I have tried most of the groomers in the area. Bark Bath & Beyond is far the best. My dog would pull away from the door of the other groomers. He would tremble when I left him. Now he pulls me toward the door. His tail is wagging. He absolutely loves Joe. His grooming is superb. Gatsby looks like a show dog when I pick him up. read more

Took my Golden Retriever for the first time to Bark bath & Beyond and it was a great experience. The owner is very knowledgeable and friendly. He had an instant rapport with Zoe and gave me advice about the best tick product to keep Zoe healthy. When I came to pick her up she looked the best I've ever seen her! He really cleaned up her look and I highly recommend this business. read more

Took my 2 female shepherds to Joe back in August, he had me scheduled for later in the month but a spot opened up sooner in the second week of the month and I was able to bring one of my females in first. Joe contacted me ahead of time prior to the appointment to let me know and overall he took great care with grooming my dogs. I have a puppy I will be bringing him in for a bath soon. I can whole heartedly vouch for Bark, Bath and Beyond, they do great work! Thank you again Joe!! read more

I saw the last review said "joe was easy to book with" How? How is this even a business option when there's no appointments available "EVER"? Also no appointments for new customers. Great service but, this business shouldn't be an option on Yelp. read more

Words can't express how amazing Joe and his employees are. My dog can be difficult, but yet he treated him with nothing but love. When we went to pick him up, my dog seems to have attached to him. This is what my dog looked like before and after. I highly recommend this groomer, they've been the best one we've found since we moved to Suffolk. It's worth the wait for an appointment. You will be thrilled with the results. Joe is such a mild manner and calm person, which helps soothe your pet. He smells so yummy and still does. read more

I brought my dog Thor here for a bath, nails, ear cleaning, and teeth brushing. I am glad to have found this place! He took wonderful care of my dog (who is an anxious pup when getting groomed). He treated Thor with much care and respect, washing him with special medicated shampoo due to Thor's allergies, and after the Moroccan treatment, Thor looks and smells wonderful. I was shocked that this groomer was so affordable, given the service we received. read more

I've been bringing my 4 year old Cane Corso to Bark Bath & Beyond since he's been a puppy and there's not enough great things that I can say about them. Milo shows up happy to see Joe each time and leaves just as happy. He smells amazing for such a long time, and for an extra large dog you can beat the prices. As if he didn't look cute enough leaving there, they always send him home with a bandana on. read more

Bark bath and beyond is the best place to bring your pets. Joe the owner is soo good and has a real talent. I've been bringing my shitzu, Kira, for about two years now and it's always a great job. With previous groomers my dog would always be nervous and scared going. However, when I bring him to Joe he's always excited to see him. Kira practically leaps out of the car to get his hair done and spend time with his buddy. My dog absolutely loves him and you can tell he treats him very well. Joe is very responsive and will let you know right away if he has availability. The prices are fair for the quality service we get. His new place is clean and very close. The haircut is always an A plus. Kira comes out looking like a little stud teddy bear complete with a bandanna. He looks and smells great. The nails get clipped and absolutely no scars or scratches on my furry child. I would recommend to friends and family. I will post photos on his next grooming. read more

Joe was easy to book with - I just wanted my dogs toes trimmed and a bath. He squeezed me in next day. I got there promptly at 9 AM so did he and an associate. He was kind with my dog and he worked with her on calming down (she runs anxious). I asked for pricing and it was decent for Long Island, I thought. I have a hard time leaving my dog behind, after reading all Joes positive reviews (42) I felt she was in good, reliable hands. He had told me it'll take approx 2 hours and within 1.5 hours she was ready. Joe had called my cell to let me know. Upon arrival, I saw she looked so clean and her paws were trimmed so well. She was light and fluffy and smelled good. Thanks to Joe & his business! read more

Searched for local groomer and was not disappointed. Joe squeezed our puppy in last minute on a Saturday afternoon. Joe was professional and friendly. Our 14 week old puppy Bo was not scared to be left to get groomed. Safety protocols were followed. He was treated to a Moroccan oil treatment and treats to make him more comfortable. We will definitely be back again. See photo for cuteness and seasonal bandanna. read more

Joe is amazing! I found him through a recommendation on Sachem Moms Facebook group after the groomer I had been going to for 6 years closed. Joe is always quick to get back to me to book an appointment, he's super friendly and has superb customer service! I forgot I had an appointment today after confirming last night and he called to remind me after the fact and squeezed me in. My Shepherd Husky mix sheds like crazy so I get her deshedded, nails trimmed and teeth wiped. Joe and his employees take their time (which is perfect for cleaning the house) and put care into what they do. They send my girl home smelling like a bouquet of flowers with a beautiful bandana! He gives her a treat when she arrives and leaves, she's always so happy to be there. When we get home, she loves to race into the house to show my husband (her daddy) how beautiful she looks. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Joe and this establishment. Highly recommend. read more

