Fresh produce, dairy products, canned goods, and many staples Immediately catch your eye. They also carry hard to find specialty items. You can also order online and pick up during the day daily from 10 AM through noon. One caveat I did notice was: There are a lot more craft beer brands than fruits/vegetables. I am sure there are a lot of kinks to be ironed out hopefully in the next coming weeks.

You would expect that if four guys were in Accord, NY for a weekend getaway they'd been planning…read morefor months, most if not all of them would bring toothbrushes. But in this case you would be as disappointed as I was because half of them (one a seasoned traveler) brought nothing even resembling a toothbrush. We entered Rondout Valley Grocery hopeful but with the understanding that the rest of us might have to live with these guys' atrocious breath for three days. Or else they will "borrow" our toothbrushes when we are too drunk to notice. My buddy headed for the beer fridge in anticipation of Plan B after we found no toothbrushes with the paper towels and no toothbrushes with the shaving cream. There was a well-balanced beer selection, with offerings much better than your typical convenience store. Almost giving up, he asked the clerk about toothbrushes. BEHOLD. Toothbrushes right behind his head. He purchased two and we never looked back. Thank you Roundout Valley Grocery for having everything a person needs, especially when "everything" means beer and toothbrushes.

That happens, no biggie--right? The person at the counter was super-hostile, basically yelling that I'd ordered something else. I said I hadn't. She went into the back, and I thought she was going to get me the right one...then she came back and tried to charge me again. When I said I'd already paid, she pointed to the few bites of the wrong flavor I'd eaten, as if I was trying to pull one over. I was shocked at how hostile they were. So were the people with me. I live in the area and found Troys while searching for local delivery. It is the ONLY place around…read morethat does deliver. Sometimes its a long wait but totally worth it. The food is 90% of the time, fantastic. I did order a meal once for delivery and was told I didn't meet the required amounts, so I added some extra garlic knots. When the driver got to my house it ended up being nearly 8$ more than what she told me on the phone. All of my food was burned and my calzone tasted like it was all cooked together with the garlic knots so it all tasted the same, like burnt bread and garlic. Was the ONLY bad taste experience I have had. Was disappointed in the high cost of the food along with the long wait time to end up with burned food. I get anxiety about calling sometimes because you never know the mood of the person you are going to get. I think Troy is stressed, and then the employees act the same way. The woman who answers sometimes can be snappy and make you feel like youre a bother. I still order, just maybe a little less than before. Aside from my small little issues stated above - The food is really great. The sandwiches are huge and well worth the price, the cheese steaks are bomb, the rajun cajun pizza is good (if you like the spice kick otherwise cheese is gr8). Wings are on point they are generally kinda crispy which is how I like them. I will recommend this place to anyone and everyone. Its off the beaten path but so worth it! Give Troys a shot and support a local business (maybe take some stress of of Troy)
