Visited on: multiple dates from 2012 to present…read more To my knowledge, this and Consumers are the only conventional dedicated grocery stores in Stillwater, and Food Pyramid is probably the most well-rounded grocery store, with the best selection of items and the most pleasant shopping environment. They tend to have better quality items (a good example is in ice cream) and the freshest produce. Their main downfall is their somewhat higher prices in comparison to Consumers and Walmart.

They also have a little table up front usually full of coloring pages that my child will sit at and color while I'm checking out. So much more fun for them than just standing there. I love how they are so family friendly. One of our go to's when we go are the pre packed lunch bags that the deli makes! My kids love them. We usually pick them up when we're out and about running errands or take them to have a picnic at the park. Their produce is also a big hit with my family, it is always fresh and delicious. Better than most other places in the area for sure. The employees behind the meat counter are extremely nice and always very helpful. They have the best vitamins sections of any store I've been to. The staff in that department are very knowledgeable about their products and are very helpful with any questions I may have. And yes while most of the prices are a little higher than other places they often have sales regularly, and that is when you need to shop! Overall it is one of my favorite places to shop in Stillwater!

It was interesting to find out that they don't have grocery bags (unless you purchase paper ones), but rather you can grab one of their boxes from anywhere and use it to carry your groceries. I just went tonight and bought good, quality meats and produce for $50 for the next week or so. This is so much cheaper and better than any of the other grocery stores I have been to. They also have a great discount isle and a fun little section of random things where I even bought my dog a sweater! I will always go to Aldi if given the option. Only downside is that something they don't carry everything I need for a recipe so I have to go to another store.

Bag your own items in your own bags (or use one of the cardboard boxes from the store). Beware of the first aisle; it tempts you with junk food and sugar (but some is ok). If produce goes bad, Aldi is pretty good about taking it back. I'd suggest this store over Walmart on price, under for selection, and under for location (the old Walmart is closer to housing on the Southside of campus). I'm no die hard fan, but I generally like it more.
