I bought a desk online on Thursday at 11:23 and went to pick it up today, Saturday. When we went in…read moreto pick it up, the woman at the counter first said something to effect of they didn't sell the piece I was talking about. I showed them the email receipt I had and she told me that there was no receipt at the counter documenting the sale. It was at this moment that I had assumed they sold it to someone else, but nonetheless she looked up my name and was able to find the receipt on their system. We drove around to the back to pick it up and after about 10 minutes of someone looking, he returned with a supervisor. I showed them a picture of the piece and they went back to looking for it. Then, they returned a few minutes later with someone else. They did not have the desk and I had to go back into the front to get them to refund the purchase. The supervisor met me there with the receipt and was telling the cashier that the desk was sold to someone else yesterday, a full 24 hours after I bought it online. Of course they refunded me, but it was just frustrating that over 24 hours later it was sold to someone else. I would not consider purchasing anything online again unless you want to call the store immediately and have them verify that they put the sold sticker on it, as that clearly didn't happen. I wish they had a better online system that prevented this from happening with the few pieces that are listed online.

Like all ROSS Department stores it's always a hit or miss. I have found some really great deals at…read morethis location but my review is because of their customer service practice. The last 2 times I've went to this location there has been only 1 cashier. So of course there is a line the problem I have is when someone walks into the store and go to the return line and The cashier ignore all of the customers who have been patiently waiting to checkout so we can get on with our lives. Because this same thing had just happened to me earlier this week so When I finally made it to the cashier today I questioned her about why would she take someone who just walked in and she had customers who were already in line waited and she informed me that that's how it's done at Ross. If a customer with a return comes in they are to take care of the return fist and then take care of the regular customers. I asked her did she realize that we both are customers and your basically saying your customers with returns are more important than the customers trying to make a purchase. ROSS YOUR POLICY IS HORRIBLE AND YOU NEED TO ASK YOUR CUSTOMERS WHO ARE PURCHASING HOW THIS PRACTICE MAKE THEM FEEL.
