She squeezed me in for a puppy wash, cut, nails etc.. 11:30am ( perfect, on my day off) She was kind to call me 20 mins in advance to give me a heads up to pick up. I felt she did a pretty good job. My puppy is 5 months old and this was her first professional grooming... I have taken her to the self pet wash about 3x in the past. Lorena explained to me that Vela did not like the blow dryer at all... she is correct! Vela hates the blower! The only thing that bothered me a bit was that her ears didn't look like it's cleaned.l will make sure to address this the next time and probably would like her mouth area, chin cleaned a bit better bc the area gets dirty so quickly. I didn't address any of these matters. I will make a note and express the next visit.

I was texted by the company on 5/11 if I wanted to book an appointment and I responded yes. No answer. Flash forward to this week trying to follow up with text messages, calls with voicemails, and even Instagram messages ( which are left on read with no response). Still nothing. When I try to book an appointment online it restricts me from booking, but my friends are able to when they create accounts. I don't know what happened to deserve this kind of treatment and if something did happen a conversation would have sufficed. I've now seen several reviews of this company ghosting their clients and it's absolutely disgusting. TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE!

I believed I was doing so and the puppy I was waiting for was adopted right out from under me. I have many messages between us specifying which animal I was waiting to adopt. Yet still it was adopted by someone else. There was no sense of remorse for ruining my birthday present, nor was there any remorse , more importantly, for their error. I was told to come and pick another one like it was no big deal. For me it was a big deal because I already had chosen a name for the puppy and purchased many items for that specific puppy I felt a connection with. I do not want anyone else to be treated in this harsh, uncaring way. I do not want anyone else to go through the same pain. I think what is the most hurtful is their inability to take responsibility for their error and the heartache it has caused. They simply maintained focus on some set of notes they had filled with misinformation that I was able to prove it was misinformation with photos from our thread of mesages. That in itself represents their irresponsibility and concern for client feelings I am hoping this improves their responsibility to the commitments they make, as well as the accuracy of the notes they maintain. I hope they learn to return to message threads to review the conversations they hold. These conversations contain needed information for the adoptions they conduct. I hope they learn how to rectify their mistakes and admit to them. This is a fabulous way to earn people's respect and confidence in their ability to maintain a rescue.

I have been a loyal customer for over 20 years, and until now, I've always trusted the care and professionalism they have provided. I had a 12:00 noon appointment for my small dog, and under normal circumstances, grooming has taken between 2 to 3 hours. At drop-off, I was told this visit might take closer to 4 hours -- which, while longer than usual, I accepted. However, I was shocked when it ultimately took 6 hours and 20 minutes before my dog was ready. This extended time is unacceptable, especially for a small dog who cannot comfortably go that long without food or a break. I raised my concerns at pickup and requested a refund or partial credit, but instead was told that the long delay was due to the care and time they take with each dog. While I ABSOLUTELY appreciate quality grooming, this SHOULD be factored into how appointments are scheduled. Leaving a dog for over six hours without clear communication or updates is both inconsiderate and, frankly, irresponsible. I expected more from a business I've supported for two decades. Unfortunately, based on this experience and the lack of accountability, I've decided I will not be returning.

I was driving down larkfield road in Northport during a lunch break, looked to my left and there it was, a big sign stating PET ZONE: DOG AND CAT GROOMING. On another occasion, I stopped in to get the lay of the land. In the back was owner and groomer, Alex, at work with a white poodle, grooming away. I made an appointment and brought my cat back the following week. His fees aren't exorbitant, but his patience is. During the grooming, we chatted. Alex said he's been at this location since 2004!!!! My cat, Hannah, fidgety during most of it, but basically tolerant, looked beautiful once done. What I love about Alex is that he allows you to stay with your animal during the groom. I was so appreciative of this. I've been to one other groomer ($200!. Never again) who didn't allow me to stay with Hannah. I didn't like that. Another groomer wanted to sedate her. What!!! NOPE!! Next. Another groomer wanted her uptodate on all the vaccinations. While that maybe important in some instances, who cares about that? Just groom my cat. My vet doesn't groom. He only brushes. I NEED HER GROOMED!!! Alex groomed her and clipped her nails. Fifty-five dollars plus tip. One hour later, we were out the door. Now this Pet Zone location isn't pretty. Unfortunately, the haircut was poorly done. Our dog's hair was uneven and had no shape. Maybe the groomer rushed through the process. We brought him back to fix what was wrong, but we will have to wait for his hair to grow in. Based on our experience, you'd be better off going elsewhere.
