From 5 to 1…read more.. Jungle Jim's East has introduced us to countless foods and products that we likely never would have discovered otherwise. For many years, our weekly routine was to stop at Sam's Club for staples, then head straight to Jungle Jim's. We'd grab a beer, leisurely wander the aisles, pick up the rest of our grocery list, and almost always leave with a few unexpected treasures. Unfortunately, over the past several months we've noticed a steady decline in the overall shopping experience. Prices have increased noticeably, the quality and consistency of the produce department no longer seem to be what they once were, and many everyday grocery items have disappeared from the shelves. These aren't obscure products, but rather common items that many shoppers regularly purchase. After asking about the changes, a checkout clerk confirmed that Jungle Jim's is intentionally shifting away from being a traditional grocery store and focusing more heavily on its international market offerings. While we understand and respect that business decision, it no longer aligns with the reason we originally shopped there. What made Jungle Jim's special for us was the combination of unique international products and the ability to complete most of our regular grocery shopping in the same trip. As that balance has changed, we've found ourselves making additional stops elsewhere to find basic items, often at better prices. As a result, we've decided to move most of our grocery shopping back to Kroger. We'll still visit Jungle Jim's occasionally for specialty and international products, but sadly it is no longer our primary grocery destination. We sincerely hope management reconsiders the direction of the store, because we'd love to return to the Jungle Jim's experience that made us loyal customers for so many years.

It has a full pharmacy, a pet section, a…read morebakery, a liquor store, a big wine section, plus areas for home goods, makeup, clothing, and more. It really feels like you can find just about anything you might need in a pinch. This is where I do most of my day to day grocery shopping. The produce section is consistently good and the vegetables are always fresh. I also end up stopping here for a lot of quick trips. Sometimes I'll run in for popcorn and candy for a movie night, or grab an easy dinner from the sushi counter and pick up a pint of ice cream to go with it. I will say the sushi is a bit overpriced for the portion size, and you'll probably get a better value at Jungle Jim's. That said, Kroger sometimes discounts the sushi later in the day, which can be a good option just less fresh. They also occasionally have a small discounted produce section with older vegetables marked down. It's a nice idea and I love the concept of reducing food waste, but the section is pretty small and not always stocked. I'd love to see that expanded. Parking can occasionally be a bit of a nightmare depending on the time of day, but other than that it's a really convenient store. My only other wish is that they stayed open later. Overall, it's a solid place for both weekly grocery runs and quick last minute stops.

I went in there Sunday June 28th, early afternoon and went through the self-check out line, and I needed a product from the tobacco cabinet, so I pushed "call attendant," and a young blonde girl named Kyleigh came walking over as if I totally inconvenienced her. She just looked at me, so I asked if I could get 2 Kodiaks. She didn't say a word, just turned and walked away to go get it. When she came back, she scanned them herself, so I thanked her, and once again, she just walked away, then went back over to the podium thing they stand at, and continued talking to the other younger male employee that was standing there, too. Wow. Sorry I caused you to have to work.

I would suggest if you are getting meals for several people that you call ahead and place your order and when you want to pick it up as it's made fresh and NOT cooked and sitting around under a heat lamp for hours. This is a very old, small hometown grocery store that was recently purchased by a family from…read moreIndia. The new owners have put in a few upgrades to the store and it seems this is just the start. They now have a beer cave and a large expanded selection of craft beers and other alcoholic beverages. Does a small town with with more than 11 places that serve/sell alcohol within a 2 mile radius really need a beer cave and huge alcohol selection? I dont think so but thats the Mayor's fault not Medarys. They also updated the overhead lights to led lights so it is very bright. They have replaced the ice cream coolers as well as added pop/milk/dairy item coolers. The box/can food selection is good but expensive. You do not want to use this store for more than something you ran out of and need it asap! The produce department is terrible. They carry a few heads of lettuce and a couple pieces of fruit that seem to be seasonal. It's not very fresh and disappointing to people who are vegitarians. They do carry a nice banana selection but at 69 cents a pound its pricey. They have a hot/cold deli and a bakery section. Sliced deli meat is on par to a little pricey depending on selection and hardly ever on sale. Cheese is expensive and I havent seen a single sale so far but if you ask for Amish American at $4.99 a pound its a steal and in my opinion its better than Land-O-Lakes. They still have the best donuts in Clermont County! However like everything else they are expensive. About 20-45 cents higher per donut than previous owners. Still worth it! Now for the hot deli. Fried chicken and taters. Still seems to be the same flour/spice breading mixture as in the past. Chicken and potato wedges are amazing when first put in case. As time passes they become greasy, dry and terrible. They do offer an after 9pm special and the ladies will fry it fresh. They do offer cold fresh fried chicken in the open cooler like Kroger does. The non family staff is minimal. The ladies in the deli are all very nice and helpful. They work hard running both hot/cold deli, frying chicken and washing all the pots, pans, trays and things. At night there is only 1 person. The most I've seen even in rush hour is 2 ladies working. The owner and his wife are there always. Their son and another family member also have shifts. They all are nice but I think cultural differences sometimes make them seem rude. What I dislike is that they follow you around as if you are going to steal from them. Plus you are on a huge tv camera system so I dont know why they feel the need to make customers feel uncomfortable. That makes it feel less grocery store more corner bodega. They also sell an assortment of incense and a couple hookah pipes. Really? This is a farm town with country folks. This turns many people away. Overall Medarys has your basics but are very expensive. The employees are friendly and the owner and his family are cordial. The store is kept very clean unlike previous owners. They need to expand their produce with fresh items and limit the bodega gimmick items. It would be nice to see some authentic Indian food in the hot deli.

