Everything that we have tried from Dolce so far has been delicious! Shrimp alfredo, eggplant parm, chicken cutlet sandwich, pizza, tortellini, buffalo shrimp, salad, steaks, fries are all a thumbs up from my family! Very friendly and good delivery time.

If I went into Dulce Pizza with a blindfold on and only tasted their food without sight of its surroundings, it would definitely have another star after its name. Yet, blessed with sight, the worn and crumby surfaces and poor condition of the shopping center where it is located, impact my overall impression negatively and detract from what would otherwise be a surprisingly good meal. My first choice for dinner was the place next door, but its kitchen closed at 3 and they were locking up shortly. I saw Dulce and headed over. It looked like any other pizzeria, with pies in the oven and a small dining room with tubular chairs with holes in the seats and crumbs from earlier meals still laying around. This joint would never be mistaken for clean. It somehow reflected the poorly maintained condition of the shopping center, which had some of the largest parking lot potholes imaginable. A few customers were sitting around manging, so I took a chance and asked for an eggplant parmesan dinner with side salad and pasta. I ordered and paid at the cashier and took a seat near the front window to await it's arrival. I wasn't feeling too enthused about what might be coming my way, but I had already paid, so I was committed. The salad came first with balsamic, romaine, tomato, red onion, black olives, cukes and that little plastic tub of dark brown viniagrette. It was cool and fresh. Not great, but not bad. The main platter arrived next with a red sauce covered load of very thin sliced, breaded and sauteed melanzone. The gravy was chunky and seemed to shine in the natural light from the window. I lowered my head to get a wiff of the steaming sauce. Its crushed tomato, garlic and basil aroma forced me back in my chair from its powerful scent. What?! Wait a second. Was there someone in the kitchen who knew from red sauce? Must have been because when I forked that first bite into my mouth, it completely took charge of my taste buds, squeezed them hard, and forced me to involuntarily mutter, "Damn!" It was that exceptional. The eggplant was soft and totally baked, without a hard spot to be found. It tasted like it might have been sauteed twice before reaching the oven. Then I tried the penne aglio olio I had requested rather than spaghetti with more red. It was also very good with a surfeit of sliced garlic throughout and a pool of extra virgin in the bottom of the bowl keeping it hot and dripping. A dusting of black pepper, romano and dried parsley on top provided the finishing note. Also, way better than expected. Of course they forgot the bread to complete my total confounding. What to do when the grub is better than good, but the facility and surroundings cry out for some TLC? Wear a blindfold and eat.

$18.65 for all of that. Never again.

Post note: it's been nine days since my last horrible review I even called again but was put off the Manager again wasn't there out again I guess he was delivering pizza in Tibet I mean he is gone so much tells you a lot of the decline in service. I will say I miss the food it was great but after nine years of loyal patronage and the way I was treated please go to Solly Pizza or Aldo pizza the later worth the pick up only.

This is definitely a case of don't judge a book by its cover. The shopping center Dolce is located in is being renovated and looks terrible at the moment with all the old facades being torn down. The food inside this's place is outstanding and fresh, however. I had a lunch portion of Zuppa di Pesce (seafood pasta) and also grabbed a slice. Both were outstanding as was the homemade side of bread. Definitely recommend this place. The young 33 year old owner is from a restaurant family is knows how to create delicious food. Everything has a homemade taste and look to it. The sauce they make is super tasty and high quality also.

Very good pizza and better than average Italian dishes for primarily a pizza place. I would recommend.

Upon entering, no one acknowledged us to be seated. We had to ask two staff members where to sit. Once seated, the table was cleaned upon some delay with a rag that had a distinct smell that lingered throughout the meal. It took 55 minutes for our meal to arrive. I was able to see on their social media that they cooked the kabobs and karahi fresh. That being said, there should be communication with the guests if it will take that long. It could have been a coincidence but our food came out 5 minutes after we checked in to see what the status of our order is. If you also notice that your guests are not satisfied with the wait time, perhaps offer complimentary appetizers. We ordered the family platter but were not given any utensils too pick up the food with...we ended up using our hands as we already had a laundry list of things to ask for like napkins, an extra plate, more chutney (which we requested during our order). Resham kabob - basically the same kabob, the same salad, the same naan from the family platter. I could have constructed it myself at the fraction of the cost. The sandwich rolls do not come with fries or anything which I think isn't appropriate for the price they are charging. It was also confusing where to order as the place to order for Kabobeesh is in the back of the restaurant. The Karak Chai counter is being used too which is great but further confuses guests. The food seemed like it was coming out of different exits. There are no physical menus at this time, guests have to get up and read the kiosks. The menu online is also very confusing as there is overlap with the pizza location items. Always wanting the nashtaa but never knowing when the cut off time is for ordering it! Adding an extra star than I'd like because there is a prayer room which is wonderful to see. :) The chicken karahi was good per usual but left disappointed otherwise!

We got the chicken korma, which came with juicy chicken thigh meat, cooked in a coconut, cashew, and almond sauce. You could tell the chicken had been marinating in the curry for hours, and it was just so addicting creamy. We also got the saag paneer which is a bit more bitter and earthy, and had so much spinach. Such a nice contrast from the creaminess of the chicken korma, and made for a lighter bite. Wish they had more paneer in it - so yum!! Love a chewy firm tofu like block of cheese. Both entrees come with rice for free!! The Kashmiri naan was absolutely INSANE!! I've never had it, and didn't realize how amazing naan could taste. This was not soft like traditional naan, but rather was crispy and came with nuts, honey in between the layers, and glacé cherries. I don't even like cherries, and I found this insanely good. Could def just eat on its own, especially fresh out of the oven! Our server was really kind and gave us sooo much time to figure out what we wanted to eat. Checked in on us a few times too!

I went for the first time today after seeing a social media ad for their buffet; a couple of my favorite Indian buffets closed down during COVID so I was excited to see a new one open up near Center City. They have their buffet Fri-Sun and I went on a Friday lunchtime and it was pretty quiet. The inside of the restaurant is very polished with white tablecloths and tasteful decor, and the servers are very welcoming and attentive considering that it's a buffet. The selection is a little smaller than other Indian buffets I've been to and doesn't have all the Western Indian restaurant classics (though there is a good butter chicken). But I found the two namesakes of the restaurant - the tandoori chicken kebab and the biryanis - were standouts and had a perfect amount of spice that was noticeable but not too intense. I didn't mind the smaller menu as a tradeoff for good quality, though one request would have been to have a dish with paneer to strengthen the vegetarian offerings and because I just love paneer! I'd also consider switching out some of the fried options like gobi manchurian and pakora for additional curries as the fried stuff just doesn't hold up as well in steam tables. The buffet was $18.99 a person as of the time of writing, which I thought was a very reasonable price for all-you-can-eat food that also tastes great. I'd be willing to come back for sure, especially if they switch up the buffet dishes from day to day and I can try new things!
