I can tell he's been doing this for a long time because between the X-ray our pediatric dentist sent over and just looking at my poor swollen face kid he knew what needed to be done. We thought he was funny and caring and both her Dad and I agreed we liked him a lot better than another local practice that was scheduling so far out, regardless of emergency. We saw mostly teens and ours is just little yet, elementary school. They walked her back so nicely and I think his own wife hung around her in recovery. Dr Kelson came back to go over what he found inside, so nice and really cared about a little one. We all got her out to my car. He told me to not hesitate to call if things worsened and he would do a round of antibiotics. THEN when I least expected it my phone rang at 6:30pm as he called to check in on her. If we need anything else in the future, I hope we don't. We'll be coming back.

And mind you they have a 15% charge if you miss your appointment. So if you couldn't pay what happens? I didn't have 800 dollars I wasn't even aware it was due until after I was getting prepped. I asked if I can put 200 for now. They made an exception but it just felt really weird and messed up. That's all I had for the next two weeks. I was scared. Usually it's courteous to give a rough estimate before the appointment so one comes prepared. This is with insurance so they were attempting to charge me based on my policy coverage prior to billing occurring. They also didn't offer me any options prior for the wisdom teeth removal whether it be local or IV sedation. It was just a charge list that they handed to me without offering any options. They also didn't talk about any changes that are possible for the sedation process which is the pricey area. Make sure you guys advocate for yourselves and make informed decisions before you walk into any office. Make sure to call and inquire about patient responsibility too so you come prepared for your appointment or have to reschedule. This is something they really need to work on and I'm really disappointed. But I'll end on a positive note, doctor called me in the evening to check on me. Office was responsive when I told them about my stitches coming out. They gave great after care instructions and provided appropriate pain management.

They request a deposit the day of surgery, then you have 3 months to pay the balance.

I am 100% honest when I say that the experiences of past was absolutely horrible and these excellent two amazing Dentist's took all my fear and made me feel like I am just visiting 2 amazing offices full of loving and kind friends. I never ever imagined that I would ever even go to dentist again no matter what. Anxiety of past experiences was horrible but I am now a believer of not allowing every terrible experience hold you back. You have to push yourself through those and you can find amazing opportunities. Took my 12 years of fear to finally get myself to make my 1st appointment and now I have not only found the absolute amazing two dentist that are basically more than I can possibly say. Dr. Lane has something that is deserving of a rating that is off the charts. I have never ever dreamed that I would not only ever get myself over my fear of dentist but to be blessed to have placed myself in the best care imaginable is something that I am completely blessed with. Thank you Dr. Lane for your genuine care and expertise. I never ever imagined that I would ever be where I am today and this because of the absolutely 2 best Dental offices ever. Other women have told me they felt they same way. Furthermore, I was horrified by his policies - although I admit, I stupidly signed in agreement. No where else in town requires such a huge fee if you cancel! As it turned out, I cracked a tooth and had to get a crown one week (different Dr.) before the date of this appointment. My mouth was still very sore, but I was told I could not reschedule without paying this huge fee. That was disheartening, and after his additional surgery, I was overly miserable. I would never ever want to go through that again, and I would wish it on nobody!! What followed was even more unbelievable since this happened shortly before Christmas! I used my FSA (Flexible Spending Account) credit card to pay for the proceedure as required upfront. Thank goodness for this because the FSA payment took longer to go through than it should have, and the FSA staff apologized, stating they made a mistake. When I learned of the issue, I immediately called Dr Coppin's office and gave them a heaads up. As Murphy's Law predicts, the FSA did not get this rectified by the date promised. Nevertheless, the lady in billing started putting the card through the following day and two to three or more times each day for a week. In my opinion, this was not only mean-spirited, but ugly. It cost me nothing extra, but I could see this could cause a single mother struggling or anybody else for that matter, to go under as since most credit card companies charge for each transaction that fails. And at Christmas time...really! What type of a business does this!! My only conclusion is that this entire business is only interested in money and has no compassion or concern about the community. Shame on them!!!

Then they schedule me for almost TWO MONTHS OUT. I wait through with frequent headaches, toothaches and what feels like severe ear infection caused by the tooth to FINALLY get to my appointment date and my Drs office the calls me the morning of the extraction to tell me the Dr has to cancel the appointment and they try to schedule me out another MONTH! I call back to advocate for myself and my well being and explain that I have had dental trauma and have severe anxiety around dental work (so much so that I usually do dental work under general). I'm on the phone for 22min explaining my anxiety and need for the rotten tooth to come out. They schedule me for the next morning three towns over in Tacoma. Finally some good news... Nope. I get to Tacoma Willamate Dental only to be informed that my visit is an "emergency visit" and that NO nitrous is even available because it's an emergency appt. Even though I had been responsible and set my appt almost TWO MONTHS AGO. And now because my dentist cancelled last minute and the home office didn't think to consider telling them about the conversation where I explain severe anxiety, I have to white knuckle my way through them breaking my tooth And having to drill and pull it out in chunks. I was shaking with anxiety and livid with anger from the visit and got a speeding ticket on my way home. Screw Willamate Dental and their HORRIBLE continuity of care or concern for patients. If they provide those things they certainly didn't to me. Oh yeah, and there was NO conversation about adding bone meal into the socket after the extraction. Didn't think about it until a few hours later when I was able to stop shaking. My intention had been to have posts installed and teeth mounted to the posts. Or at the very least minimize tooth drift in my mouth where I already have two molars extracted and bone meal added. But nope. Not even mentioned as an option.
