The young girl that serviced Abby was kind and detailed. Bath and nail trim took about 1 hr and 1/2 she called promptly as Abby was ready to go. Price is what is expected and she removed all the extra hair, nails she cut first and then grinded. Abby was a happy girl smelled nice n fresh.

But now I'm also a dog person so I guess I'm just an animal person in general. (All animals, that is--been a veggie girl for over a solid decade now. :) I digress. So, much earlier in this year (January, I think?), we decided to "fospice" a senior beagle with malignant melanoma (shout out to Lulu's Locker Rescue for saving this sweet girl from a high kill shelter in downstate Illinois). We wound up creating a bucket list for her (ever hear of Live Like Roo? Check them out!) and then wound up adopting her and, well, we're all obsessed. *insert heart eyes here* One of Brandy's bucket list items (ps - her IG is @brandy.the.beagle, just FYI) was a "spa day": a morning or afternoon of straight up pampering. Enter The Grooming Studio. Listen, if you catch an opportunity to get in on the client list (seriously--Erin is so ridiculously booked she's not always accepting new clients, so keep an eye on her Facebook page), POUNCE ON THAT. Because here's the thing: she's the best. Period. The end. I mean...I could stop the review right now because that's all you need to know. But as I'm perpetually longwinded, I have more to say. :) Erin, knowing this was a bucket list item, got Brandy in ASAP and made the experience start-to-finish amazing for our sweet girl. Not only was it professionally photographed (more on that in a bit), but there were treats, she had her nails painted, she received the cutest bow I still have, she came home happy as a clam, smelling delicious, and looking fabulous. And best of all...I could *tell* she felt good. Really good. We took our late, great Beagle (yes, she too was a beagle) to several different groomers and it was almost always a bust. You can tell when someone treats your dog as they would treat their own; there truly is NO better than Erin. So grateful for Erin's warmth and kindheartedness; she will forever have a place in our hearts for the sweetness she showed our beloved Brandy. Trust me when I say that not all groomers are the same; in short, there's Erin...and then there's everyone else (*that's* how incredible she is). Ten million, billion stars, for real. I brought him to Pooches and Purrs a few years ago and we have been return customers since, and travel close to an hour for the experience of great care and styles! Carl, my Persian, is always so happy when he is being dropped off and picked up. He is always styled to impress at pick up and smelling amazing! All the girls that work there treat us like family! However, once I got home I noticed the inprofections all over. His coat and face were cut close to his skin in spots and extremely uneven all over. I specifically said I didn't want to see skin. His face and ears were awful lacking uniformity. Also, the dog is white, obviously they didn't use whitening shampoo. His coat now has a yellow tint. He gets groomed monthly, wiped down daily and brushed weekly so he's being taken care of at home. I was looking for someplace outside of big box groomers and learned the shop was under new owners. So I gave them a try. Haven't decided if I'll go back it's a lot of money for subpar work.

My Willow is an 11mo old puppy and this was a wonderful experience. She looked absolutely beautiful! What a warm welcome we got when we walked in, everyone was nice and my Willow loved Lynette. She took the time to really give her an amazing grooming from head to toe. My Willow was so clean and had a beautiful haircut. So happy we have a groomer for life! My first visit, I had to LITERALLY carry my 55 lb dog in because he was so afraid of the vet... the second time we went, I could hardly contain his excitement to get through the doors! Every visit is pure joy for him, even if he's getting shots or nail trims. I had to have a dog put down a few weeks ago, and I have never experienced better bedside care from a veterinary practice. Yes, they are a tad higher fee-wise, but so worth it knowing my babies always get good care from all staff!

The doctors relay on techs too much and I had to contact tech to get message to doctor. Had an emergency with my girl and could not see Mottel for 7 days Had to use Marco the following day. My girl Hates her.. Marco was rough and my baby tried to bite her 2 times. They took texts.. Make long story short, she over medicated her I took her off and was better in 2 days...and I told them so.. one week later Marco contacted me through texting asking how she was doing and if the symptoms come back to contact her. Yeah Right!! The front desk clerk is an IDIOT! What is said here is solely what I had experienced and never want to again!
