There is a good little buffet here with a good variance of assorted pizzas, pastas and salad. ($5.99 Very nice price and a quick in and out during prime lunch times. I went to Dolce's during prime lunch and enjoyed the buffet. The items were fresh and not overcooked and the staff was cordial and accommodating. The full blown menu is pretty extensive here so I wouldn't just call this an exclusive pizza joint. This spot is definitely a full blown Italian restaurant as well. I will return to try out some entrées. I've been here a few times with the hubby and tot and each time the food is very consistent. The fettuccine Alfredo is creamy and hot and has a good garlic flavor. The portion is decent and the prices are decent as well. We have also gotten the gyro wrap which is a great go to wrap when your undecided. The wrap itself is made of a thin pizza dough that's made in house and we love it. The pesto cheese bread is tasty and we both ate it up but be aware if you get heartburn because I unfortunately did, however that won't deter me from getting it again. The pizza was surprisingly very good. It had a crispy crust and the flavor was just good! I don't know how else to describe the delicious little pizza but it was even good when we warmed up the leftovers. The salad that comes with the dinners can use some color and less white onions. Maybe some tomato or change to purple onion would be tastier but that's just my opinion. The service was good. I have noticed that it usually is just one waitress but I've never felt that my service was any less than expected. However the times we have gone the restaurant isn't jam packed, but not empty either. Overall I do recommend this place to try at least once and see if you like it :-) read more

Not impressed! First time eating and the customer service was terrible, the waitress was clueless and poorly trained. We order from this place on a pretty regular basis and their Pizza is very good. The other menu items we have ordered have just been okay. Nothing spectacular. But if you're looking for a good pizza, certainly better than Domino's or Pizza Hut, this is a great place. The delivery is always very fast. We never waited more than 30 minutes. I ordered pizza for my son's 3rd birthday last night. He's a type 1 diabetic, so we rarely get any sort of food out or fast food because of how young and volatile his blood sugars are. Well, they quoted 45 min to an hour, so when an hour passed, I gave him insulin to cover the pizza assuming it would arrive any minute. Half an hour passes and I call and they say they knocked and called with no answer - NOT TRUE. Then the number they listed off wasn't mine, even though they used caller ID to find my account. So they tell me they'll deliver the pizza now and it's been kept warm, but it arrives cold and they offered no discount. At this point, my son's blood sugars are dangerously low and I had to feed him something else anyways. Once his blood sugars get thrown off, he rollercoasters up and down and needs juice and insulin to even out. I was literally up ALL night trying to even him out and he was up crying while I injected him with insulin shot after insulin shot and was forcing juice in his mouth. While his diagnosis and his management of his blood sugar is none of Dolce's concern, it all started because they couldn't deliver the pizza anywhere near the time that they promised. Very good food and super convenient. This location is situated in front of a busy office complex in Jacksonville and is always packed for lunch. The food is excellent for Jacksonville however is average when compared with other pizza shops in more densely populated areas (Jacksonville is the epitome of the deep south). Dolce's is not worth going out of your way to get to however if you are local definitely worth a try. read more

The first time we had the pizza it was just ok. This time it was horrible. I should have read the other reviews first. The sauce is watered down ketchup at best. Been a faithful customer since first week they opened. No more! Twice in last month they have messed up my order, that in itself isnt an issue, everyone makes mistakes. Its what follows thats making me write this review. First time... I get pizzza and its wrong, i called them back and they say they will get right pizza right back out to me, 5 minutes later their driver pulles back up and demands wrong pizza back before they can fix it. Second time.... Today i get wrong pizza again, call them to get it fixed, they tell me i have to TAKE A PICTURE AND SEND IT TO THEM BEFORE THEY CAN FIX IT, then say they are not accusing me of lying? The 1.50 16oz amber bocks pull me in - after a day of fishing. I have strayed from the pizza once to have bruchetta - but it was kind of toasted bread with tomatoes thrown on there - thought it would be more - lots of opportunity to dress that up. Fried Mushrooms were good. They would be smart to get some uniforms for everyone that works there - to give a better look to the staff. This is my new "go to" place. When I find something I like, I stick with it. Me and my wife stop here almost every single Sunday after church. They have a wide variety of foods so you do not get tired of the same thing. The food is ALWAYS fresh and priced well. Service is great and everyone is friendly. Always clean. I also stop by often during the week. I LOVE their Stromboli and now that I am on a diet (due to Stromboli-ha!-not really) I enjoy their grilled chicken salads. You have to give it a try. Whennnnn the moon hitsa your eye like a bigga pizza pie that's...DOLCE's. I could sing this place's praises all day! Hands down THE BEST calzone you're going to find anywhere in Jacksonville (maybe anywhere, period!). Let me tell you why... The crust on this mouth watering masterpiece is light, crispy and flaky. Its not super thick and all dough like so many of it's predecessors. They use REAL cheese! Not that cornstarch covered crap that you buy in bulk and comes in a bag. Let's just say my beau and I ( after a few ridiculously cheap quality beers mind you) decided to see how far we could stretch our cheese. My arm wasn't long enough...no exaggeration! The vegetables are incredibly fresh, you can so tell nothing in this place is frozen. Their meat is just that...real meat, not laden with fillers and God knows what. If it is then it's the best fake meat that has ever met these taste buds. The quality of their ingredients makes a HUGE difference here. The size of this behemoth is a whole 'nother story. It could easily feed two. And for 7.99!! Whaaaaaaaaat (minion voice)?! How they manage to crank out such quality food for such great prices AND keep their doors open is beyond me. This mildly fat girl is not complaining though! I recommend the Mediterranean calzone. It comes stuffed with an abundance of fresh mozzarella, feta, and spinach. I add bacon to mine bc what isn't better with bacon?! The marinara that comes with it is so delish that I always ask for 2. I'm not a huge marinara fan, this however....mmmmmm. It has actual chunks of tomato-y goodness in it with a sweet, spicy kick to it. I adore this place. It almost pains me to say it but....the calzones are so good that they're all I've tried! I can't go there and NOT get one. The manboy and his family swear by their pizza however. The staff is great also. The mister and I were one of those d-bag couples who popped in late one night 15 mins before closing. They didn't pressure, rush or "stank eye" us in the slightest. The italian dishes are very good and well portioned. The pizza has never let me down. I am actually a big fan of the salads - they are well put together and always awesome!