To the people who left the 1 & 2 star reviews because they couldn't get an appointment because they were full, SHAME ON YOU! Why would you give a low rating to someone who would otherwise have a perfect 5 star rating because you couldn't get in. When you post a review based on your excellent service out your very poor service that's one thing but when you post a bad review e when you never even received service because you couldn't get in the door because this business is doing everything right , that is just petty. Do you know how many business's suffer from uncalled for bad reviews?! I would love to get my Maggie into BB&B but if they aren't taking new customers I'm not gonna be spiteful and put a bad mark on his business. To Joe, though I don't know you I admire you for not taking on too many dogs and keeping them in cages for hours while rushing through and not giving each dog the care they should be receiving. My dog is traumatized each time she goes to the groomer after being caged for 5 hours, that's why I'm on here looking for a caring groomer. Tired of paying $140.-$160. for mediocre service, the last time they didn't even trim and clean her feet or cut her nails and she comes home miserable after being caged for so long. So kudos to you for not overbooking! To the people who left those bad reviews, don't mark his business because you couldn't get in, many restaurants on here have waiting lists that are over a year or more and they still have a right to be here and be rated. I can't get in either but I'm happy for this business that they're doing so well I'm not going to put a bad mark on their name! Do the right thing and edit the stars in your ratings. read more

Again, Joe has proven why he has such great reviews. Having been a dog owner for decades, I've been to a number of groomers. Truly, Joe stands out as the best of the best. Both my dogs looked beautiful and happy when I arrived and there was no "post-groomer blues" as I have seen after their visits to other shops. Joe is the best! read more

We did a lot of research before making an appointment with Joe and were so happy we went with him! Joe was friendly, knowledgeable, and gave our dood the perfect haircut. I spoke with the owner a few times to try and get my mother-in-law's dog in for a grooming. Bark Bath and Beyond is a busy place and that means they are doing things right. :) Haven't yet been in for an appt but this review is based on the responsiveness of the owner and the fact that he has called me a few times trying to squeeze me in when he's had cancellations. I appreciate this even if it didn't work out. That folks, is how you run a business. Good customer service!! Update: We were finally able to get Oliver (mother-in-law's dog) in for grooming shortly after I wrote this review and I forgot to come back and update you all. One word: AWESOME!! The guy who runs this grooming shop is a gem. I didn't think Oliver could be any cuter and then he got his haircut. I have some pictures I'll upload. He looked adorable, smelled great, his long nails were clipped and he was HAPPY. You could tell he was just thrilled in the way he pranced around the living room showing off. That tells me he had a good experience with his hair cut and wasn't traumatized. Thank you Bark Bath & Beyond. read more

We brought our two chihuahua/terrier mix puppies to this place for the first time and I can't say enough great things about the service we received! The owner, Joe, was friendly and helpful on the phone when I called to make the appointment. He was also extremely apologetic that they didn't have an opening for a few weeks. I actually thought it was a great sign that I had to wait a few weeks to get an appointment...I assumed they must be well-liked! I understand now why they are worth the wait! Our previous grooming experience was a nightmare so I was a bit nervous to try a new place! Joe exceeded ALL of our expectations and we will ABSOLUTELY be coming back for our next appointment! Joe has our terrier thrilled to be groomed, and our 2 big dogs now consider him a friend as well. He's great with any of them, despite the 8-year-old's shyness, and they look great when they leave. I recently had my 10 month old retriever groomed by Joe. It was our dogs first hair cut, so we did some research on local breeders to ensure our pup had a good experience (we have not been happy with hair cuts other local groomers have given our older retriever & wanted to try somewhere new). At Bark Bath & Beyond we had a great experience from start to finish. The groomer Joe greeted us and introduced himself to our pup. Gave him some treats and took a look at what hair needed to be cut. We explained what we wanted done and asked for any recommendations he could offer. By the end of the conversation, we felt comfortable leaving our little pup and his hair in Joe's hands. About 4 hours later we were there to pick up our Ollie. He was excited to see us, tail wagging, smelt great, and his hair was soft and trimmed perfectly! Joe added a Moroccan oil treatment which smelt and felt so nice on his coat. Overall we were very happy with the service we received here and are looking forward to bringing both of our dogs back for their next cut and wash! Thank you Bark Bath & Beyond! read more

Absolutrly done with this island. This was the 3rd groomer I have called to get an appt for my dogs and now I am fed up -a groomer that doesn't have anything for new clients unless someone cancels so that means nothing ever bc new customers aren't going to be able to just wait by the phone, plus the shop isn't going to advertise cancelations to clients they don't have yet. No appts for new clients available which means it's all setup for existing long term clients. I was so excited to find what seemed to be a responsibly run business but who schedules like this - bathing bookedb3 months grooming until October!!? I get you want to secure clients so you know you have business but making it only available to people who allowed you operate in the first place is ridiculous. Now someone new needs to wait until someone isn't satisfied, moves or decides they found a better place? By then that other person will have found a groomer they like. Bathing; booked for 3 months and grooming are booked until October oo and new customers usually only get in if there is a cancelation....wish I would have known the reviews were from ppl going there for years ONLY. read more

Reached out to Bark Bath & Beyond (great name by the way) and spoke with the owner Joe who was super friendly and accommodating. Upon arrival, we chatted for a bit about my dog and her history, all of which he took into consideration before taking her in. He was able to get everything done and more within a short amount of time and had her looking amazing! My dog was actually happy and stress free after the process, which is always a huge relief. I spoke with Joe about some tips and ideas which were all really helpful. Joe seems to genuinely care about the animals he works with and takes great pride in his work. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone without hesitation, and even those who already have a groomer I would urge you to visit Joe just once and compare the experience...you will not be disappointed! read more

This is a great grooming place. The owner, Joe, is a real artist. Clearly he loves dogs because it shows in the way he talks to them to put them at ease. I brought in my nervous, scared little Pomchi to get her nails clipped, and he was very gentle and patient with her. My other 2 dogs come home happy and really beautifully groomed.
