I bought a fresh bag or cutie oranges and the same evening they are rotten and disgusting. I try to check everything before buying but this was just gross. If you have monthly refills you might be able to save quite a bit of money at Goodson. The pharmacist will take the time to discuss the medication and give you an information sheet. If you don't feel like walking inside, give them a call when you pull in the parking lot and they will bring your meds out to the car. We transferred all of our prescriptions over from a large chain grocery store and now we save money and time. I also like it that they carry old fashioned candy by the piece!

I have to give this IGA a full five stars! We found this while driving to see if we could get a few…read moreneeded items locally instead of running into Gainesville to one of the big chain stores. It was refreshing to walk into a small town shop that is not run by global corporate giants who have never heard of the town or met the people who call it home. It reminded me of my childhood of going to the local grocer or hardware store. They do have a decent selection of items from produce to meat, and all of the dry goods you may need, but as a small independent grocer, the selection is not as large as your chain stores. We were able to find everything we wanted and needed. The cost per item was higher than other retailers as to be expected since they cannot purchase in the quantity the big box people do. But, what I spent extra at this IGA was easily saved in fuel costs of making the drive to Gainesville. We were greeted when we walked inside the door and every staff member we met was friendly and helpful during our shopping trip. If we lived locally, I could see us making this a stop for those small shopping trips or one-off needs and visiting frequently. When in the area and finding ourselves in need of forgotten items, we will be returning.

Much better than chains where you wait hours for a Rx. Definitely much better than the close Kroger pharmacy and faster than the close by CVS. Quick in and out. If I bring a paper Rx by without the Dr. calling it in first, if a car is behind me, I pull around so as not to hold up a ready Rx. Nice neighborhood pharmacy. A hidden secret for sure.
