What started…read moreas a simple question about a "buy two, get one free" chip promotion (advertised both in-store and on the app) escalated into a completely unwarranted confrontation. The cashier, Gail, who identified herself as the manager, was not only unaware of the promotion but became hostile when I asked to use a valid $10 digital coupon from the DG app. She flatly refused to apply it without any explanation. When I requested to speak to a manager, she claimed she was the one in charge and then threatened to call the police on me simply for trying to complete my purchase. She actually picked up the phone to call law enforcement, but after speaking with another individual (who seemed to be an actual superior), she was instructed to honor the coupon--proving it was valid all along. Despite finishing the transaction, she then told me I was no longer allowed in the store. I have already filed a formal complaint with corporate (Case #1620791). It is deeply concerning that a "manager" would weaponize law enforcement over a digital coupon and an advertised sale. I've lived in this area for a while now and have never been treated with such disrespect. Save yourself the headache and go to a different location where the staff is trained in basic customer service and store policy.

Do they run out of things that are on sale, sure it happens same as any other grocery store. It's a local store, it is not large in terms of newer grocery stores but it works just fine. People live to complain but never have a solution. Good people, parking lot is clean and plentiful.
