(Yes, please pull to the forward pump.) No trash on the ground, a very tidy gas station. I have never left a Yelp review before but, I had to for this place…read more After a long night with a sick baby, I stopped here to get coffee because I didn't have time/energy to wait for the pot to brew at home. Question for regular gas station coffee buyers- are all RaceTrac coffees absolutely disgusting or did I get a bad cup somehow? I have got coffee maybe 10-20 other times in my life from crappy gas stations in the boonies when something went wrong with making it at home and it was at least coffee flavored water each time. What I got this morning... I think might have been wash out water from an asphalt truck??? It smelled only 10% like coffee is supposed to, definitely chemical smelling like more then anything. It tasted like cleaner and made my taste buds feel like sand paper. Two sips (one while hot, the other after it cooled down some with me thinking that maybe some weird temp thing made it taste like dirty socks laundry drainage- wasn't the cause FYI) and rest went in the dirt. Is this normal? I don't know that I have ever got a cup of coffee from a RaceTrac before in those 10-20 cups but, I can guarantee you- I won't ever again, at any of their places.

The rental car was down to a quarter full. I do not need to go inside the store as the pump took my SHELL credit card. Fill it up with 81 Octane will work. 8.5 US Gallons at $3.149 US Dollars. Great, I am happy to have stopped at this SHELL gas station, and let's get back on the road again.

This is QuikTrip store #708 and you can find it just off I-985 exit 22 (US 129 south / SR 11 / US…read more129 Bus. north (Athens Highway)) in Gainesville. This is an older QT and, therefore, gets three stars from me ("A-OK"). The best thing about this QT is it's got 20 pumps so it's on the upper end of the QT spectrum in metro Atlanta when it comes to filling station size. You'll most likely never have to wait for a spot here, especially since there's a newer station across the street (more on that later). While the pumps are still fully functional, they're old and not as nice compared to the pumps at newer QTs. The screens are harder to read. This isn't a big deal unless you're spoiled by the pumps at newer stations. As for the convenience store, it's an old school QT retrofitted with contemporary offerings like made-to-order food from QT Kitchens. The restrooms are smaller and more cramped; and in my experience, they're also not the cleanest. The service, like most QTs, is good. A newer RaceTrac has opened across the street. It's one of RaceTrac's current generation "RT6K" stores. I haven't been there yet, but if I'm ever in this part of town again and need gas, I'll be going there instead. The RT6K stores are RaceTrac's answer to QT's "Gen 3" (current generation) stores, so it's probably better than this QT.

For some reason, no matter which one you go to, you…read morewill always find them to be on of the most inexpensive places (unless you are going to a no name place, or a wholesale place). There is a gas station (krogers) across the street, and they typically beat it by a few cents, even though if you use a kroger card, you save a few cents...this still beats that price! The station is always clean, and there is always a gas stall available. It would be nice if they accepted android /apple pay...would give them that 'extra edge' over the rest!
