About a week and a half ago my mother broke her fibula and ankle, sweeping her off her feet for at least 2 months. I contacted Calia after 5pm on a Saturday and before my mother was even discharged, Cali was able to rework my walks and help get my mothers dogs (new clients) on the schedule for walks and check ins. I have worked with Shawn for nine years now. My dog Gabby was tied to a tree as a puppy and she was 10 months when I got her. She was not easy to manage. She pulled when walking her on the leash, and even more so when other dogs were around. Even though I had had dogs before her, and I thought I knew dogs, she was so difficult, I was ready to give up. She was stubborn and wanted to be constantly in charge. Shawn taught me that discipline is not about teaching your dog to sit or lie down (that was easy for her), but about gaining her trust and having the authority to be in charge. He spent a lot of time teaching me. Yes, teaching me...... The problem was that I was lenient and Gabby did not trust me. He taught me how to keep my distance, gain respect, be consistent, how to gain her attention, and most importantly - how to be in charge. Gabby still goes to stay with Shawn when I travel and I am always happy to pick her up. Whenever I do, she is calm and well behaved. I tend to lose that calmness she gains by staying with him over time, so I am glad to leave her with Shawn for a refresher again and again. Gabby and I have great time together now - to think I was so frustrated I was going to give her up 9 years ago! Thank you Shawn. As a final note, I was a vet in my past life. Oral papillomas (or oral warts) in dogs are contacted frequently in puppies less than 2 years. It has more to do with age (the immune system is not fully mature) than with stressful environment. The lesions go away with time.

Going into it, my greatest fear was that Breelee's happy-go-lucky personality -- the very thing that makes her so special -- would somehow be dulled or changed. I worried she might come home with dimmer eyes or a less joyful spirit. I'm thrilled to say the opposite happened. Breelee came home with the same bright, loving spirit -- but now she also listens beautifully! She comes when called, heels like a champ, and stays in her "place" perfectly, even with distractions. The transformation in her behavior has been amazing without sacrificing any of her sweet, bubbly nature. We owe it all to Chris and the team at Wild River whose expertise, patience, and care made this experience better than we could have hoped. We can't thank them enough and would highly recommend this training to anyone looking to bring out the best in their dog without losing what makes them so special.

We had a beach getaway planned for early summer (booked a year in advance) and had no idea what to do with our (then 13 week old) kitten. I searched online and immediately found all of the glowing reviews for Cat's Pajamas - I'm so glad! I spoke with Patty on the phone and she eased all of my worries about leaving our baby Leo with her. We boarded Leo for the week we were away and he was the happiest boy when we picked him back up! He is a very needy kitten (needs lots of attention and cries if he doesn't get it), so I was worried about leaving him - but no need to worry with Patty! Patty made sure to have him out for playtime regularly and sent us lots of pictures to keep us updated. Leo absolutely loved her! Plus, Patty even allowed us to bring our non-clumping litter for her to use during the week, since Leo was still too young for regular clumping (if you've ever used it, you know non-clumping litter can be a pain, but Patty didn't even bat an eye at the inconvenience of it!). We left Leo with her again at the end of the summer for a last minute weekend trip and received the same 5-star treatment! We love Patty and can't recommend The Cat's Pajamas Inn highly enough!

Patty, the owner seemed lovely. I wasn't thrilled about the size of the crates 6x4, but figured we could do a trial run for 1 night before his actual stay. We agreed on a day and time for me to bring my cat and the day before she asked if I could come at 9:00am instead of 9:30am because she was heading out for 2 hours at 9:15!! WHAT?? She thought nothing of having me bring my cat who had never been there before, shove him in a crate and the leave right after he gets there for 2 hours? The whole point of me bringing him was for her to meet him, see how he does. When I asked if it might be better to bring him later that day when she would be around, she said no I'm having company!! Again WHAT?? How much attention and time was she planning on spending with my cat who would probably have been frightened as can be. I would NEVER bring my cat there and I'm so happy that I learned what she's truly all about beforehand. Looks can be deceiving!!

You should reach out to the reviewer before you effect a business owner in a negative way. AND AGAIN: Every once in a while you make a decision on blind faith and it pays off BIG TIME. We rescued a 12 week old puppy from Texas and quickly learned we needed pro help as we haven't been puppy parents for 20 years and this little girl was a nutjob and may have been heading down a bad path behavior wise. Kristin got right back to me after my initial web page inquiry. When she arrived, she was relaxed and professional and her kind, caring, genuine personality was obvious from the start. She CARES about our furbaby. Her training skills were so effective even from the initial consultation that this little pup was learning: come,sit,shake and down (heel) and most important to us was her going in her crate when asked as this is something we really want her to master and be comfortable with. Kristin made it known that our role is crucial in her training and gave us handouts for our homework and skills to be met. By the second session, our pupper was learning: "touch" (snoot boops), learning to jump into her bed and "leave it" (biting stuff) and stay. We are able to redirect the evening zoomy/crazy time with physical and mental workouts for her that is good for all of us.
