I assured him it wasn't necessary, but the offer itself spoke volumes. It's rare to find customer service that feels this personal and generous. If you're in the area, this place isn't just a convenient stop-it's a reminder that there are still people who go the extra mile simply because they care. True, this is the only Walmart in the area,…read moreand this is the one place on town that consistently has a selection of certain types of food. However, this location never has enough checkers. The self checkout is great though, because there is enough space and systems to get people completed quickly. It's pretty hit or miss how the staff will be. They treat you like a criminal at the door leaving: they check your receipt. Depending on how you look, they go above and beyond and will even go through your bags versus just checking the large items. If you can't use self checkout, make sure you don't take the checker's word on your amount of bags. Twice now, I was told I didn't have another bag and found several items were left at the store (and calling doesn't do any good to recover the paid-for items). They seem to always be stocking. Even before the COVID crap. Sometimes it is quite a pain to get down the aisles. Generally though, the stockers are super friendly and will help you navigate around them. This location is what it is. I don't expect much from Walmart anyway, but this location has the bar set even lower.

I have to agree with the other reviewers that I encountered no friendliness in this store. I did…read moreencounter one employee who was very helpful at showing me where the section I was looking for was. When I first walked in I realized I was wearing a patriotic t-shirt I had bought at a Walmart in Arizona so naturally I wouldn't have the receipt with me. I stopped the first young man with a Walmart shirt on that I encountered and asked him if he would vouch for me that I walked in wearing it and didn't put it on on the store and try to walk out with it. He said, "I don't really care one way or the other." Then he told me they were plenty of cameras so I figured I'd have a record of the fact that I walked in wearing it and stopped worrying but it wasn't a very polite answer. The girl at the cash register just kept staring at me while I was paying. She did say thank you when I was done but was almost glaring at me. You think after they read all the reviews about unpleasant encounters with employees they would try to do a better job of training them to be cheerful. Who wants to go back to the store or you aren't treated like a valued customer? I think this is billed as a super Walmart but I've been in many super Walmarts and I wouldn't think this qualified, too small, not enough variety of merchandise to qualify as a super Walmart.
