I got the strawberry gelato and mango sorbet, and my was it heavenly Smooth quality texture, flavorful, and just so amazing. I had such an uncomfortable experience at this gelato place. The server stared at us when we entered in and didn't have the manners to greet. However, there was another customer who entered and was warmly welcomed. My husband was trying to make a friendly conversation by asking if he's wearing a Boston cap. The response was extremely rude, "Its Barcelona" with an attitude face. I seriously question why these idiots work in customer service. What worsened the experience was when the gelato cup was ready, he tossed it on the counter rather than handing it over to me. Extremely disrespectful!!!!! Learn some manners and treat people with respect if you want to go anywhere in life!! Such an embarrassment for the business and a shame to witness. The girls at the other location were nice and warm unlike this one here! I will never return to this location ever again and I hope the management takes customer service and reviews more seriously!! read more

Great place if you are craving real gelato. They have different options, but my favorite were pistachio and hazelnut, also their chocolate is really tasty. The place is super cozy. There's seating areas inside and outside. The service was great, they offered me samples before I ordered. Loved it! My friends and I went to this gelato place while we were on my bestie's bachelorette trip to Austin. It was so impressive to watch the server serve the gelato especially with the multiple flavors. He was so nice to let us try so many flavors. Everything was so good and it was hard to choose! I ended up going with the Crème Dolce Neve and the Chocolate Sea Salt. They were so creamy and not too sweet which was perfect. The Crème Dolce Neve has a little lemony flavor to it which is great with the rich chocolate. After we got our gelato, we sat at the tables outside since the weather was so nice. They do have indoor seating as well. read more

Happened to come across Dolce Neve when I had dinner nearby (at Industry) with a friend. We decided dessert would be great to complete our meal, and ice cream sounded nice! Luckily for us, DN was just down the street. On a Tuesday evening, there was a steady stream of patrons coming and going. I decided to get the small scoop which came with two flavors. The small size is also quite generous, so if you are not that hungry, you can ask for the kid size which is just one flavor and about $4. For my cup, I got the mascapone matcha with blueberry goat cheese. Both flavors tasted exactly how they were described to be, and the flavors felt super rich and creamy! Halfway through I felt like I had enough, but I couldn't waste it! The guy working the shop that night, who I assume as the owner, said he was from Italy (Perugia), so it was nice to have some "authentic" gelato after not being in Italy for some time! read more

The staff looked like they didn't want to be there, and the interaction between them was tense as if we had walked into a domestic dispute. Not a word said between them. The gelato itself had excellent texture but the flavors were tasteless. I'm impressed by how they could make coffee taste flavorless. I was also charged for one too many items, but that's on me for not double checking their work. read more

Most definitely the best gelato in Austin! It's straight out of Italy..literally! Every time we go for ice cream we talk about trying something new and always end up here. They have some rotating flavors and a few staples. I love the chocolate sea salt and of course stracciatella. This is a cute gelato shop. The cashier was super friendly and patient with my group. We were able to help ourselves to a generous amount of samples until we found our perfect flavors. I had the matcha & mascarpone, chocolate 70%, and coffee flavors. The gelato wasn't overly sweet and was very rich. The only real gelato in downtown Austin! I searched for gelato and noticed the narrow metal tins which the gelato is stored in and told hubs we have to check it out (real gelato isn't presented as large mounds of fluff). We came late in the afternoon and sampled almost all of the flavors. I opted for the Stracciatella (chocolate chip shavings) and the Cassata (ricotta, chocolate chips, and orange peel). These two paired so well together which made for a delightful afternoon treat! In fact, I enjoyed it so much that we went the following day. read more

It was alright. Upon arrival we weren't greeted, and not much was said to us through the transaction. The flavors were fine. There wasn't a line so we were instantly served. Upon walking up to this shop, I found it to be neat and welcoming. I was able to get tastings of different flavors and they were delicious! This was some of the best Gelato I have tasted and they have a variety of flavors. The person that was working was kind and patient with me while I tried a couple of the flavors. They even let me know that I could get 2 flavors in the small that I got. I got the vanilla one and the matcha one but they had other stuff in it. This place is really cute. Service is quick and their gelato is pretty tasty. Always a great spot to hang out with friends or even to people watch. Parking might be tricky during weekend but it's a nice neighborhood to walk if you can't get a spot right there. read more

