The other day, I needed a few things and decided to try there instead of WalMart nearby. They had a ton of stuff on sale. I bought 10 pairs of shoes for 25¢ each (CENTS). No, I didn't need 10 new pairs of shoes, but c'mon. I was able to get a lot of grocery items on really good clearance. They didn't have a great selection, but good enough to get me through the weekend. They had a lot of stuff marked down to 25¢. I ended up spending $50 when I went in to buy about $3 worth of stuff. WHICH IS WHY I DON'T COME HERE!!! The guy that checked my stuff out was quiet but really nice. I had signed up for a Big Lots card a long time ago, but didn't have it. He really wanted me to get credit for the big purchase I made that day so volunteered to take the time to fix my old account so I'd get those "points" even when I told him he didn't really have to go to the effort if he was too busy. He wasn't that busy, so was perfecty happy to do it. I'll definitely go back, although I'll have to be careful not to buy too much.

About a month ago my mom went to get some cheap pots for her plants and saw clearance outside and saw some pots that were on the shelf so she took 1 inside to buy and it didn't ring up as clearance so my mom calmly said she got it from the shelf outside and when this same lady heard her she once again yelled and had an attitude saying it's not clearance even though she wasn't the one ringing her up. My mom now doesn't like going here because the lady was so mean and rude for no reason. We also have went there when it was supposed to be open but the store wasn't and there was a note on the door saying that one of the employees came in to help open but the manager wasn't there and that this wasn't the first time too. This place has now lost our business for how unprofessional and rude this one employee was!

What can I say? Everything here is $1. You get what you pay for. For example, they sell phone charger usb cords for androids but most cords don't work more than a few times, so it's not worth spending a dollar on them here. They have a pretty good selection of helium balloons and they'll blow one up special for you at your request, but they typically only have 1 cashier, so you have to "bother him/her" to get it done for you. Customer service remains to be seen at this store. The primary cashier during the day, I've seen for three years now, and she has the same unchanging personality. (Why am I here? - syndrome) I very rarely have anyone else as a cashier besides the same woman during the day, and she exudes a do not bother me personality. I like to buy my note cards and thank you notes from there. They come 8 notes in a pack for a dollar. I also buy all my gift bags and picture frames here.

It's the least organized of all of them I go to, it's more like a mom and pop hardware store feeling, but it's not so disorganized it feels messy. The booths they have from their vendors also have a lot of really nice stuff. It's not like some of them in town that are full of a bunch of junk. I've gone here every Christmas now for many years to do shopping. Of the things I found here they are by far the cheapest prices of the antique malls in the region. If you are in the area and have never been it is worth a visit.
