I dont recommend this place was there over a year ago and they almost killed my dog, over groomed her and she came down with a fever and sores and scabs on her back from being raked hard. Had to take her to emergency vet at a cost of $1,200 put on iv fluids and antibiotics. Checked with a friend who is a groomer in another area and she advised me thatmy dog was quickly groomed and raked hard to make all the scabs my dog had. read more

With an elderly dog with severe hip dysplasia we asked for just a wash and not to put her on the slippery floor. No blow dry- just call us for pick up. She was a large white dog and was somewhat dirty. Having skin problems we kept her as clean as reasonably possible After hours of waiting, we get a pick up call. When we arrived she couldn't walk and we we're told that they had put her on the floor and she had slipped and "starfished"which means that the two back legs went in opposite directions I am sad to say that after that she declined quickly ....she had almost no ability to stand up without our assistance. The quality of her life was diminished tremendously and the difference between her abilities to get around before her visit and after her visit were devastating and we are heartbroken that they didn't listen to us and their thoughtlessness caused a heartbreaking physical damage. we took her to the vet and the vet sent us to Norstar where they told us that the fall at the groomers had caused irreparable damage to her hips and spine... it wasn't long after that that we had to admit that this was not something that she could live with and we had to say goodbye. No wonder they are always offering discount coupons. Starfish is the word I used to describe the event and is a common canine fall position. The customer service is poor. The groomer misread the grooming instructions and complete shaved my Berndoodle down to nothing. The owner called me to tell me about this and stated we would receive a discount for the error. After 4 hours we went to pick him up, the owner was not there but another staff member was and she gave us a $10 discount, which is ridiculous. She stated that a service was still provided there for only $10 off was warranted. I understand mistakes are made and I also understand a service was provided However, we should not have been charged for that haircut, they could have charged us for the bath/blow dry and nail trim only. If the customer service were better I would have been able to forgive and forget, unfortunately that isn't the case and we will not be returning or recommending this place to anyone. read more

My appt was canceled unexpectedly on the same day bc they were backed up on one occasion. When I asked If I could be penciled in for the next week, was told they were too booked. Rescheduled for the following week but forgot. So when I called to reschedule, admitting my mistake with forgetting, was told I'd have to put down a deposit bc I should have called in advance for the missed appointment. I again expressed my apologies for the mishap (the first time it's ever happened) and again was reminded of what I should have done. Very disappointing conversation as it felt more like a disciplinary action than an understanding. The service itself was mediocre at best. Another instance, brought dogs there in the am, didn't get called until the place was closing. Asked what happened, stated they were having issues with other problematic dogs. Much complaints about my dogs as well, like their breath or ears and I'm thinking, is this not a grooming business? I was trying to give the place the benefit of the doubt, but I'm done. This place was great. We have 2 medium sized dogs, who've never been to a pet salon to get a bath so we were nervous how they'd like it. We bought a Groupon online for self washing the dogs for $10 each! They give you everything you need on site- shampoo, conditioner, face wash, towels, waterproof aprons & blowdryer. I went there for the first time this weekend, and it was terrific. They had all the supplies necessary for me to wash my 75 pound Flat-coated retrievers, and at what I considered a pretty reasonable price! I will definitely be going back! This was my yorkie's second time to be groomed here. No problem with first time BUT this time she came home from complete grooming session still looking as if she wasn't given a bath! She still had dirt specks above her nose and the hair under her ears was all greasy! Called and stated the issue with Megan and was told that yes she noticed that when drying her. Now don't you think thats when she should be rewashed???? This grooming was not cheap. $63 for a 6 pound dog. Evidently they don't care about customer satisfaction. Our German Shepherd mix loves it here every 3 months. They do a phenomenal job cleaning and trimming her nails and making her look like royalty. Anne the main desk manager gives us a 5 dollar discount for making an appointment ahead of time. I was recommended by a dear friend to bring my rescue dog here and it is worth it! The customer service was friendly however I'm very disappointed with my dog's overall grooming session. My dog is a 7lb maltipoo and they cut her almost bald :( What's worse is the cut itself was extremely uneven and poorly executed. She was also nicked and clearly bled in two places. They also kept her in a cage once she was done which I personally hate. When my BF went to pick her up, a stranger was touching her through the bars of the cage :( I would not recommend taking your tiny pup here. I'm used to a higher level of skill with grooming and I'd found this on Yelp with good reviews. Update 9/15/16: Someone from this facility commented on my review (not sure when) stating that my BF (who dropped off my dog) refused to pay extra for a special de-matting tool. This, as well as the comment that my dog was extremely matted, are brazen lies. In addition, this person added my dog was checked for nicks, which is either a lie or incompetence, given that she had several on her groin and legs. I am holding back on the agitation I feel regarding the content of this response suffice it to say I would never, ever recommend anyone take their dog to this place. Great place and great people who are great with dogs! I have a very anxious dog and we have been asked not to return to other local groomers, without sedatives. Meg had me bring in my dog the day before, so that she could became familiar with her as well as the shop and the next day we came for a groomong. She let me stay right next to my dog the whole time which made the whole experience more bearable for my very anxious dog. She was clipped, shampooed, dried and trimmed. Wonderful experience for my puppy. They went slow and worked with her only to her tolerance. I was able to bring her in the day before so she could hear, smell and see everything before I left her there. They are gentle and kind to all the dogs there. I sent my small dog here to be groomed. He has very long beautiful hair and I CLEARLY stated to employees that I did not want his hair buzzed all the way down. The dog they returned to me is not the dog that I sent to them - I didn't even recognize him walking out of the store. He is practically bald except for patches that they completely forgot to buzz him. Clearly stated, he looks awful. About a month ago we took our soft coated Wheatens here for grooming. We'd been there once before and bathed them ourselves. They have very specific modified show cuts so we asked about experience with this breed. We were assured they had exp. but to be sure I sent photos from all angles on the cut and a schematic for the exact cut. When my husband picked them up and brought them home I was horrified. The cut was so bad they looked like they were wearing saddles. I have never seen anything like this before. I wasn't with my husband when he got them or they wouldn't have been paid. Paid for what???? The fur is just starting to fill in again but he had to take scissors and clip the ridiculous areas. If you have a breed that needs a specific cut and it's not a poodle or schnauzer etc. don't bring them here. I would have appreciated an honest answer from the groomer and that's not what we got. Beware of Dog Wash Depot in Ewing, I left my dog there at 9:00 in the morning and went to check on her at 12 noon. I was told she had not even been on the table yet. I complained that this was really too long, however I left the dog there to be groomed. After I had driven 15 or so miles away the manager Meghan called me and began to scold me for complaining about the amount of time my dog had been waiting there she insisted that the normal time is 5 hours and I was told this. I have been taking my dogs to be groomed for 20 years to various places and never ever did it take five hours. When I argued with her she said come and get your dog I am not grooming her! Been going here since they opened, as all new business' they are great then a few years into it they go downhill. They were great, then started to tell me my dog had to be sedated she's a small yorkie mix and is very hyper, they had no problem grooming her the many times in the past. All of a sudden they said she needs to be sedated. Depending on who groomed her she was fine, maybe the one groomer who said she needed to be sedated was too rough?! Took her in between that comment not sedated, no issues, took her again and they refused grooming her because she had anxiety. Brought her back sedated and when I got there for appt they told me they only do sedated dogs certain days. I had already given my dog the pill. They have two accounts for us and were supppsed to combine them so when they called me this morning to say they wouldn't take her they called the wrong phone number. This place has been nothing but a headache. Definitely lost my business and will also lose the referrals I've sent as well. Get it together!!! Now your response is telling 'me' the customer that I tried to "sneak in". Great customer service . I used the same log in and email address as always, and the last time your people said they would combine the two accounts, still never did. I can't control your system and employees not doing their job. The more reviews I read the more it sounds just like the things you did to us, charging us ten dollars more for behavioral. FILTH!!! I hate to give any small business 1 star however the owners should know as well as future customers. I went in for the first time to wash my own dog. The person who greeted me was friendly. That was the best part of my visit. Everything went downhill from there. I still can't believe I attempted to wash my dog at this place. Outside of the stall was a sea of all kinds of dog hair. Dog hair everywhere covering every surface. The stall was much worse the floor was a combination of wet dog hair and mud. the table for the dog was the same. No attempt to tidy up for the next guest. I am truly surprised that they have any positive reviews I'm guessing most people don't see behind the desk. I hope they clean up their act. It's not safe for dogs and it's not an environment any employee should be subject to. Shame shame shame. Have some respect for yourself, your employees, and customers two and especially four legged. read more

