There was some sort of layout to follow. The selection varied. I'm happy to see that this store was moved to allow for a larger layout. That allowed for me to find items that are great staples to have on hand as a just in case. I stayed in the food aisle for a bit because you never know what items might show up on the shelves. I ventured into the drink aisle as well and found some sodas I wanted. Being in the one liter variety they were just right for me. I also had a look in the cooler/freezer section. I went light in this area because I was so far away from home and still had some shopping to do. I know this is an overstated fact about this establishment, but you get a lot for your money when you shop here. I came out of here with a few bags. The employees looked a bit tired and a bit offstandish to deal with.

This Dollar general on the other hand was a quick in-and-out due to great service. I'm rarely over in this part of St Mary's county so I probably won't be a regular, but I'll try to schedule my greeting card purchases when I'm in the area. if you didn't know it, Dollar general is the best place to buy greeting cards!

Things are still reasonably priced and they have a good variety of items - including a large frozen section with quick dinner items. You can park right up next to the door, there is almost never a line and someone is usually right there to check you out. So much better than having to make a stop at Walmart! My only problem has ever been with out of stock items. A couple times their dairy section has been almost completely depleted. The last time I went in for a 12 pack of soda and a gallon of milk and they were out of both! They are convenient enough that I keep going back.

The only downside I can think of is that it's a little bit less organized than other dollar stores I've been to. The people who work here are always friendly. Whether they're helping me find candles or are ringing me up at the counter, I've never had a less than desirable experience with those who are employed here. The store itself is a bit cluttered and has a few items that I personally wouldn't really ever buy there. But this place almost always has what I'm looking for, which saves me a ton of time on the road so that I don't have to drive 20 mins to the closest Walmart. They also have a small food department where they sell packaged chicken nuggets/frozen pizza. They also have eggs, milk and a few "essential" food items. Bottom line: selection and friendly service earn the points for this establishment. The only setbacks are the oddities on the shelf and the clutter/lack of organization. This location is normally clean and nicely organized. Going here during Covid it still holds to that. There was a line to get to the register when I first walked in but everyone had mask on and were social distancing. One thing I did notice is there really weren't any employees on the floor to assist of help was needed. Maybe they were hiding between aisle because I sure didn't see anyone but the cashier. The cashier was a pleasant gentleman that seem happy to be at work. I thought it was very cool they had a trophy at the counter. When I first went to take a photo the cashier thought I was making fun of the location but I told him I was really impressed because I have honestly never seen one in any other dollar general (possibly not paying attention or they don't offer it everywhere...who knows). Once I stated how I was impress he seem to be smiling under his mask and was speaking about it! That makes me happy to see a proud employee of their job! Great job Dollar General!

This morning was already close to 90 degrees, and I honestly just came in here to finish up a…read morebusiness call. The air conditioning was right on cue and it was just what I needed, because the shopping center where this store is located has zero trees and zero shade. I was on the phone for a good 8 minutes and no one bothered me or asked what I was doing. Then I needed a pen to write down some information. I was not that prepared as you can see. Georgia was super nice to me and walked to show me where there were some pens by the register. That was so kind of her. Then I noticed a Dove bar of soap that normally sells for more than $4.00 anywhere else. Here it was less than $1.25. Georgia helped me again while I purchased the soap. It's also the Holiday season. The store manager, April is the sweetest. She is so humble and took the time to have a conversation with us and had a lovely sense of humor. And anytime that I see a Dollar Tree, I have the urge to stop and see what they might have to offer. I saw this on my way out and knew that I would be stopping on my way back. It sits in a plaza and kind of looks out of place. When you go to Google Maps and pull it up, depending on where you are on street view, you can see that this used to be a seafood house. DT kind of moved in, cannibalized the space, and turned it into a fluorescent monotoned store. With this being so far out of DC and Baltimore, I do have to say that there was a lot of variety and the shelves were well stocked. I was able to grab a few items that I didn't really need, but figured I should pick it up or I might not find it later. Overall, not a bad store or stop. But obviously not a place I am going to go out of my way to revisit.

They have a Teacher's Corner that had mostly religious banners and borders and many repeats on the items; the stuffed animal section was almost non-existent, which was quite disappointing! However, they did have a larger selection of flip flops up at the front as well as the seasonal items. She extremely patient, she took time to help me find the items I wanted to purchase. The store was well stocked. Not only did I find the items i wanted, I end up purchasing three times what i planned to purchase. This is without a doubt the greatest Dollar Tree store i have been to in my many years as a Dollar Tree customer
