Bonus: John always gets some cute pics too.

As he settled in my home, he became increasingly aggressive towards other people -- friends, family, and strangers alike, whether in the home or outside of the home. Sully was even aggressive towards my husband, and it felt like I was at a loss. I needed to do something before he actually ended up hurting someone. After explaining what was happening with Sully with the organization I was fostering from, they said they would need to put him down for the safety of the community. I couldn't let that happen, so I decided to keep him and find professional help. This is where John came in. After doing research online, I came across his Yelp page, where there were raving reviews of him helping aggressive dogs, so I took a chance. On his first day meeting John, Sully growled, hissed, and lunged at John. Sully tried to bite both him and me. John spent about an hour with me explaining what was going to happen and some training basics, and honestly, it was hard for me to focus because I was so nervous of Sully hurting someone in the moment. John was very patient, and showed me 5x how to hold a leash properly because I just couldn't focus from nervousness. I've never seen Sully so aggressive, and John explained it's because it was the first time someone was checking him and keeping him in his place. Sully stayed with John for a little over two weeks, and in that time, they went on ADVENTURES. I mentioned to John that Sully was afraid of water, aggressive with strangers, and other very specific things, and John made sure to tackle all of them. He sent me pictures and videos of his adventures throughout their time together. They went on a ferry, hiked to a waterfall, and so so much more. When there was a concern or something to celebrate, John was sure to communicate with us what was going on. In addition, due to personal circumstances, we needed to have Sully stay with John a few more days, and John was so understanding and accommodated us. I finally have my sweet boy back, and I see so much of a difference. He is calmer, more responsive, and he's running through my sprinklers now. LOL. It still takes him a bit to warm up to other people, but he's not as on guard or on edge as he was before. I'm excited to continue his progress at home, and I'm sure we will see John and Sara for future stays! Here are just a few of my favorite pictures of his adventures with John and Sara. :)

My name is Stella. I am an 18 month old Labradoodle. I came to live with my new family when I was…read moreonly eight weeks old. I soon learned that I could do whatever I wanted to do and I could make all the rules in household. I could nip at my owners ankles, hands, arms and whatever I could get close to. Sometimes I even drew blood. I thought this was fun. I barked whenever I wanted to, which was most of the time. If the door opened I would run outside and not come back even if I was called, it was great fun. My owners decided to send me to Stephanie for boot camp training. I was only 14 weeks old and didn't really want to go. Even though I was totally in charge of my household I agreed with my owners to spend two weeks with Stephanie. The first thing I learned was to only bark when it was really important. I learned to sit, stay, and heel. I learned how to walk on a leash in public without jumping on people, barking at people, or snapping and barking at other dogs. It turned out that Stephanie was really cool. She never yelled at me or hit me. Instead when I did something right she would love on me and pet me and tell me what a good girl I am. While I thought I would miss my owners being away for two weeks from home, the two weeks went really fast. When they came to pick me up I was really proud To show them everything that I learned. The couple of weeks later Stephanie came to my owners home to teach me "perimeter training". Of course I learned this really fast given the fact that I am now a smart girl with a college education. I would give Stephanie a five star rating. She is the best. I would like to go back and see her again and maybe even stay some time with her but I seem to know everything there is to know already. My owners call me the best dog ever! My owners just bought another Labradoodle. His name is Tucker and he's a big brute but he is only nine months old. He's just like I was, he thinks that he makes the rules. I am trying to talk my owners into sending Tucker to Stephanie so he can learn everything that I Already know. Stella the Labradoodle

Tony completely changed my life. I cannot sing his praises enough. Before working with him, I felt…read morelike training my dog, KB, was a lost cause. I had previously tried Board and Train programs at Sit Means Sit twice, but they didn't help with KB's anxiety at all. Tony was a completely different experience. What sets Tony apart is how thorough he is. He didn't just give commands; he constantly explained the "why" behind KB's behaviors. He was also incredibly supportive of me, helping me work through my own fears and nervousness. Because of his guidance, I can now actually play box with KB without the fear that he'll suddenly react toward me. We covered so much ground, including: * Command & Muzzle Work: Building a foundation of safety and communication. * Boundaries: KB used to be glued to my side whenever I answered the door. Now, he can stay calmly on the couch while I greet someone, and he stays indoors even when I go through the patio door. * Safety & Care: Tony was always so accommodating with scheduling. If it was too hot for an outdoor session, he would proactively suggest changing it for KB's safety. If you feel stuck or overwhelmed with your dog's behavior, go to Tony. He turned everything around for us, and I'm so grateful for the confidence he's given both me and KB.

An additional level of assurance is their health guarantee of no genetic health issues within the first year of the dog's life. Kelly, the owner of Riverdoodles, is great with her communication. She is very good about keeping everyone updated about their soon to be puppies, as well as providing information to help make the puppies transition to their new homes smooth. It's clear that she cares for all her dogs, and take great care of them. We were fortunate to take home a mini multigen goldendoodle who we named Kirby. We couldn't have asked for a better dog. His first visit to the vet, the doctor told us he's in perfect health and will be very easy to train. She was certainly right! Kirby only had accidents in our house the first few days with us, then he immediately knew to only go in our backyard. He's brought us so much joy, and we would highly recommend Kelly and Riverdoodles to anyone looking for a goldendoodle (ps. they also have bernedoodles).

We were so happy with everything that we decided to progress further by sending her to his 2 week boot camp at 16 months old. When I asked why such a good dog would go to boot camp, Vladae responded with, "Same reason that the smartest kids go to university, to become all they can be and hone their skills." That made sense to me! If it was any other boot camp I would have been nervous about my baby. I know how well Vladae treats his campers though and his focus on health and exercise. It honestly brought back the feeling of being a first-time parent--questioning every decision, but without a nurse hotline for guidance. My husband and I were especially struggling with how to manage Chloe around our young kids. She was very unruly, reactive on walks, and difficult to control around other dogs. We found SoCal Dog Training through a friend's referral, and choosing Vladae ended up being one of the best decisions we've made. I'll admit, I was skeptical at first--so many trainers promise results--but Vladae truly delivers. The onboarding process was seamless. The initial FaceTime consultation helped set clear expectations, and I really appreciated how upfront and honest he was about the work required. What stood out most to me was his long-term commitment--knowing I could always come back for refreshers gave me a lot of confidence that I wasn't just getting a short-term fix. The training sessions are where the transformation really happens. After each session, it genuinely felt like we had a new dog--but that's also where the responsibility comes in. You have to consistently follow through with the exercises he gives you. In many ways, it reminded me that investing in my dog's future takes the same consistency and commitment as investing in my two kids. She's now quite literally my third kid. Chloe used to be extremely reactive--barking, pulling on the leash, and even jumping up on our toddlers. Vladae helped me understand the root of her behavior and showed me how to properly address it. Now she's calm, more confident, and walking her has become something I actually enjoy. Seeing that transformation has been incredibly rewarding. It wasn't an easy process, but it was absolutely worth it. Also, a special shout-out to Antonina for being so kind, responsive, and accommodating with scheduling.