I have been pleased with the quality of the grooming that my dog receives, and I have especially appreciated the automated grooming reminders when it comes time to make another appointment. Great place to bring your four-legged friend for a wash. Although I was satisfied with the grooming my dog received one time, I typically do the self wash since it beats having to clean my entire bathroom afterwards and strain my back during the whole process. Megan and Liz are always very helpful, and you can't beat all the soap, towels, and cleaning accessories you need to get the job done. Very disappointed with customer service the second time around. My mother brought my dog there, and English is not her first language. I had purchased another groupon, but those are only valid for first time customers. That was understandable and they subtracted the amount from my total. However, the initial price they charged was still higher than posted...so we ended up paying $15 more for my small dog. They also charged a 'rush fee' since my mom wanted to observe their grooming techniques. I stayed with my dog the first time and they never mentioned this fee. The quality of service is still excellent, but I was definitely disappointed by the lack of transparency and communication. :/ read more

Nice place, nice people, sweet to my dog, and he looked great when done. The only thing I'd say is that they shaved my dog's privates a little closer than, perhaps, he might have wished (I'm just guessing here, but he seems a little nonplussed at the outcome). I requested a short haircut for my dog. When I picked him up, he looked like a completely different dog. I had multiple people ask me if I got a new dog. He had to wear a sweatshirt or a t-shirt daily for weeks because you could tell he felt so vulnerable. He was cold all the time and had even had scabs from where the groomer must have nicked him. I felt so bad when I picked him up that day. He was acting like a completely different dog. Hasn't had a haircut in months. We will never be returning. read more

I've been looking for a place like this for a while, its difficult to wash my dog at home, he would run around in the shower, I would strain my back trying to wash and rinse him, not to mention the mess he would make shaking his wet fur all over my bathroom. The facility is really clean and the staff very professional. Its a short distance from my place. The prices are pretty reasonable for a self wash or if you prefer a full groom they are reasonable as well. We have been bringing our two goldens to Dog Wash Depot when we moved to the area and had a bad experience with a mobile groomer. The staff at Dog Wash Depot are so gentle and kind to our dogs keeping them together throughout the entire grooming process. One of our dogs gets very stressed and the staff are always very tolerant with her. We would highly recommend this grooming business.
