There is not one grocery store that you can go to around here that has all you need. Each store has…read moreits place whether you want to find some vegetables, meat, dairy, or packaged national brand stuff. Once you learn which of those that Aldi carries and which it does not then you can make Aldi your primary shopping location. For value you are not going to do better locally, some other places have the same items at literally double the price. The Aldi store brands can be hit and miss. The chips and candies are always hitting with some good taste and low prices. Some of the sauces are kind of bland which you don't know until you try and then maybe forget next time. All of the breads are at least good or better. The bagels are the best store bagels going and it is not even close. Except for the Hawaiian bagels, because why is there pineapple in a bagel? There are a couple downsides to shopping here. First, I don't know what is going on with stocking but sometimes the thing you want is just an empty space on the shelf. That doesn't happen all that often for my goods but when it does it is a bummer. The other downside is that for many items they are one and done. Find something you like, say the air fryer cheese curds. Those were good and I hope they bring them back. Those little turkey breasts are pretty good and for $10 you can get a few meals out of them. I recommend shopping at Aldi, and don't forget your Aldi quarter!

We stumbled upon this wonderful shop while walking around historic Dahlonega square. The store…read moreassociate was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. We let her know our preferences and what types of food we cook, and she made great suggestions. We sampled several oils and vinegars and decided on the following: Honey ginger white balsamic vinegar Toasted sesame oil (specialty oil) Black truffle oil (specialty oil) We also purchased a few bottle pour spouts to go with the oils. We've used the oils many times and love all of them! The oils and vinegar are great for stir fry, fish, salads, and more. We try to incorporate them in as many dishes as we can. Fortunately for us, most of their oils and vinegars are available for purchase and shipping on their site for when we run out!

The employee and few customers that were there when I was in the store all wore facemasks. The friendly employee was very knowledgeable and helpful in suggesting some olive oils and balsamic vinegars after I let her know what kinds of flavors I preferred (hot, sweet, sour, etc.), and foods that I enjoy. I sampled a couple of balsamic vinegars, but didn't really care for any of them. I guess it's because they had strong flavors and I really need to taste them with foods, but I didn't want to buy some vinegars and find out that the flavors overpowered the food. The olive oils were different, though. I sampled about seven different olive oils - fruity, spicy, herb-y, etc., and I thought most of them were flavors that I could get into. I ended up buying two bottles: one bottle of wild anithos dill infused olive oil, and one bottle of Baklouti green chile pepper fused olive oil. I add just a little of the chile pepper olive oil to the ramen that I make at home. The Baklouti green chile pepper fused olive oil adds a hot spicy kick to anything it's added to. The wild anithos dill infused olive oil goes great with roasted potatoes or baked salmon. The dill flavor also goes a long way. I tend to like strong and bold flavors, but there are also olive oils that are a little more subtle. When you've selected the balsamic vinegar or olive oil you'd like to buy, the employee will fill a bottle right there in front of you from the big containers. The bottles are preprinted with the appropriate balsamic vinegar or olive oil name, so you won't get confused as to what's in the bottle. The employee will seal the bottle, so it's perfect for gift giving. I saw other flavors that I'd like to try the next time I'm in Dahlonega. I know I will buy more in the future. Oh ... they also sell their products online, too.