It was Sunday so options were limited and, I HAD to replace the tire. All SEEMED well when I left, there was a bit of a shimmy but, it was my first road trip in this vehicle so I didn't think much of it. Made it to Atlanta and parked the car for the two weeks I was there. I had a rental for work and parked next to my truck every night. On the way back, the truck started shaking badly. I pulled over on the highway thinking I had a flat. Nothing. Checked the suspension, all looked fine. Tried to go a little bit and the truck just shook. I had it towed to Pep Boys. As the mechanic was pulling it into the garage, another guy came running out, waving his arms, yelling. My wheel, the one THIS WALMART replaced, was ready to fall off. It had two sheared lug posts and the remaining lugs were very ready to go. The wheel had been improperly seated by WALMART I had to pay for the repair AND a hotel for the two days I had to spend waiting on a new wheel. My wheel was ruined, the holes were bored out, making it useless. Not to mention the HUGE SAFETY RISK this put me in. Pep Boys got me all fixed up and back on the road. When I stopped at this location to see about them reimbursing me for the repairs, replacement wheel and lost days, they offered me $350. About a third of my total out of pocket. I told them that was unacceptable and we filled out the claim paperwork. Their claims guy called, I explained what had happened and he said he'd look into it. I have a job. A pretty good job. I was not looking to rip them off, I don't need to. I wasn't doing a "slip and fall" wanting them to buy me a house. I got REMARKABLY BAD SERVICE THAT COULD HAVE(luckily it didn't) KILLED ME!! I wanted them to make it right. That is all. I didn't ask for ANYTHING. I would have settled for just my out of pocket but, the video showed the guy torquing the lugs so, NOTHING. They claim NO FAULT AND I AM OUT ALMOST $1200!?! Needless to say, I am in the process of suing them now. If you mess up to the degree they did, SOMEBODY has to make it right. Especially when all that is being asked is what it cost me to repair YOUR BAD SERVICE!!

Right when you walk in, they usually have a plant section that's always well maintained and fun to browse. They also sometimes have a rotating dollar section at the entrance where you can find some really great deals. I'm always surprised by how good their book selection is. They carry so many bestsellers, coloring books, and just a wide range of options that you don't usually expect from a store like this. Their grocery section is also really great. I especially love their frozen section because they have a lot of vegetarian options and some unique items you can't always find at other stores. Their produce is consistently fresh, and they also have a great alcohol section with a wide variety of wines and other options. One of my favorite things is the random clearance areas scattered throughout the store. I've found everything from discounted wine to fun miscellaneous items. There's also a great selection of pantry staples and shelf items, with more variety than you'd expect, so you can usually find something a little different at a good price. Their clothing section is another highlight, with really good prices on both basics and name brand items. They also carry local sports apparel for cheap, like Cincinnati Reds gear, which is a nice touch. The home goods section can be a little hit or miss style-wise, but the prices are great, and I've found some really good kitchen items there. They also have a large seasonal section that rotates throughout the year with outdoor decor, sports equipment in the summer, and holiday decorations in the winter. Overall, this is one of those stores where you can go for just about anything. They even have a small craft section, which I do wish was a bit bigger, but it's still a nice bonus. Definitely a great spot if you want variety, good prices, and a surprisingly enjoyable shopping experience.

This store is huge.. lots of space which is nice because when it's busy, there enough room for everyone without having to squeeze through the isles. It's quite clean as well which is nice. Although this grocery store is more expensive than an Aldi or Walmart - they have better quality items. I buy my fruit produce here occasionally and they're always good. They have great sales on blueberries in the summer and they're sweet. Lastly I like that if you sign up for their perks - you accumulate points in which you can use in the store.
