Would never use this pharmacy again. Never had my meds, people were very rude and they have a system where they call you back! You cant call and speak to someone. I called to see if a prescription was ready and their interactive answering service was malfunctioning. It kept repeating unable to verify phone number over and over again no matter what number I dialed, and no matter how many times I said operator/agent. So, I entered the extension for the front desk and told her about the phone service glitching. She was nice and went to inform the Pharmacy and inquire about my prescription status. When she came back to phone she was upset stating the Pharmacy yelled at her and told her there was nothing she could do. I have no idea if my very much needed prescription is ready. I'm disabled and in a lot of pain. I don't use phone apps because I can't see the screen.The nice front desk person couldn't even transfer me directly to the pharmacy because she said they don't have that capability. When you are the only chain drug store in a town you might think that the place might not put in the effort, but this is not the case here. The store recently underwent a complete remodel and they were able to stay open throughout the process. The pharmacy is great. They have a drive through, and they text you status of your Rx. Their system is not unique but they fill your refills before you have to call to get them completed. Be prepared to use the self checkout as they have two and are quick and easy to use. read more

Went there to pick up prescription after being talked to by the middle aged woman behind the counter in a completely rude manner I decided to go elsewhere I'm a nurse anesthetist and would never have talked to someone like that She was an ass. Took my business elsewhere you may think because you're the only game in town you can do that but nope not today. You could maybe improve by getting rid of her or explain to her where the money comes from that pays her salary. read more

I am just recently out of the hospital after surgery. I tried to get pick up a prescription sent by my doctor to this pharmacy. They are the closest one, and they have my extra care card, phone number and all my insurance and medical information. I tried to call to make sure the prescription was ready. There was absolutely no option in their phone automated menu to reach a live person. There is no way to reach a live pharmacist. The closest option was to leave my phone number and they would call me back "in about an hour". They never did. The next day we logged onto the CVS app using my login and there was no prescription showing. We have asked our doctor to send the prescription to another pharmacy and will NEVER use this one again. read more

Ticked off that the pharmacist at the pickup window in store on 11/5/24 attempted to coerce me into paying out of pocket for a refill on prenatal vitamins, when I knew that the better solution in this particular circumstance was to contact my health provider and have them write me a new prescription that covered the vitamins that I need. Just big pharma rearing its ugly head once again. read more

Customer service of this pharmacy staff is the worst I have ever experienced. New to area but have been a CVS customer for more than 25 years. I have not ever before experienced such dismissive, condensending responses from any medical, pharmaceutical staff as I have consistently experienced at this CVS location. It's tough enough to be sick, and adding to a customer's stress levels with unproductive dialogue is frustrating and especially aggravating. I can only hope they receive new customer skills courses after my complaint filed with CVS corporate support. Very unfortunate experiences. read more

This particular CVS located not far from N Topsail Beach is okay. I find that it doesn't really have things that I personally need here. For example the CVS in Surf City has more. With that being said each time I have come the employees have been very professional. I will say that if you come here on vacation and are in need of certain beach things you may find Surf City location to be your best bet. I think the reason this location doesn't have as much is because where it's located. The pharmacy I've used a few times and it's been very easy and the pharmacist has always been helpful. CVS is not a participating partner for Tricare any longer. So, military families heads up on that now. Another issue with this particular CVS is I've been in here several times and the manufacture will have coupons on their products, however CVS will say oh they are expired or they don't work. I'm thinking well why not take them off the shelves if they do not work because that is why some people get them is because of the coupon. Heads up if you have coupons expect some not to work per this CVS for some reason or another even manufacture coupons which can be used anywhere the product is sold. read more

On Monday, December 16th around 5:30 pm I had the pleasure of being cashed out and attended to by Ms. Tammie at the Sneads Ferry, NC CVS. The store was crowded and after I'd purchased a few items I asked if the tall Christmas nutcracker was included in the 40% off sale. Ms. Tammie verified with Manager Jay and he confirmed that it was included. Ms. Tammie stated that she could scan the item for the price and once I decided to purchase the decoration, she sweetly cashed me out again. Before we were finished she asked if I needed assistance, which I agreed that I did. Ms. Tammie notified Manager Jay that I needed assistance and he nodded and smiled that he had the line. Ms. Tammie who is petite quickly grabbed the nutcracker that was almost as tall as she was and carefully toted it to my car without hesitation. She was so kind, professional, and very personable. I hope you thank her and Manager Jay (who has been at this CVS store for a few years and has always been the nicest and most cheerful manager) for being such shining representatives of the CVS brand. Again, Ms. Tammie volunteered and Manager Jay took over as they both took care of a handicapped patron that rode away happily with a 4 foot nutcracker (I left behind my 8 Diet Cokes) in the back seat. The floater pharmacists are terrible, rude, and incompetent. After trying to fill my diabetes meds, I was told the wait time was 1.5 hours. Mind you, I used to work in the pharmacy for a different CVS, and it is against company policy to tell a patient that is waiting that the wait time is more than 20 minutes! When I said that, the pharmacist yelled at me and said that If I wanted my meds that I could wait the 1.5 hours, or transfer it somewhere else. I decided to transfer to a faster pharmacy. The CVS floater pharmacist then yelled at the other pharmacist via phone as I'm standing there, hung up on them, and refused to transfer it. Today, I am here trying to get cold medicine and have waiting in line, inside the store for going on 30 minutes. This place is awful! read more

I'm a local and have frequently shopped here. No issues ever! But recently chose to move my scripts to their pharmacy. I had several questions and a few difficult issues with three of my meds. In one week I was helped on 3 different occasions. The first went very well and I returned as requested, a few days later. This experience was a complete nightmare. The very young tech had absolutely zero customer service skills. She was easily irritated, rude, condescending and basically made me feel as if she thought I was an idiot. I tried calmly to redirect her attitude and remained calm and polite. She only became more frustrated and began repeating the same exact phrase - without eye contact while rolling hers eyes! Was I dealing with a teenager or a trained professional? I told her that she could learn a few things about manners and left. I WILL NOT use their services unless there's no other choice. How can one continue to be employed in such a position with an attitude that rivals that of an adolescent?! If you want good customer service I would not recommend this pharmacy. read more

I go here a couple times a week. Clean store. Friendly staff. Prices are high but they do have coupons!

I have always had problems with the service at this location so I stopped going however yesterday I sent a prescription there because the other place was out of that medicine and I was going to be in that area. But once again they assured me that they are still horrible. It took 3 visits and my one prescription was still not ready. I gave them 15-20 mins a they asked the first time then they kept telling me to driVe around for more time. After the 3rd drive around I told them I wasn't moving. They said that will mess up their time. I told them it should because it should reflect the time I have waited. They told me if I didn't leave the drive through then they were going to call the authorities. I told them to do wHat they needed to do but I wasn't moving. They got irate and they continued to try to belittle me. On a side note my kids were in the car listening to them. My boy side they were not nice. Also the third time I dRove around there was no one behind me. And the prescription was sent around 1:00 I got there around 3:00 and got my one prescription at 3:52. read more
