I feel compelled to write a post regarding yelp and fake posts! You know the business owner doesn't allways have to be the one who is wrong! I find it disgusting that yelp allows people to people to post fake posts and create lies, then when said business owner complained to yelp,they say they will gladly remove the post for a fee! Appalling ! What further disgusts me is that some people of the general public feel that threatening a business owner with a bad post on yelp is a way to get their own way! (Sherri Billo) I get the fact that you can't please everyone and not everyone will be happy! As a 26 yr business owner I have learned to strive for perfection and it's ok to fall short because you can please some of the people some of the time but you will never please all the people all of the time! I would like to recant an event that has just happened! A client sherry Billo drops off her dog Mia for a groom! When asked history of Mia sherry not once disclosed her dog had a back injury only when she picked Mia up did she disclose soma had been injured 2x's previous from in her words her previous vet and groomer ! If this were my dog or anyone else's dog I would think this information would be valuable to Mia's grooming experience! We groomed Mia with out any issues she was a great client although she was very skidding and somewhat neurotic ! After her grooming I went to take Mia off the table and she instantly freaked out and tried to jump away! Thankfully the dog officer was here picking up a dog I was grooming for the shelter and was witness to the incident! The result was Mia bruised her eye even though I caught her before she landed on the floor! We are working with live animals whom are not allways cooperative ! We do everything in our power to provide a safe, clean happy environment for every pet regardless of weather it is a shelter dog or a beloved pet! When I gave Mia back to sherry and was explained what happened she then disclosed she had a back injury! She seemed to be fine and two days later called me saying Mia needed to see a vet! I offered to have her take Mia to MY vet at My expense at Sherry's convience! Sherry opted to take her to an emergency vet! I am a licensed vet tech I knew Mia was not injured enough to require vet care but was concerned about her previous back injury! Which is why I offered to have her see my vet! I later get a text from sherry saying she dropped the vet bill off in my mail box! At first I thought she was just keeping me updated on Mia! Then she asked to come by to pick up a check... at which I replied why? When I refused to pay HER vet bill sherry thought it was appropriate to call me every vulgar name in the book and threaten me with a bad review on yelp! So in issuance in Sherry's own words she stated if I want her to go away quietly and not put any reviews up that I will pay her vet bill if not she was going to call everyone she could think of and make bad reviews to make trouble for me! First of all nobody pays my vet bills but me ,second of all I'm not in business to be paying other people's vet bills yes I agreed to take her to my vet because I have an agreement with my vet and he treats me well and he's fair and honest ! Personally I think yelp should do some fact checking before they allowed bogus post to be put up on their site because the only thing that allowing bogus posts to be put up on their site does is diminish yelps credibility and hurt hard working honest tax paying business owners reputation! And the fact that yelp charges a fee to remove it nothing more then a money making scam! If anyone has ever gone to an after hours emergency vet they would know it's $100 just to walk in the door Sherry's bill was $153 that in and of itself states there was nothing wrong! I once had a young girl put up a fake post because she wasn't mature enough to handle the truth let alone her own dog! She then had her friends from all over the country give me one star reviews none of which have ever had any interaction with me or stepped foot in my business! Yelp is fake news! read more

I just read two negative comments and I can't believe why people have to lie and try to blame everyone else instead of stepping up and admit they were wrong on how they care for their pet. We have been a customer of John's for many years and my dogs come home smelling and looking beautiful but more important they are happy and not stressed out. And for someone to bring in a matted dog and wants the groomer to make their dog look like they should after being matted for months should not own a dog. We have been in John's to pick up our dogs and have heard the dogs they are grooming growling and trying to bite the groomer and instead of yelling at the dog you can hear John talking to the dog in a sweet and calm voice to try and calm down the dog. Maybe if you people spent time brushing and combing your pets they would not get stressed when John or one of the groomers are working on them. How many groomers do you know clean their place every night and clean with bleach so there are no germs from some of the animal's that come into his spa. I have owned Dobermans for 40 years and never have I had a problem with the way they look or act after being at John's. I was very sick in 2010 and John came all the way to our house to pick up our dogs and he had our male for 53 days and when I was laying in bed for 13 weeks I was crying thinking my poor dogs must be so sad well John use to send me picture's of my dogs playing with some of the day care dogs and they were having fun. If anyone reading this think "oh one of John's" family member is writing this wrong. Step up to the plate and take care of your pets the right way and not try to blame a person who is trying to help your pet, you don't realize what pain they are in being matted. John does not dope up the dogs as some other groomers do. I would tell everyone if you want a happy smelling and looking it's best bring them to John's. Would love to see what your house looks and smells like when you show no shame bring a matted dog that smells like urine to be groomed. I give John 100 stars. read more

