I am advising you not to do business with Walgreens. I have pancreatic cancer and need medicine to extend my life. My doctor sent a prescription for CREON, an expensive pancreatic drug. The order was made on Monday, May 4th. I was told the pills would be ordered that day...I got a text from Walgreens the next day (5th) saying the prescription was on hold -reviewing insurance, and no action is needed. On the 6th, since I desperately need this drug, I went to the store and talked to the pharmacist. She said someone from the upper echelon at Walgreens had randomly put the drug on hold because it said the medication must be taken with food. She said it was out of her hands didn't know when this would be resolved. Walgreens never told me who pulled this, or how to contact them, or their qualifications to override a veteran physician. They never even contacted Blue Cross, Blue Shield of North Carolina, about the insurance or coverage. I was referred to Walgreens by BCBS of NC because they were in network, and my drug was definitely covered. Blue Cross, Blue Shield representative tried to resolve this for me by calling the local Walgreens. She called them a bit before 12 noon and was put on hold. At 12 p.m., they said they were now closed and would have to call back after 1 p.m. So ask yourself before shopping there. If I could give them 0 stars, I would. Terrible customer service. As soon as I walked into the store, they gave me dirty looks, especially the morning manager. I think they should hire people who are trained to treat customers with respect. You go there to spend money and buy things, and you should be treated like everyone else. This Walgreens wasn't the most clean or for flu place. It could use some TLC and with only one person running the register it took alittle longer than expected to check out. There were also long lines at the photo department. Shelves were stocked and it was an average place. read more

I called to find out what the problem is with filling my prescription because the app says there was a problem. The pharmacy rang and before I could say anything they said "Walgreen's pharmacy please hold". Every two minutes it would stop playing the music and start ringing just for someone to abruptly say Walgreen's pharmacy please hold. At the twelve minute mark I finally spoke to someone who told m they weren't working on a prescription for me that I can buy prenatal vitamins over the counter though. read more

This is total based on the pharmacy. I went in to pick up my Rx and did not realize it was the wrong item until I got home. That is when I called my doctor and she corrected it. I did not open the box, I went back the next day to see if I could return it and just have the money put towards the new script. Now again it was not open. The girl told me they may have syringes that it might fit and they can sell me the syringes at this point I seen the pharm tech open the box and take one out. The other tech came and unfortunately I cannot take these back.. ok but you took one out of the box.. so what am I supposed to do with these I paid $40.00 and now I have to pay 25.00 for the new script. I'm on a very fixed income and I feel since they opened the box they should have taken it back. I really irritated and pregnant. I just might change pharmacies. Because I'm out 65.00 that could went to groceries for my family. Do better Walgreens. And I would like a response!!. read more

They told us our medicine was ready to pick up so we drove half and hour just to be told that it wasnt ready and would be ready in an hour. waited an hour in the parking lot to go in just to be told it wasn't ready and would take about another hour. completely ridiculous considering no one was in the drive thru or the waiting area. we're changing where we get our medicine. read more

The reason for my rating is, I go in here to get my blood drawn at lab corp. the first thing you see once you get out of your car is a filthy parking lot. Once you proceed inside someone must have spilt something hours ago on the floor and it's just there, like no one takes the initiative to clean it up. The store itself can use a good cleaning, along with the parking lot a good bleaching cuz ain't no telling what's out there. When I went to check out afterwards I asked the cashier, who tends to the parking lot and the upkeep in here. They said we do when we have time! I can't tell you how loyal I am to Walgreens. Every time I go there for something I always end up buying something else because they know what their customers want. I was supposed to go in there to buy mayonnaise for my lunch sandwiches. However, somehow, Walgreens knew that I love the movie the nightmare before Christmas and they so happen to have a nice display of plushes. You know I had to buy a plush to take home. Kuddos to the Pharmacy staff. The facility is to small for the volume of business they are doing. Management needs to separate the lab/vaccine folks from the prescription customers. Wait times are too long. The staff has shown patience and professionalism, however. There is not enough representatives on the registers. Not enough space to sort the filled prescriptions which wastes precious time. This is a very busy branch. Walgreens corp it time for an upgrade. read more

