Anne Willis, Dogs Finding Dogs, seemed helpful in the beginning. Once you make your donation, she stops communicating with you. I told her how my pet has been seen on camera for a week almost 2 months after he's gone missing and I needed additional help because the traps aren't working. I was desperate because the temperatures are dropping and he isn't used to winter weather. I sent her his location compared to where my house is and nothing. Maybe if I sent more than the $75 donation she would have gotten back to me.... I should also mention I have a $500 reward for his return, I would have gladly given it all to them if they helped my get him home. read more

I made the donation to help find my cat that went missing. I got Corinne and Ragar as my tracker and they found the exact spot he was hiding! Underneath the back deck and he must've been too scared to come out before. Very talented trackers and highly recommended! A non-profit service that wanted me to pay $262 to find my cat... I really wanted to go for it bc I was desperate find him, but something seemed suspicious, $262? That's more than gas mileage for the handler and dog to and from my house, which was $62 of the $262. The rest was a vague explanation of compensation in the form of a mandatory "donation" to the handlers and the organization for operating costs (it's operated out of a woman's house). I get that any organization has overhead expenses, but this felt like being taken advantage of as a desperate pet owner. read more

Feel like we got scammed after paying almost $400 for the dog to walk our neighborhood and the lady wouldn't let her dog go where he wanted she kept turning him around and the dog would look backing knowing where it wanted to go..she stayed with us 1 hour and did nothing didn't retry a lead. We feel as if we're scammed when their website says "We will stay with you until your pet is found" we had faith one last time and spent all this money for nothing, we're truly heartbroken! read more

A friend recommended this organization to me after our sweet cat went missing. I didn't even know groups like this existed. The scheduler was so kind and encouraging, and the stats indicated many success stories, and an over 90% success rate in finding a lost pet. First off, I don't have a problem paying for a service, whether it's called a "fee" a "cost" or a "donation" (as this company calls it). Having a service costs something, and I think the donation rate we were given for a dog trainer and a K9 tracker was likely fairly reasonable. Based on the behavior/actions of the dog in following the scent of our cat, I believe we were likely able to narrow our search area, and I have now done the recommended action items to lure our cat home. However, I do not have great faith that our cat will actually come home, and I do not believe that Dogs Finding Dogs is actually interested in whether my cat comes home. I highly doubt that there will be any follow up from them or a new search, or additional assistance in finding our cat. They sent the dog, the dog sniffed around, gathered information and narrowed our search area, and that's it. I do not have great hope that we will be a success story or a testimonial on their website, and I'm glad we didn't spend any more money than we did. Use Dogs Finding Dogs at your own discretion if you are willing to spend $200 to $300 to get your lost pet back, but know that it will primarily be your own efforts doing so, by putting into place the ideas that the dog trainer gives you after a half hour sniff session by their dog. read more

I found Dogs finding Dogs through someone on Facebook. I was so excited that there might be a chance to find my lost cat. I felt hope, at least until I made the phone call to them. First you need to understand that I had already spent over $200 on flyers, and paid lost animal websites with no results. Once I got them on the phone they said that the "recommended donation" was $260, and then $29 per mile the dog and handler searched. I said that I cant afford that amount, however she didn't offer to work with me on the "donation" if you can call it that on this first phone call. I was already in a state of shock due to the unknown of if my cat was hurt, dead, or stolen. I felt that I had no choice but to pay the donation to find my baby. I called them back and said I only had 160 amount in my bank account, and its all I could afford. They said that they would allow me to pay that amount. At that point I thought that things were looking up, and had hope again. They took my payment, but waited 3 days to come out. Not only that, but the day they came out the wind was so bad that, after some research I found out that wind like that makes it extremely hard for a dog to track the sent. The handler took the dog, and put him next to the blanket with my cats sent on it. The dog didn't show interest in it very much, However I knew next to nothing about how a tracking dog worked at that moment so I assumed that it was no issue. The tracker and dog went about 200 feet in on direction, and then 250 in the other. While watching the dog it seemed as if it had no idea what it was doing. It was as if the dog was hyper and was going for a walk. At one point she said "your cat is really close" and of course I was elated and so excited. She then said that she didn't want to scare the cat and run it off. I said that It wouldn't. That he was raised with 3 dogs and wouldn't be scared. Then as fast as it started she was done. She said that I should put out traps, and a feeding station. Nothing that I didn't already know. Nothing that was special or not common sense. I didnt hear from her for 2 weeks! She kept telling me what my cat was doing. Not caring that I KNOW MY CAT. I have had him for 7 years, and news flash I know his habits. But she didn't want to hear it. She did however tell me she could come out for $50 dollars. Again using my emotional state to try to EXTORT more money out of me. She has called me 3 times in 38 days. Telling me to do the same crap as before almost fishing for another payment for a re/track. Use at your own risk. This is NOT a nonprofit. They made a large profit of of me and used the fact that I was torn apart and scared to steal my money. When I called the director to complain, they had the nerve to have the same woman that came out call me. As I sit here writing this, with tears in my eyes, I realize that at day 53 of him missing that I may never see him again. It gets colder every night, and Im terrified that he will die, without anyone to be there for him. They used me. They are heartless, and use this as a business. And business is good when someone is in distress. I recomend that if they have done this to you, make sure that you file a complaint with the BBB. I will also be looking into to reporting them as a false non profit. The tracker told me she would find my cat, and that he was very close within 20-40 feet of us hiding. She lied, and on top of that took money for a service NOT RENDERED. How could anyone do that to someone and sleep the same night. I hate them for what they did to me. I was told by them not to search because my he might smell me and move away from the area. THEY STOLE weeks from me, weeks that I could have used to look for him. Now what do I do? I cant get back those weeks, and now I may never see him again............ read more