save your pet! don't bring your animal to this guy! sad to say, but this guy is not an animal lover, he is in it just for the money, a true groomer is an animal lover, this guy is tough with the animals like there in boot camp or something. i brought my dog to him once, and that is all it took, first off i had a tight schedule that day, he promised me that he was going to do my dog first because i told him that i would have to cancel if he couldn't get him done before a certain time, to which he took the full length of time that it would have normally taken, so that made me late for the appt that i had, and that's not all, when he was finally done i went to pick up my dog, i gave him the money to which i needed change, because there was no way that this guy was going to make i think it was 20 bucks tip that i was suppose to get back, so he came up with the excuse that he needed to send a person next door to get change for me, that he didn't have it cause his customers give him 50 and one hundred dollar bills all the time so he doesn't have that much change in the drawer, i never heard of such bs in my life, did this guy think i had stupid written all over my forehead or what! i had to wait exactly 20 minutes before he said anything about my change, he kept telling me that the person hadn't come back from the store yet that was sent to get the change, this guy didn't send anyone out, he was hoping that i would say forget it and let him keep the 20 because he gave me back one of the 20's that i gave him from his own money and told me he didn't know why the person was taking so long and gave me one of the 20's and told me i was all set, this guy is a crook big time! and that is not all, ever since my dog has been to this guy, every groomer that he goes to now he spooks right the hell out, i think he had one bad experience with this guy, the way he thinks that he's a pro at training dogs when actually he just raises his voice to yell, any dog will cower to that, remember, save your dog from the beast! read more

I have been going to Doggie Styles for a long time. I have a deaf puppy, a cattle dog and John and his staff have helped me train and socialize him. John has come to my house to work with him and guide us in training. We were advised to get a hearing dog to help with our deaf dog. John helped us locate and get a new hearing puppy. Due to my husbands health issues John went to pick him up and make sure the puppy was healthy for us. He has gone above and beyond what he should have for us. When ever we have a question or problem we pick up the phone and John is there to help. We bring our puppies to his spa regularly and I can tell you we get the 5 star treatment. His staff treat the pets that come in like they were their own with love and kindness. I have seen some of the poor condition people bring their pets in it is horrible and John and his staff work hard to make the poor animal look good. John gives tips and ideas on how to work with or help your pet. When people call numerous times to inquire about their pets they have to stop what they are doing to answer the phone. If John's Spa was not a great place he would not have so many pets to take care of. The traffic in the Spa is a condition that shows you how good they are. So if you bring your pet to John in deplorable condition be prepared to have him/her taken care of. For the people who bring their pets in to be taken care of in deplorable condition shame on you, you should be ashamed, and the guilt you have should be lashed out at your reflection and stop blaming others for your problem. John and his staff don't deserve your condemnation look in the mirror and yell at yourself. John, I respect you and your staff your doing a great job and don't let those who are guilty of disrespecting their pets get you down. Joyce. read more

The RISPCA said it had received a tip that there were several animals at the Sayles Hill Road business, Doggie Styles, that had been without adequate care for multiple days. Once inside, the RISPCA found 15 cats and one dog living in squalid conditions. The RISPCA said the cats were in a communal living environment with litter boxes over flowing with feces. Due to the accumulation of urine in the cats enclosure, the RISPCA said the air quality was "an immediate hazard to humans and animals." The RISPCA said the dog was found in a secured kennel "with accumulated feces and urine, as well as lacking access to adequate food and water." All of the animals were seized and examined by a veterinarian at the RISPCA. None of the animals are up for adoption at this time. There is currently an active arrest warrant issued for Froais related to the seizure of six French bulldogs from his business earlier this month, which were also found living in squalid conditions. I stopped by the doggie styles salon for a get acquainted visit. I met the owner John and was very impressed with his true love and compassion for animals. I ended up leaving my seven-month-old Yorky terrier Jack. I picked him up a few hours later he looked great! He didn't look stressed out or scared. While I was there another customer was stopping by just to tell John how pleased and happy her parents were with him and his services. I had already heard so many wonderful things about the salon I was so please that I chose to bring my dog there. I will definitely return and recommend his salon to my friends. read more

I've been bringing my dogs to John for over 25 years. No one can compare when it comes to his ability to assess and correct a dogs behavior problems. Some owners don't care to "own" the fact that problems stem from the way they treat their dogs. John tells the truth whether you like it or not. A+ rating on BBB speaks for itself. My regular groomer was closed and my dog had fleas, so I was in a pinch! Doggie Styles took my shih tzu right away and in a few hours he was all clean, clipped, and happy. Staff is very nice, and prices are reasonable, especially for the convenience. Would return and recommend. read more
