The store is lacking in cleanliness, especially outside near the shopping carts where there is always trash and debris laying around. I really prefer to shop at the Willow Grove Giant where there store is cleaner and has a better selection.

This is a really busy store The parking lot is always full. if you need a one of those little carts to ride around the store, Be aware, you may not get one or if you try to wait for one you'll be waiting for the size of this store, they should have plenty more of those carts available. They have mostly self check out kiosk and not many cashiers so a anytime the cashier is available the lines are long. Overall, this is the best one in my area so again I'm stuck coming here.

I stand by some of the specifics I mentioned, but now, about a dozen visits later, I understood where I was wrong, and *how* Grocery Outlet is a regular money saving stop for me now. One thing I touched on in the original review was comparison pricing against Walmart. I still believe that in about half the cases, if something Grocery Outlet has is also available at Walmart, it'll be cheaper at Walmart. But, conversely, about half the items will be cheaper at Grocery Outlet. It's also true that some products are closer to their "best by" date at Grocery Outlet, but that almost always results in it being drastically cheaper. I think the methodology to use when visiting Grocery Outlet, is to make it your *first* stop, with the understanding that you will be picking up select items there, and then also stopping somewhere else (yes - the savings are big enough to justify the cost of driving elsewhere). I now know the items that are regularly less expensive at Grocery Outlet, and I also know that there are going to be fantastic deals on spontaneous discoveries that will easily substitute for something that will be more expensive elsewhere. For example, frozen pizza, frozen meals, and snacks, are now things I buy exclusively at Grocery Outlet. The store is well maintained, more so than I first reported, and the employees are friendly and helpful - especially once you get to know them. And lastly, but no less important, you're supporting a family operated business. Now, I am a regular and happy shopper at Grocery Outlet.

He also just seemed to be very miserable. We then had to go to customer service to fix it and the teen working there was very nice and able to fix it for us. I don't like that a lot of deals are through online coupons online but I guess that's part of the modern world. It just is a pain to download and create an account just to get a decent price. I left the beer where it sat and walked out, never to return ! On line, Acme explained that they card everyone as a rule, so there's no confusion..... Oh really ? Dear Acme, since you only want to hire idiots that can't see to comprehend, OR hire management with capabilities, this Senior Citizen will not be supporting a company that has no respect for the elderly in the community. I went to the customer service desk to ask for assistance and the two women that were working at customer service proceeded to continue with their conversation and ignore me while I stood there. I asked if somebody could help me. I told them that there was a motorized cart in the doorway, and that no one was able to get into the store. They said, okay, and I went outside to get my cart. I went back to go in the front door and there were two elderly men that were moving the cart. The two people from customer service came over and watched the 2 men move it.. I have lived in this area my whole life. The people that work at this store are so miserable and lazy it's ridiculous. No one wants to help you. I'd rather drive fifteen minutes past this store to go to Wegman's then shop here anymore. For the prices in this store, they need to step it up

Now my only reason for 4 stars as opposed to 5 is it's kinda expensive. We normally between two people for a week spend around $230 for a week at giant. Here we hit $230 easily on a week with one less day. And we weren't doing a full on shopping trip. We didn't need any of the pantry staples. So I don't think we got as much for the same price. Also it's a 30 minute drive where Giant is 15. So the economics aren't panning out.
