seems like a nice guy and did good work. read more

Would definitely recommend and use again should I have an issue! They offered to come out within the hour to see to the mystery leak issue (water company said a few gallons was leaking somewhere while house has been empty) so it was a find-the-leak situation. Not only did they find the TWO leaks, they have great recommendations and fixed the one inside the house. Sent the bill, was able to pay online and it was done. The whole process was so easy, a huge relief that they were able to not only find but take care of the issues, I will definitely be calling again should there be any future issues. read more

Since my first review I have scheduled with Sam for multiple jobs at my home for repairs and new installs. He communicates timely and well, which is a bonus given that he is busy. Nice company, had to reschedule once, but that was no big deal. The only problem was he said he would evaluate our sewage issue, never mentioned that there would be a cost for his evaluation, and then sent a random bill for the evaluation? This was our first time working with Anderson Plumbing, we just found them on Yelp when looking for some opinions on a sewage issue, so when speaking to him on the phone he sounded like he wanted to come over to help out. We didn't know what that meant, he didn't mention any costs, or what he would be doing, he just said he would like to stop by. When he stopped by he didn't mention an evaluation cost to us then either? If he had mentioned there was going to be a cost, it would have been no big deal to agree to the price. But, instead he sent us a surprise invoice without any agreement on what the price should be for an evaluation? He told us this was our fault for questioning the bill since I guess it was just assumed he was allowed to charge us whatever he wanted since he came out? So in the end he told us not to call him again. All we told him was we don't mind paying for evaluations, but we believe it is his responsibility to communicate the cost upfront, not send a surprise bill? Anyways, life goes on. read more

Called after seeing suspicious moisture build up on kitchen area, and no clear indicator of any leakage source. Sam was able to drop by within the hour for inspection, even though it was Sunday! Sam was quick to round through - efficient , clear communication and much appreciated education on the plumbing. After the minor leak source being identified/fixed, he refuse to accept payment. So, I owe this honest man a good review at least :) Will definitely be calling him if I have any future plumbing issues! read more

Here's why you want to hire Sam for your plumbing needs: - His prices are extremely competitive, 30-50% less than the competition - He's a good communicator. Texts or calls with updates or if he's running late due to another call. - He's conscientious and respectful about your home/property. - He's pretty clean for a plumber - He's efficient and respectful of your time. - Performs work to code (we passed city inspection) This is all based on my interactions with him over a few days while he's been installing a new gas line (70ft) , replaced a water heater, installed a pressure valve regulator, and installed a water recirculator. read more

Sam and Briana have been fantastic. They have helped twice in the last couple weeks. First, they responded on very short notice to modify a flange that was part of the downstairs toilet mount. We were in the middle of a flooring project and they kept us on schedule. This week they replaced a bathroom sink faucet and shower faucet cartridge. Quick response, high quality work and a very reasonable price. read more

I planned to replace our old-and-leaking faucet, however, the nut mounts the old faucet under the counter is rusty and transformed after I messed it up for 5 hours... Thus, I looked for help from multiple plumbers in Yelp, and Anderson Plumbing is one of them. Sam (the owner) replied immediately with proper quote, and can provide the service next day in the morning. Sam showed up on time, fixed the stuff end-to-end in an hour and he really knows his stuff. I would use his service again for sure, and I will recommend him to my friends. Note: I was a little hesitate in the beginning since there are 0 recommended reviews in Yelp for Anderson Plumbing. However, from those hidden Yelp reviews, I decided to give it a shot, and I'm glad I did that. read more

I had a bad slab leak in a hot water line which was very difficult to find and then to reroute the affected pipes. Sam came highly recommended and was exactly as advertised. He is knowledgeable of his craft, a skilled communicator and trustworthy. I had a water pipe leaking in my garage. I notified at least 5 different plumbing companies on Yelp with a detailed description of the issue to get a price quote and also their availability. Samuel, the owner, replied so quick with a straight up, no nonsense flat rate quote and said it's an easy fix. He was available within a few hours. I didn't hear back from a few and the others that did reply said they needed to come out to see before they could give me an estimate or their estimate was just ridiculously overpriced. Samuel was very pleasant, personable, hard working and professional. He knew what he was doing, fixed the leak and was done within an hour. He also was nice enough to take a look at a sprinkler issue I've been having. Samuel has years of experience as a plumber and recently started his own company. I'd love to see his business thrive! Fast response time, lowest prices and excellent work. What more could you ask for. I highly recommend Anderson's Plumbing. Give Samuel a call for all your plumbing needs! We needed to install a new gas line to our pool heater and received quotes from multiple parties. Found Sam through Yelp and his quote was very reasonable! Not only that he recommended alternatives that were much more aesthetically pleasing. Our gas meter and pool heater are at opposite ends of home and we didn't want the pipe to be visible outside. Many other companies recommend options that were just not ideal. His work is excellent and he is an honest guy who stands behind his word. Highly highly recommend him! So glad we found him through Yelp! read more

I've now hired Sam Anderson to do two jobs for me and couldn't be happier. Sam is pleasant, responsive, professional, and most importantly does a great job. Sam Anderson did a great job for us. We had 1.25 inch gas piping installed along the side of the house along the roof rafters. The original bid was fine, as we told Sam it would take a few months before the plans and all the pieces were put together. Sam was on time, his work was very clean and neat. His pricing was fair.
