Called about a month ago to schedule an appointment for my 2 female shepherds to get a bath. Was open to taking one in first and then the other if need be. Spoke to a young girl who I think is the owner and while she was nice she first stated she had nothing available until late September. Then walked back on that by asking how big my females were and that she was working by herself with no staff and doesn't really take large dogs. With the high cost of living on LI idk how you manage to pay for rent for your shop in areas like Nesconset by catering to only small dogs?? Business hours are also listed as 8am-3pm, which while I get there maybe other life obligations limiting availability but hiring an experienced groomer to maybe handle the larger dogs and keep the operations open later might help. Although I'm giving another 5 star review it is extremely well deserved for Stephanie and her business. First of all... sad to say this but as some of you know Sam is no longer with us and he unfortunately only got groomed by Stephanie that once before he passed on. The letter I received from Stephanie after she found out about his passing was extremely heartfelt and beautiful. It will be something I will more than likely treasure for the rest of my life. To make a long story short I got Sam when I was 11... he died when I was almost 30 so losing the pup I grew up with was devastating. But on a happier note... I now have a new beautiful little girl named Tilly (who is a Bichon/Shihtzu Mix aka a Teddy Bear). The first time walking in without Tilly was nothing but amazing. When my mom and I walked in Stephanie immediately recognized us and said something to the effect of "Oh my God! How are you guys?! Did you get a puppy?!" Anyway... the first visit with Tilly was to get her butt buzzed and her nails cut because they were just too long. Second visit was her actual first haircut! Both my mom and I are particular and requested Stephanie do her grooming. Of course we were nervous because it was the first time we left her out of sight with a non-family member. Stephanie was nothing but fabulous! I cannot rave enough about her and her salon. So if you have a pooch that needs some grooming or a bath and you're a local you should hit up Groomerella's because Stephanie is wonderful. There is a plethora of words to describe how I feel about Stephanie and her loving caring ways. Thanks to Stephanie and her staff again. We will see you guys soon! read more

Just picked the boys up from having their hair done and they look wonderful! This was our first time at this groomer and everyone was very nice! We recently moved and that meant having to find a new groomer (which is sad because I really liked our last groomer). Stephanie and Co. did a great job on Bailey and Beans, the boys seemed to have enjoyed their time at the groomer, and I am happy to have found a caring groomer who does an excellent job. Horrified! Specifically explained by situation (with my autistic son and allergies). Showed a picture, actually 2... the girl did say he would be a little shorter cause of a "comb" ... again showed the pictures. I said, "not that short, teddy bear like. rounded". Never having a dog and going with the YELP reviews, I trusted she understood. Everyone understood. Sadly, I was mistaken. HE WAS SCALPED! It's a chop shop. Same haircut for all. In addition, their idea of "hypoallergenic is keeping them in a open pen with someone not 3 ft. away cutting another dogs hair. I came home, took an allergic pill, re-bathed my dog and had to deal with a total melt down from my autistic son when he saw his puppy... or what he thought wasn't his puppy. Thank you. My daughter recommended Groomerella's to me after she brought her dog, Bailey, there and at first I resisted because it is 20 minutes from my home and my groomer, at the time, was around the corner from my house. My two pups, Toby and Jesse, are not good travelers, to say the least! Eventually I gave in and I have to say, I would drive an hour to these people if I had to....they do beautiful work and are extremely patient and kind to all their furry clients, even the dirty ones I bring. It amazes me that they'll have us back after each visit because my pups are high maintenance...one has a skin condition and warts (!) and the other just howls for his mama the whole time! DISAPPOINTED, after searching to replace my usual groomers since I move to Smithtown, I picked Groomerella's base on the great reviews, and so I was wrong, maybe because my little guy was a new customer it's why he was left as the last one to leave the shop on a Sunday, I do not appreciate dropping him off by 10:30 am only to get him back by almost 4 pm, he's a nervous little one and being inside a cage all day its not exactly how I want him to be, situations like this where the groomers have kept him basically an entire day it's why I switch groomers in the past, not only did I call around 2:30 to asked why he was not ready but I was told he was going to be the last one and based on his hair cut I can tell he was done in such a rush, and then shop owner calls me complaining why no one was there to pick him up at 4pm only because she was waiting to close shop, so now she was in a rush to leave and go on with her day! but no consideration was taken when my dog was drop off at 10:30 am and sat inside a cage for almost 5 hrs, which means if your dropping off your dog to get groom you better make sure you have all day to sit around waste your day and not do a single thing, and make sure if your running errands you don't go too far because you don't know exactly when your dog will be ready. if you can't have a pet ready within an hour or two at most I suggest not to give someone a morning app if you can't get the poor animal out at a descent time. so lesson learn and I guess I'll sacrifice and take my drive to my old groomers!. read more

I am no ordinary dog mom and my dogs are my children. I have a very high maintenance Havanese girl and i know she's a difficult dog when it comes to grooming. Maybe 2 people have groomed her in her entire 7 years of life. I did it myself many times and boy, can she be difficult? Frustrating even. The other person who i allow to groom my dog is Stephanie. Every time I have taken my dog there, he is actually excited to go in! I took my maltipoo to Groomerella and I was very impressed. The owner and her staff are very friendly and they really listen to their customers. I was also pleasantly surprised how clean the place was. My dog sufferes from separation anxiety so it was very important to me that he doesn't spend many hours in the crate (also for the sake of the staff as he cries non stop). He owner called me as soon as he was ready, about 2 hours after I had dropped him off. He looked great.
