Words can't express how amazing Joe and his employees are. My dog can be difficult, but yet he treated him with nothing but love. When we went to pick him up, my dog seems to have attached to him. Bark bath and beyond is the best place to bring your pets. Joe the owner is soo good and has a real talent. I've been bringing my shitzu, Kira, for about two years now and it's always a great job. With previous groomers my dog would always be nervous and scared going. However, when I bring him to Joe he's always excited to see him. Kira practically leaps out of the car to get his hair done and spend time with his buddy. My dog absolutely loves him and you can tell he treats him very well. Joe is very responsive and will let you know right away if he has availability. The prices are fair for the quality service we get. His new place is clean and very close. The haircut is always an A plus. Kira comes out looking like a little stud teddy bear complete with a bandanna. He looks and smells great. Joe was easy to book with - I just wanted my dogs toes trimmed and a bath. He squeezed me in next day. I got there promptly at 9 AM so did he and an associate. He was kind with my dog and he worked with her on calming down (she runs anxious). I asked for pricing and it was decent for Long Island, I thought. I have a hard time leaving my dog behind, after reading all Joes positive reviews (42) I felt she was in good, reliable hands. He had told me it'll take approx 2 hours and within 1.5 hours she was ready. Joe had called my cell to let me know. Upon arrival, I saw she looked so clean and her paws were trimmed so well. To the people who left the 1 & 2 star reviews because they couldn't get an appointment because they were full, SHAME ON YOU! Why would you give a low rating to someone who would otherwise have a perfect 5 star rating because you couldn't get in. When you post a review based on your excellent service out your very poor service that's one thing but when you post a bad review e when you never even received service because you couldn't get in the door because this business is doing everything right , that is just petty. Do you know how many business's suffer from uncalled for bad reviews?! I would love to get my Maggie into BB&B but if they aren't taking new customers I'm not gonna be spiteful and put a bad mark on his business. To Joe, though I don't know you I admire you for not taking on too many dogs and keeping them in cages for hours while rushing through and not giving each dog the care they should be receiving. My dog is traumatized each time she goes to the groomer after being caged for 5 hours, that's why I'm on here looking for a caring groomer. Tired of paying $140.-$160. for mediocre service, the last time they didn't even trim and clean her feet or cut her nails and she comes home miserable after being caged for so long. So kudos to you for not overbooking! To the people who left those bad reviews, don't mark his business because you couldn't get in, many restaurants on here have waiting lists that are over a year or more and they still have a right to be here and be rated. Joe is amazing! I found him through a recommendation on Sachem Moms Facebook group after the groomer I had been going to for 6 years closed. Joe is always quick to get back to me to book an appointment, he's super friendly and has superb customer service! I forgot I had an appointment today after confirming last night and he called to remind me after the fact and squeezed me in. My Shepherd Husky mix sheds like crazy so I get her deshedded, nails trimmed and teeth wiped. Joe and his employees take their time (which is perfect for cleaning the house) and put care into what they do. They send my girl home smelling like a bouquet of flowers with a beautiful bandana! He gives her a treat when she arrives and leaves, she's always so happy to be there. When we get home, she loves to race into the house to show my husband (her daddy) how beautiful she looks. I recently had my 10 month old retriever groomed by Joe. It was our dogs first hair cut, so we did some research on local breeders to ensure our pup had a good experience (we have not been happy with hair cuts other local groomers have given our older retriever & wanted to try somewhere new). At Bark Bath & Beyond we had a great experience from start to finish. The groomer Joe greeted us and introduced himself to our pup. Gave him some treats and took a look at what hair needed to be cut. We explained what we wanted done and asked for any recommendations he could offer. By the end of the conversation, we felt comfortable leaving our little pup and his hair in Joe's hands. About 4 hours later we were there to pick up our Ollie. He was excited to see us, tail wagging, smelt great, and his hair was soft and trimmed perfectly! Joe added a Moroccan oil treatment which smelt and felt so nice on his coat.