Been waiting for about 30 minutes to pick up prescription. This location appears to be short staffed and no consistent help. One Walgreens employee helped briefly but then walked away back into the store. The employee was then seen lingering around the photo counter talking to another employee while about 8 people waited in line and the drive thru was backed up to the main road. Just wish there was a more efficient way to pick up my meds monthly. This is getting old. read more

Submitted a prescription on a Saturday at 1:30 in the afternoon after being told by John that it was accepted and would be ready for pick up at 5pm. Was told to expect a notification text message system with updates about my prescription - didn't get them at all. After hours I called back asking about my status and Brittany said the prescription was ready and can be picked up tomorrow as they close at 6pm, it was 5:30 when I called. I told them I'll come tomorrow to pick it up. Ran into some delay with my regular errands called the pharmacy at 1:46pm about my prescription and they said it can be picked up as they don't close till 6pm on Sunday. I drive all the way over here to be told it's not ready. So not only did they lie, twice, but I was told by Morgan to give them 20-40 minutes to rectify the problem. I'm rating solely the pharmacy. As that is 90% of the reason why I come in. The techs are sometimes a little swamped but wait times arent generally very long which is a great testament to their ability to work quickly and efficiently even with large groups of people both in the store and outside in the drive through. I'm always greeted cordially and asked if I understand what I'm being given and if I have any questions. They are all very professional I've seen and been to other places where tech are sitting around or talking badly about customers. I've never seen or heard anything like that here. It's the only place in town that I go to pick up my medications and it's because of their techs. The only reason I dont rate 5 stars is because of how the building is situated its very difficult and ackward getting in and out. read more

I have never been completely satisfied with this stores service or attitude. absolutely unacceptable! this pharmacy is always backed up and takes forever. it takes forever to get connected to an actual human working there. I wish they would've told me that they were so backed up, like 200 prescriptions backed up... I would've transferred my sons meds elsewhere! The doc send his antibiotics there at 10am Friday and it still said processing all that day and then Saturday morning still processing! like my poor child is in pain and doesn't feel good and they don't have the decency to tell me that won't get it done by the end of that day! so frustrating! and then finally connected to a human at 12pm Saturday and they say oh still processing we have 200 before your child but we'll get it done in 30 min. like wth?! thank god I called or else who knows how much longer I'd be waiting. never going here again! read more

Usually pretty patient with the fact stores/businesses can get busy from time to time and be under-staffed. ABSOLUTELY horrible customer service though from a gal who's name I couldn't even get over the phone.... This €@$$ picks up the phone and, without giving the customer any chance to say a word, says, "hello please hold". After this cycle repeated itself three times, the next four cycles I said, "please don't put me on hold" as she said her, seemingly well rehearsed line. Each cycle lasted three minutes or so. This "gal" and her behavior is a detriment to Walgreens and I hope she receives a "coaching" to calibrate herself. Will not be going to Walgreens anymore... hello CVS! read more

When we finally arrived at the window they told us they were still working on the prescription and to circle back around and by the time we hit the window again it would be ready. WHAT?! We just waited for an hour. The line has now doubled in size. The meds were called in at 2:30 it was now 5:30 and they aren't ready. Terrible experience! read more

I wish there was 1/2 star because this is what this pharmacy deserves and that is being generous. The ASST. Store manager is a wimp and the pharmacist Pearson (spelling) is not at all interested in helping her patients. They want in and out as fast as possible and do not care about their patients. I am on vacation and had my regular prescription called in on Sunday. When i went to pick it up i was told that it would be $368. I said this must be a mistake as it is only $30 where i live. I was in the drive thru when i returned to pick up the prescription for the 4th time that day. The Asst. Store Mgr. said i needed to pull up; i said i am a paying customer and this is my 4th time that day and asked him to give me 5 minutes of his time. He said NO and called the Police. 2 police came. 1 was very nice and understanding the other one was a prick. Finally, after my persistence and insisting they call my regular pharmacists my prescription was only $30. They didn't know how to enter the prescription codes and was expecting me to just accept it. I shop at Walgreens often, always had an ok experience until the other day when we were shopping and my daughter had to use the restroom.. You have to press a button to send an announcement over the intercom that you are trying to go into the bathroom. (Maybe they've had an issue with theft?) but it took an associate about 5 minutes to let us in. Which is a long time for a child.. She acted like it was an inconvenience to unlock the door. read more
