I also expected to see a wider variety of apples. I guess to me Whole Foods means lots of organic and natural items as well as a broader selection than what you might find at conventional grocery store like Hy-Vee. But that really wasn't the case. Their meat tends to spoil a bit quickly; I attribute this to having such a huge variety of products under the counter, where pathogens could possibly transfer between products. Produce is better than Family Fare but worse than Bakers. Product selection isn't amazing--there's often only one or two brands in a particular category.
