Their excuses ran the gamut from Dr. Is on vacation to no operating rooms available at the hospital. My ex is 74, easily confused, non-confrontational and on Medicare. When I finally convinced him to let them know that I could speak to them, they suddenly found an OR available. Dr. Woo was careful to show me what a great job he had done, but when I asked about the damage that could have been caused by the prolonged use of a catheter, he quickly started blaming prostrate medication...medication HE prescribed! Fortunately, removal went off well and he is able to "void" so far. A lawsuit is still not out of the question for the pain and suffering caused by this neglect.

I've been overcharged 3 times on butter and eggs, and today I bought 3 items that were either spoiled or smelled funny. The fresh fennel smells like fish emulsion. I bought lamb neck stew meat- absolutely disgusting smell. I didn't notice the smell in the grocery but once I got home I could smell it through the bag. Also a drink I bought that stays refrigerated was very foul. I'm not sure if the refrigerator trucks bringing the items in are not working properly or what but that's a lot of items to be bad in one day. Customer service is always top notch and I appreciate how hard everyone works to make you feel seen and welcome.

It was refreshing to walk into a small town shop that is not run by global corporate giants who have never heard of the town or met the people who call it home. It reminded me of my childhood of going to the local grocer or hardware store. They do have a decent selection of items from produce to meat, and all of the dry goods you may need, but as a small independent grocer, the selection is not as large as your chain stores. We were able to find everything we wanted and needed. The cost per item was higher than other retailers as to be expected since they cannot purchase in the quantity the big box people do. But, what I spent extra at this IGA was easily saved in fuel costs of making the drive to Gainesville. We were greeted when we walked inside the door and every staff member we met was friendly and helpful during our shopping trip. If we lived locally, I could see us making this a stop for those small shopping trips or one-off needs and visiting frequently. When in the area and finding ourselves in need of forgotten items, we will be returning.

YES THAT'S ME.... I purchase 10 at a time at every visit because I'm afraid that one day they will stop carrying them. Everyone that works there now knows me as the "sweet tarts lady" as soon as they see me put down the handful sweet tarts at the register....not by face recognition, it's quiet funny. Tonights visit the shelf was down to 2 packs, usually there's always a case full. I said oh no my sad day has come. There was a person at the register I've never met before kindly he said maybe check the candy isle I kindly responded they usually don't keep them over in the food isle, they're always displayed at the front register candy area. Then to my surprise another man comes around the corner who I recognized (store manager?) He saw me and remembered me as the lady who loves those sweet tarts and kindly told me that he had placed the new box on shelf just for ME. It's always a pleasant personable, and friendly experience from ALL the employees that work at this location. When you order everything online you miss out on the genuine customer service experience and real life people working hard for a living with a caring attitude. 10 stars for this store!!
