Today was my mom and I first time visiting an Ollie's store. We had a great time, at first. The…read morestore was clean, organized and there was a great selection of books. The problem came when it was time to check out. The guy on the first register from the checkout line to the left around 1:45pm on December 24, 2024 is the reason I am leaving this review. My mom and I were next in line to checkout and the other registers were occupied by other customers alsobchecking out. When the young cashier guy finished ringing up his customer instead of checking us out next, he walks off and pretends to busy himself with something which was very obvious he didn't want to ring up anyone BUT when the next register opened up and my mom and I walked to the next cashier he immediately went back to his register to take the next customer behind us. At that moment it was extremely clear he didn't not want to ring us up for whatever reason but that was extremely rude! I don't want to say race was a part of it but I can't think of any other reason he choose to intentionally not ring us up when we had the same amount of items the customer he helped before and after us had. This really messed up our first time experience at Ollies. The cashier lady to the right side we ended up going to was very nice and signed my mom up for the Ollies Army rewards. After we left I called and spoke to the manager, I think his name is Mike or Michael. I explained what just took place and he was very nice and said he will run the cameras back and also notify upper management. We appreciate him for hearing our concern and not dismissing us. Hopefully the cashier takes a customer service course or finds a new job where he free to be rude else where. This was very upsetting to be treated the way we were and it being obvious in plain sight. Hopefully a real consequence for the young boy comes out of it.

Not boring (Duller Tree), they don't sell crack here (Dealer Tree), and you can't pick me up for sex here (Holla Tree). This is my sexy lover's favourite Dollar Tree in Sugarland or the SE burbs in general, and that's quite a compliment given that she's been to every single one. It just has the most stuff to choose from, and it's the one where - when we come to Sugarland - she's always asking me to bring her back to. So it gets good marks on all counts in that regard, and I'm sure we will continue to come here, as she thinks (with good reason) that it's better than other dollar store brands, and that this is the best location of a very good brand name store.

Or at least pay the employees better so they're not so annoyed all the time. It's a pretty good dollar store, but not as good as one of the ones over in Sugar Land that we went to later, same brand, but better. We kind of like it, and it was the first stop in a day full of interesting experiences down in the southwest suburbs of Houston. Dollar Tree is a good Discount Store and Barbi thinks this chain is better than all the other chains when it comes to dollar and discount merch, but this location is pretty average as far as they go. Also the line was way too long, and unnecessarily so if you ask us, and some of the other customers here were as rude as the employees were.

I think where this place really shines is the game room: the shop sells a ton of snacks and drinks, there's a bathroom (with air freshener and diffuser!) for long sessions, and cool ambience that fits different aesthetics. There's also a painting area for mini figs complete with lights for precision. Staff was super knowledgeable and helpful, as well! Can't say much about the pricing unfortunately, as I'm not much of a figurine player- they seemed accurate to other places though- around 80$ for sets, 20-40$ for detailed figures, and around 20$ or less for some basic / premade figures. They had a section at the back near the game room with 15$ pre-primed figures for painting if you are just into painting figs too.

I was quoted 20 minutes on the wait time but it ended up being over 30 minutes, which is fine except another buyer came in after me and their buy was completed before mine. I only sold one item for $8, which doesn't make any sense because I have name brand items and they are in better and cleaner condition compared to what's in store. Like I said, I probably will not do any selling or buying anytime soon because the integrity and value of this place has really gone down in the last year and a half or so. One of the items I saw on the floor today was a Lululemon workout top for $28 and the biggest problem was that it had a giant stain on it. Granted, you should wash any items you thrift, but it shouldn't be sold on the floor in a dirty condition and for $28. Crazy! Save your time, money, and/or items to sell and go elsewhere unless/until this store location shapes up again and realizes true value and integrity for its items and what's sold in store.

Well I Accidentally walked in with my dog one time and had the GENERAL MANAGER by the name of " Andrea " , literally ridiculed me behind comprehension over something so small. I have walked in with my dog before and explained this to her but it went over her head and she continued to make unnecessary gestures and remarks. I proceeded to walk my dog out and have my sister wait outside with her. No greeting when I walked in just a disgusted look.
