To tell you the truth I have no idea what they are talking about. It's a grocery store, the shelves are stocked with food. The people that work there are kind and knowledgeable. Do they run out of things that are on sale, sure it happens same as any other grocery store. It's a local store, it is not large in terms of newer grocery stores but it works just fine. People live to complain but never have a solution. Good people, parking lot is clean and plentiful.

This review is for the meat department. We went in to get some precut pork ribs. Great! We did so and waited roughly 10-15 minutes for the process, as expected. He handed me the now cut meat and while walking away, I noticed it wasn't really cut how the packaged one was cut at all. We shrugged it off and decided we could just make some cuts when we got home to fix it up a bit. However, when we got home they were cut horribly and so inconsistently that we would've been better off buying the large chunk of meat and cutting it at home ourselves. Asked for 3lbs of meat... after having to recut ourselves at home, we got maybe 1-1.5lbs.

Our food (four subs) was STILL not ready for another 30 minutes. There was a steady line of in person customers, of course, but they had three workers actively making subs, and all three of them appeared to be prioritizing the in-person line. Only sporadically did they work on our online order, even though they were already behind on our order & those in line had only just arrived. Three other customers who had placed online orders arrived while we were waiting and were still waiting when we left. We finally got our last sub just as they finished serving their last customer in line. Again, this was 30 minutes after we had arrived, 30 minutes after our food was supposed to be ready, and fully an hour and 15 minutes past when our order had been originally placed. This was quite frustrating. I appreciate that the workers appeared to be doing their best, and they did apologize for the wait, which I also appreciate. But I could have gotten my food within 15 minutes if I had just gotten in line with everyone else. I'm not sure what the point is of having online ordering available, if the food isn't going to be ready when promised and the online orders are going to be so deprioritized compared to the in-person orders. Either they need to change their "ready by" times or they need to change their workflow. I will say, the sandwich, which was a vegan turkey situation, was absolutely delicious. I just wish I hadn't had to stand for 30 minutes and watch them make food for other people when our order had already been pending for longer than anyone in line.

The cashier man was nice but didn't take the time to help me figure out the app. I finally figured it out so I could pay for my items. New to this app thing. Didn't know I would not get a receipt. Publix is partially owned by the employees. I stopped by the store in Homestead, N. C. Last week to pick up groceries for the week. The store was not crowded as it was early on a weekday morning. Currently, they are decorated for the holidays and have special sales on Thanksgiving dinner ingredients. I found everything I needed and received discounts as I signed up for their shopper card years ago. The clerks were friendly. There was plenty of parking.

I even found Southern specialties that I love and had been craving including stone ground grits and pimento cheese. The store is neat, tidy and well-organized. They carry all meats except fresh seafood. Most of the vegetables looked very fresh (except the cucumbers). The clerk was jovial and efficient. A second clerk was proactively helpful. 5 Star service.
