Italian Beef, fries and a beverage. All served temp appropriate. Beef tender with good flavor. Fries hot and crisp.

Located in a strip mall, parking easy. Appearance inside a bit cluttered, but clean. Walls covered with menu suggestions. My first visit. Went with an Italian Beef w/ hot peppers. Side of fries. Both served hot, moist and flavorful. Just a quick lunch stop, but very satisfied with the offering.

I ordered an Italian, breaded steak sandwich. It's the driest, most overcooked sandwich I have ever had in my life. Unacceptable.

Ok. I ordered an Italian, breaded steak sandwich. This is the driest, most overcooked sandwich I may have ever had in my life. How is this acceptable to serve someone? Where is the red sauce? Rest of the family is enjoying their gyros without complaint. Too far to drive back to replace. Extremely disappointing.

I got a Hot dog and fries (mine had only pickles and ketchup)

I got my hot dog to-go and it was the exact thing I needed. It was so good! The service was great I got my food right away (before I could even text my friend on how good this place is.) The ambiance was absolutely adorable! I forgot to get everyone's name but everyone was so nice and sweet! So pleasantly surprised for a first time visit and I just had to review!

I've never been to Texas. But this burger does make me feel different. I love the Texas burger!

It's not a big place, but it's filled with lots of food choices.

I love hot dogs. And as much as I shudder to think what's in them, it is still my go-to fast food when I'm traveling. I think hot dog joints should be as common as Starbucks or McDonalds. And if one hot dog place should be replicated on every corner, it should be Doggie Diner. I was in Plainfield, craving some fast food and I spotted Doggie Diner. (It's easy to miss, squeezed between Little Caesars and a dry cleaner in a small building facing the street in front of Menards.) For a moment I thought it might be a place to buy dog food until I saw the window sign that said "Milkshakes". I pulled in the parking lot, checked Yelp and saw that it was worth going inside. Once inside it took time to read their menu because it's seemingly endless... hot dogs, gyros, meatballs, burgers, chicken, submarines - turkey, salami, veggie, Philly steaks, hoagies... if you can put it between two pieces of bread, I think this place has it. I went with the boring choice and got the hot dog with fries... but not just one for $3.69. No, I took advantage of their 2 hot dog deal with fries and a drink for $2.26 more! The first hot dog was delicious, bakery fresh bun (no sesame seeds - YAY!), the hot dog was just like I got from the lunch ladies back in school. The fries were the thin cut, grab-a-handful-dipped-in-catchup-and-shove-in-your-face kinda fries. One hot dog and I was satisfied. Then I looked down in the basket and there was another delicious beauty staring at me with enough fries that it looked like I hadn't eaten any yet. Well, of course, I couldn't throw it away. The next thing I knew my basket was empty and my stomach was pleasantly full. For a normal human, that would have been plenty, but I couldn't end the enjoyment there. As I was leaving I noticed that one of the shake flavors was banana. Banana..? I just had to know if it was a good as it sounded. It was. :-)

Jumbo Chicago style dog. No poppyseed bun...

Average hot dog & burger joint. At fair prices. They put chili powder on the fries not a fan.

In greater Los Angeles area where I live, we don't have Culver's. So when visiting Chicagoland,…read moreit's always a treat to go to Culver's . My nephews drove the hubby and I to this Plainfield location on a late weeknight evening in late November. I've been to another Culver's and remembered that I like the ButterBurgers. It's a fresh, grilled burger served up on a lightly buttered, toasted bun. We had just flown in from SoCal with just snacks on our flight so I was feeling a double ButterBurger and the hubby got a pot roast sandwich. I tasted his and it was delicious. The double ButterBurger was double good! Another side we don't seem to have (or I have not found something comparable yet in SoCal) are Wisconsin Cheese Curds. Culver's says they use fresh, unaged yellow and white Wisconsin cheddar cheese. They deep fry them and the bites are a warm, buttery crunch. On the receipt, there was a coupon for frozen custard which I passed on as I was adapting to the local weather. Service was good by the young lady at the counter. The Christmas decor also looked nice in the lobby/dining area. Looking forward to returning to Culver's whenever we visit the Chicago suburbs again! PS- As I am a fan of the cheese curds, not sure how I feel about the large cheese curd plushies that they have. (Refer to my photo of them).

Today we ordered a maple bacon milkshake, peanut butter milkshake, 1/4 pound grilled cheese burger on toast, 1/2 pound New Orleans burger and a shareable basket of parmesan truffle fries. Let's start with the positives, the shakes were well made and not overwhelmingly sweet and we liked that a lot. My husband's 1/2 pound burger seemed a little small and my grilled cheese burger said it would be on Texas toast but it seemed like it was sourdough bread and not really thick cut like Texas toast should be. I was looking forward to eating here because the pictures of the fries online looked long and thick cut, the basket of fries we got didn't look like that at all and lacked Parmesan cheese. The negative experience was the fact the water tasted weird. I took one sip and tasted a weird chemical taste but my husband and I didn't complain, we just paid and left. I don't know if it was the water or the cup but it definitely had a weird taste. Overall, the experience was ok. I think we had higher expectations seeing all the pictures online. The name of the place threw us both off because we thought it was a Latino owned burger joint with a Mexican twist but that wasn't the case at all.
