zero if I could leave zero…read more My sweet Kyra was in there care for only a few hours before a dog "accidentally" escaped their kennel and attacked my baby girl. She crossed the rainbow bridge as a result of the attack. This kennel doesn't let dogs interact with each other but somehow my dog was attacked and killed. Owners have yet to formally apologize or contact me since this tragic incident. Nothing brings my swest girl back and they had one job to keep her safe and care for her. She didn't even live one day or some meal in their care. This should have never happened, My Kyra left my house walking on all 4s and came home as a box of dust. Kyra was attacked there August 2024

TL;DR: employees answering phones are giving out false/unverified prices, they didn't do the work…read morethey were asked to do, and they did work they weren't asked to do. I see a lot of positive reviews so I'm willing to accept we had a one-off experience, but we're done, and if you take your pet there you better make sure you get a price in writing. We were given a price on the phone but when my wife picked up our dog we were charged double the price we were told, and they didn't do the cut we asked for. They did a shave instead which I could have done myself for free. We took her to a groomer for a professional cut, not something anyone with a good electric shaver could do. They had 2 excuses for the increased price. The first was that they had to perform extra work which resulted in extra charges. That's a legitimate excuse if you call and ask if it's okay, but you didn't call and decided to do the work without our permission. When is the last time you were okay with a business deciding to do extra work on your dime without consulting you first? My guess is never. You never do extra work without asking the customer if they are willing to pay for the service. Second my wife was told the person that quoted her the price should have checked with the groomer. Okay, well that is your employee which makes it your responsibility. If your employees don't do their job correctly the responsibility for the error doesn't fall on your customers. If the person answering the phone needs to check with someone about the price then they need to do so. If they don't have the ability to do that then they need to say "I'm unable to provide you with a price at this time." It's also worth noting that this is the shortest time in between groomings she's ever had and they still took the same amount of time as her regular groomer, except in addition to not cutting her the way we asked they were also $40 more expensive than her next most expensive grooming.

Terry has provided us with so much more than just that. She gave us comfort and peace of mind. We did weekly daycare visits leading up to our trip so that my dog could get to know Terry and get comfortable with her. This helped so much with her anxiety. When it came time for our trip I knew that my dog was in good hands and that she would feel comfortable and safe with Terry. Terry took care of her, like she was her own and sent me daily updates letting me know how she was doing, which I loved. I will definitely continue to use Terry's services and recommend her to everyone!

However, one day, I passed a yard sign for PUPS & PURRS, pulled over, and spoke to the owner, Wendy, who invited me to bring my pups without an appointment and answered my questions. I was instantly impressed; she wasn't trying to sell herself, and I thought, 'This may be the one.' My intuition was correct after making an appointment. I stayed in a designated prep room for pet parents, with divided sections; each had see-through windows where they were groomed. The second room was for puppies to play while waiting to be groomed, and another gated area for pets needing solitude before or after grooming. Wendy, the groomer, charged less than previous groomers at a teaching vet hospital and others working at well-known pet stores in DE. I've gone to PET & Purrs several times & my pets are NOW scheduled every 6 weeks. It's been a pleasure to share! Mrs Dee, Newark, DE.

In addition to his size and strength, Zippy is extremely reactive, thus very difficult to control, when he encounters other dogs during walks. I advertised for dog walkers on Nextdoor and received a few responses from kids and other dog lovers. When Jack Feldmann the owner of Your Pet's Best Friend reached out to me, it was immediately apparent that he is a professional -- the real deal. He and his associate, Kevin Wilson, were totally unfazed by Zippy's size and potential for problems. Both developed great relationships with our monster dog and managed him beautifully. Fortunately, I'm again able to walk Zippy, but I will certainly call Your Pet's Best Friend anytime our circumstances require support with Zippy. I will definitely use Jack again for any future pet sitting vacations that I will need. He is the best! G
