It's a convenient place to walk to and has pretty much anything you would need. The store is always clean and the employees are fast, friendly and polite.

Found this newly constructed Dollar General store on my way to York. It's right off the…read moreWrightsville exit of route 30 and stands alone. It was so new in fact that it wasn't yet listed on Yelp and I couldn't check in. I just happened to have an item I needed to return from another location with me and since I was right there I popped in. While it was a typical Dollar General in alot of ways there were several noticeable differences,specifically in the housewares section. THEY HAD DISPLAYS! I'm talking full blown thoughtfully decorated displays of merchandise like Target has. Modern farmhouse style is in right now and that's what was front and center. So many choices too, everything from towels, trinkets, dishes, flowers, arrangements, etc, all themed to that style. They had a much bigger selection of housewares in general than any other location I've been to. And who doesn't love a good Dollar General?!? Now I love them even more! I suspect since this is a new location that it is the "model" for what they will all eventually be. I can't wait. Once I pried myself away from home decor they had all the other depts, however much more inventory and choices in general because they used a very high shelving system. The cashier was happy to take my return even though it was purchased elsewhere (no receipt either so he gave me a gift card). Markers and shields were in place due to covid and while they didn't sanitize the carts for you they did supply spray and towels. 4 stars because I would be afraid of the parking lot at night. The way the store is positioned employees can't really see you and the parking lot is quite expansive. Because this is right off an exit to a major highway with heavy truck traffic and stands alone it would be easy to get snatched. Just sayin'

This particular location absolutely infuriates me due to the lack of quality employees. There's…read morebeen multiple occasions that I have been blatantly ignored while employees engage in one off personal conversation. I've heard them use profanity, and I've been checked out with a team member was on FaceTime with their children at home. Not to mention, you never know where the team member is going to check you out because they're all standing around the different spots of the store or congregating in one area so you end up standing in what you think is a line at one register but meanwhile the team member is operating the opposite register and never invites you over to check out. The only thing that I would love to get out of this is management recognizing and holding these employees accountable. I go there in the morning to get in and out so I expect the service I deserve. Is that too much to ask for?

Apparently they have a very short growing season and they're quite expensive to purchase. They are delicious and oh, this pie did not disappoint! The fruit filling was plentiful and the berries were whole, not mushy or overcooked. Absolutely wonderful ! I generally dislike pie crust but this was a great crust, tasted good and even better, golden brown and completely cooked underneath! The cherry pie was much sweeter and had a strussel type top crust. It was delish also. I will be returning to Jillybeans for pie and to try other goodies. A tiny place that packs a big punch!
