I love the new Lowe's Foods! Years ago Lowe's foods was nothing like what it is now. They have really changed their stores for the better offering local farm fresh goodness! Most of the grocery items that I purchase are the Lowes brand only because it has changed. For example their brand of ice cream is simply delicious ricotta strawberry ice cream will make you want to scream and shout! Just to darn good! Other items in the store as just as good. The isles are well kept and things are easily found by the signs. I will say be sure if you don't already have one get the Lowe's card you can gain points for gas! We all know that gas can get a bit pricey so this saves you some money. Their deli area dear goodness you can get sammies made hot and fresh or cold your choice. A salad bar that is kept up at least from the times I have been in there it's been clean with fresh veggies etc. They also have fresh homemade soaps and more all local! One thing I love about this place is that it supports local farmers and more. You can also find that they have prepped dinners so for busy mum's and families it helps on those nights you are just like I can't! :) Swing in here,grab a prepped or prepared meal already from the deli area , toss a little flour on your face (lol) and if nothing else you've been in the kitchen all day! lol Dinner is served. Nope this place sucks. They advertise things all the time being on sale and aren't. I just bought ribs that were half off and didn't realize till we got home they were full price. Yes I should have paid attention but when you buy a full cart it can be overlooked. These people are scam artist so I'll be going to Harris teeter or Food Lion from now on, screw Lowes. My wife and I stopped by to grab a few things while out and about. While selecting yogurt, my wife noticed that it was dated 1/3/25...it was almost 2 weeks past expiration. I tried another brand and it was even worse! Y'all gonna get someone sick! read more

More and more I am finding that the proximity of this grocery store is still not worth shopping here for me. More times then not they are missing carts, low on produce or not great choices and twice now they have refused to honor the deals that are in their emails or sales in their ads when they do not ring up correctly. read more

Overly priced, poor quality, and bad customer service. This place has the prices of Whole Foods, with produce quality that is no better than Food Lion (if not worse sometimes). To make matters worse, the customer service is subpar at best. Time and time again they are either short cashiers, or self check takes way longer than needed when buying alcohol because the employees are no where to be found. read more

I have never met a more friendly, helpful group of people at Lowe's food in Hampstead. We are very particular about the meats and dairy products. We buy has been able to exceeded our expectations and offering quality products and I love that they endeavor to provide locally sourced products. That's very important to us. We're tired of paying large corporations for poor quality food products. Lowes has a great selection in the deli area as well as for seafood and meat. More expensive than other stores in the area. They also have a great wine and beer selection where you can even taste some on tap in the store. read more

Came from Ga to visit with family. Was looking for a jar of sundried tomatoes and couldn't find it. Asked an employee named Lynn and she directed us towards produce. I said "ok thank you". Went to the produce section and was looking for it and all of a sudden, here she comes trotting up to us with a jar. LOL! She almost needed a cape! What a sweetheart! Thank you, Lynn because I was cooking for my family and I needed those sundried tomatoes for a certain recipe. It's such a small thing, but her customer service went above and beyond. read more

If you shop at Lowes check all expiration dates! Deli people have no idea how to slice! Seafood dept. needs to clean the coated scum out of their lobster tank! Bakery dept. Used to have the best pistachio muffins,removed pistachios and put in walnut chunks. Won't be going back! read more

Best staff I have ever seen at a grocery store. Tried to order kegs from area stores and Lowes was the most accommodating and friendly. Went out of their way to help us and make it easy. It is also a very welcoming store with lots of natural light and clean food selections. Best place to order a keg if you are staying at a vacation house in the area. read more

I really want to like this store because of the convenient location and the cleanliness of the interior. However, I feel a two star deduction is in order due to their pricing. Love the location. I haven't been in the area in three years- it's nice having another option now. Food lion back in the day was kind of out dated and dark so we made he drive to Porters Neck. This Lowes is beautiful, light and airy. The pricing is kind of high and they don't price match nor do I normally find any good deals. read more

A nice clean modern store with a good selection and fresh food. Prices are higher than average and too expensive to do weekly shopping. Only shop there for convenience and when specific items are on sale. There is a blonde older women manager who's name I don't know but is very rude and needs some customer service/ people skills training along with the gentleman in the deli department but they are the exception.
