I don't even fit the profile, whatever that is!! I hope the cashier was embarrassed too when she saw that nothing was under my purse. This is the second issue I've experienced with HEB on Dowlen in Beaumont. She was extremely rude and unapologetic even though I had been standing there since before 6. I feel that if you are open, you should be open and provide all services. I only stopped here on my trip because I was looking for places with dry ice for my cooler and these folks had it! I ended up buying some more road snacks because they were a heck of a lot cheaper than Kroger! I'd go here again because of the great customer service, classic style feel, and the local selection offered here. The owner seems really nice and he'll start a conversation with you whenever you check out. All the korean goodies that a review mentioned before were not present when I went. So I guess they just didn't restock them anymore. (FMI) I realized that Beaumont had a handful of Pinoy population just enough to make some nursing associations (2) so that somewhat intrigued me for the moment. This place is worth a visit if you are craving Asian (Pinoy, Viet, Chinese) food. Just don't come here expecting they have Korean goodies.

No problem as we were in town only for the long weekend. Their beer and wine selection was great. Lots of choices. I like my wine sections broken out by region vs. by type, so looking for organic, vegan wine was difficult but not impossible. I recommend this store to any vegans traveling through the area that need provisions.

If I had to describe this location with 1 word, it's variety. They have tons of things I have never seen on other grocery shelves. I've been working in Beaumont a lot in the past 9 months and this is by far the best store around. Let me break it down for you: Produce: Huge selection! I don't think I've ever seen this much fruit in one store. They had more variety of apples than I think actually exist. I think they made some of them up. Impossible to have this many variety. Meat/Seafood market: The meat market was solid. They have a true butcher onsite. Nice 2 inch steaks in the case ready for your grill. Not very big in comparison to the seafood market. The seafood market is huge! The have a ton of local gulf fish, live lobsters, Alaskan snow crab! Are you kidding me? Deli: They feature Boarsbead and their own brand meats. They also have a variety of cheeses and ready made meals. Things like pasta salads, chicken breast, fish, crab cakes, cooked veggies and more. This is all for the lazy shopper....I am that person Beer/Wine: Solid selection. The wines are arranged by country. I'm not a huge wine connoisseur(yes I googled how to spell that) so that's all the input I can give. The beer selection is really nice. A ton of craft beers many of which are local. You can even by bottles individually of many of their brands. Health foods: There is an entire aisle for vitamins and protein powders.