We had the unpleasant experience of being duped by these women! I paid $240 to a "not for profit" outfit that said they would have their dog find our cat who was lost out in this horrible winter for 3 1/2 weeks. After contacting them and giving them a check for $240 to secure the services of a dog who is supposed to be able to take us right to the spot where our cat was hiding we waited for the weather to break so that they could safely bring the dog out to track our cat. When they finally brought the dog out they spent no more than 20 minutes letting the dog try to find a scent of our cat. The dog really just wanted to play and roll around in the snow and her handler just wanted to leave. We asked that they also bring the dog down to the only area that our cat was truly sighted more than a week before their visit and when the handler saw that there was a police car parked in the private drive where we wanted the dog to search she refused to bring the dog down there. Well two weeks later our poor little kitty ran into a garage ONE house away from where we wanted the dog to try to get on his scent. He could have been spared 2 MORE WEEKS in this frigid weather. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE save yourself a lot of heartache and DO NOT use this "service" to find your lost pet. By the way, there was supposed to be a contract that I was supposed to sign, never saw it! They were also supposed to send a receipt as their services are supposedly tax deductible as they are "not for profit", still have not received it 3 weeks later! read more

My dog got out of our house on Saturday afternoon. We were out searching for her all day and night with no luck. On Sunday, we heard that she had been spotted on Saturday afternoon, but when we searched for her, we still couldn't find any signs of her. While we were searching, we ran into another neighbor whose dog was also missing with a Dogs Finding Dogs volunteer, Carmen and the hound, Jake. We knew immediately that we would like them to help us track our dog. She gave me her information and I went online to request her help. Within 45 minutes, Carmen called me and met me at my house. We went to the last known sighting and once Jake sniffed our dog's toy, he was off. We walked in a 3 mile circle from that spot. Jake got heavy activity in a few areas; one in a park, by power lines, and in an apartment complex. All of these spots were relatively close to one another. We didn't find her, but we had a very good idea of the area that she was in. We posted tons of flyers around the areas where Jake caught her scent, and the next morning we received a call from someone who lived in the apartments. Our dog was back at home 5 minutes later. We were amazed by how well Jake tracked our dog. The strong scent that he got from the apartments was 10 feet from the apartment building that she was in! Carmen and Jake were amazing. Yes, they ask for a recommended $200 donation, but it was well worth it to have my family member back. read more

We had little hope of finding our frail little 17 year old, demented corgi chihuahua in the terrible January weather. Dogs Finding Dogs reached out to my daughter who had posted on Facebook. In less than 24 hours, they were at my house, ready to find my puppy. I too had the fabulous Jake leading the search with Carmen and Jenn. As we went along, they were able to show me where Mikey had been and they were pretty sure that he was alive and uninjured. Within about an hour and a half, he was back in our arms after being lost for 60 hours. I found the team to be knowledgeable and very professional, and I'm so sorry for the people who didn't get as good a team as I had. Please do not waste your money !! They are scam artists, they pray on people that are desperate. I lost my gabby almost 2 years ago I posted all over Facebook and Craig's list. I was given dogs finding dogs information by a anonymous tip. I contacted them and the women told me it will be 250.00 for her service but she guarantees that her dog will pick up on my cats scent . She came and asked for the money upfront, when we began the dog just walked around and played I kept asking her if the dog has a scent and she kept ignoring my question. After walking around one block she said "well I don't know I don't see any sign of her" she then handed me a magnet and said call me if any one spots her in the neighborhood and we can try again. I got a tip from a neighbor that they seen her 2 days later and I called dogs finding dogs and they acted like they never spoken to me before, I was so heartbroken, they had taken advantage of the live I had for my cat. I please hope I save at least one person from this heartache please do not put your hope in their hands !!!! What they are doing should be a crime ! And they no it !!! read more