So we went and we had a guy I don't know his name, but he was out smoking in front of the score and then once we got there right he was really nice with giving us samples and everything but he's not very good with listening to directions, for example we asked for one scoop we asked for one small cup and have two scoops total separated into 2 cups each and said he gave us two small cups which charges like 14 bucks if I want if I wanted four scoops then a large, which is nine bucks so I think it's just stupid read more

Dolce Neve has the best gelato I've ever had the pleasure of enjoying. I'm happy that I randomly came across a YouTube video talking about his food tour experience in Austin. He said that it was the best gelato he's had in America and I completely agree with him 100%. I went with the medium cup and I got three flavors. I got the ricotta,honey and pistachio,organic hazelnut and stracciatella gelatos. All three were delicious. It was $8 for the medium and it's well worth it in my opinion. The ricotta,honey and pistachio gelato was my favorite. The lady that helped me was very friendly and gave me some good suggestions. One of the top dessert places in Austin! The stracciatella here is my favorite flavor as well as their Creme Dolce Neve which has the perfect sweet but lightly tangy taste. I've also tried their pineapple sorbet and coffee flavors which are also great options. I love taking people visiting Austin here because of how freshly all the flavors are made and the local feel of the shop. There's no designated parking here so you'll definitely have to street park or park in a garage nearby. read more

Solid option for dessert. Cute little shop with plenty of seating and plenty of flavors. We got the hazelnut, stracciatella, and chocolate. My fave by far was the stracciatella -- it tasted light and fresh, if a teensy bit icy. The flavors were all surprisingly toned down on the sweetness, which I preferred. $6 a cup for up to two flavors, which was reasonable if slightly higher than I otherwise might prefer to pay. So overall, a good experience (if not life altering)! read more

Hands down, without a doubt, nothing else even comes close, this is the BEST gelato I've had in Austin. And I've tried a LOT of gelato shops here. What I love about Dolce Neve is that their gelato is so light & fluffy (as gelato is meant to be), not heavy like ice cream. Their flavors are absolutely divine, subtle & bright. My favorite is the Crema Dolce Neve, a cloud-like custard gelato with lemon zest that's like a beautiful burst of sunshine in my mouth. But like the good kind of sunshine, on a crisp, cool 55 degree autumn day. Not the oppressive, humid, disgusting Texas summer kind of sunshine. Last but certainly not least, Dolce Neve makes a damn fine affogato, 3 scoops of gelato (I get mine with Madagascar Vanilla) with hot coffee poured over the top. The gelato slowly melts into the coffee, resulting in the fluffiest, yummiest cream topping you can imagine. read more

Love the pineapple sorbet and pistachio gelato. Both were phenomenal, especially the pineapple. You could tell it was fresh and made with real fruit. This location had a lot more flavors available then the other location that I visited the day before. So glad I got to try the pineapple because it was my favorite. Server was friendly and nice, wasn't stingy on the scoop. Lots of open tables to sit at. I managed to find street parking a block away and it was a Sunday so the parking was free. read more

I've enjoyed their original location and recently tried this location! They get their gelato delivered every morning from the original location. It was creamy and delicious, not overwhelmingly sweet. Had a chance to try Dolce Neve when in the downtown area and I was not disappointed. We ended up walking into this store since we were craving some dessert and this place ended up hitting the spot! Nice gelato spot in East Austin!! Tucked away although in plain sight...possibly because not much traffic in or around shop. Had to call to ensure were open (glass windows slightly tinted so appears closed). Cute little spot love the plants. Server was extremely nice and welcoming. Allowed me to sample multiple flavors. Flavors were a bit too "foo-foo" for me. I really wanted a rich deep chocolate but not available. Settled on Madagascar vanilla and whiskey pecan. Pretty good. read more

When I arrived here, the attendant got as excited as I was and walked me through the entire menu gave me all of their popular flavors and his personal suggestions. He was so patient and offered us free samples for gelato flavors per person so between my fiancé and I we were able to try every single flavor that was on their menu. I went there to get the limited edition Yuzu cheesecake flavor, but ended up with the banana show you instead because it was just that much better. I highly recommend going here and trying out your version of favorite. They had some incredible flavors like black, sesame, pineapple cake, Texas sheet cake, mango sticky rice.

From the first bite we were in heaven. The flavor is very thorough which is not always the case for Italian ices where it can sometimes be a bit muted. Every single bite of this was packed with flavor. They also carve out a bit of the middle to put the condensed milk which makes every bite much more equal than if it was just placed at the top. This was by far one of, if not the best, Italian ices we've ever had. We would very much recommend it to anyone in the Downtown area looking to cool off.
